Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme was 14-for-20 for 173 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions during the team's Week 14 game.
The Huddle Take: Delhomme would be nothing but a Fantasy liability if he didn't have Steve Smith to throw to. Carolina is obviously a running team first, and that doesn't look like it will change any time soon.

CarolinaGrowl.com reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme is 7-2 in nine career starts against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has won three of his four home games against Tampa Bay.
The Huddle Take: Delhomme has had monster games against the Buccaneers in the past, but in his most recent encounter with Tampa Bay he threw three interceptions and no touchdowns. Even though Tampa Bay is exceedingly tough against the run, the Panthers remain a run-first team. Barring a surprise twist to the Carolina game plan, that approach will likely remain the same.

The Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme went 20-for-39 for 242 yards and three interceptions in the team's Week 6 game.
The Huddle Take: The Panthers offense was dismal all day long against an inspired Tampa Bay defense. Delhomme who has posted some nice stats at times this season, continues to see his play go up and down and should only be used as a No. 2 quarterback for fantasy teams unless he shows more steady production.

CarolinaGrowl.com reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme (quadriceps) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 2. He will start in the team's Week 5 game.
The Huddle Take: Delhomme is worth starting consideration even against a KC pass defense that has been surprisingly stingy against three out of the four quarterbacks they've faced.

CarolinaGrowl.com reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme (quadriceps) was hit early in Week 4 and his quadriceps tightened up as the game went on. He is not expected to miss Week 5.
The Huddle Take: Delhomme's worth serious consideration as a starter this weekend against Kansas City.

The Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme went 20-for-29 for 294 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 4 game.
The Huddle Take: Delhomme has shown no signs of the shoulder injury that sidelined him for much of last season. He appears to be getting stronger each week and with the addition of Steve Smith back in the lineup, Delhomme has the potential to be a nice No. 1 quarterback if your team missed out on some of the more established top signal-callers this year.
Posted: 9/22/2008 4:44pm et
CarolinaGrowl.com reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme was sacked five times during the team's Week 3 game, but did not suffer any serious injuries.
The Huddle Take: That won't last long if Delhomme continues to take the kind of pounding he did against the Vikings. His numbers were disappointing in Week 3, especially considering it was his first game with Steve Smith. Delhomme's still worth having on your team as a backup, but don't give him starting consideration until he proves he can put up the kind of numbers he was posting before hurting his elbow last season.
Posted: 9/15/2008 3:33pm et
CarolinaGrowl.com reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme (head) took a shot to the head from Chicago Bears LB Lance Briggs in Week 2, but appears fine. Delhomme said he was a little wobbly getting up, but was OK a few seconds later.
The Huddle Take: Delhomme's numbers were poor against Chicago, but should increase substantially with Steve Smith's return to action in Week 3 against Minnesota. The Viking secondary is vulnerable, and Smith is itching to get back into action. Delhomme could be a great start this week.
Posted: 9/11/2008 4:29pm et
Steve Reed, of CarolinaGrowl.com, reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme is 4-1 in his last five starts dating back to 2006. He has gone 101-for-154 for 1,078 yards with 11 touchdowns and one interception in those games.
The Huddle Take: This guy was an afterthought in the vast majority of fantasy leagues this season, and could wind up being the steal of the draft, especially when Steve Smith returns. When that happens, give serious thought to starting Delhomme unless your No. 1 quarterback has a matchup that's too good to pass up.

The Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers QB Jake Delhomme went 23-for-41 for 247 yards and one touchdown Week 1. It was his first game since Sept. 23, 2007.
The Huddle Take: A good outing by Delhomme, proving he's still got what it takes, and that was without his favorite receiver. Hopefully he'll avoid the freak injuries he's encountered early the past two seasons. He likely was drafted, but if he wasn't in your league he is a great pick up this week.
