The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Eagles PK David Akers tied a team postseason record with four field goals in the team's playoff game versus the Minnesota Vikings.
The Huddle Take: Akers allowed the Eagles to come away with points even though their offense was unable to finish a drive until midway through the fourth quarter. Points will be at a premium the further Philly progresses into the playoffs, so if their offense continues to falter at the finish Akers will be a critical asset to both the Eagles and playoff fantasy teams looking for a boost at kicker.

The Trenton Times reports Philadelphia Eagles PK David Akers is 20 pounds lighter than last year. Akers improved leg strength has allowed him to hit considerable longer field goals and kickoffs throughout training camp.
The Huddle Take: Akers has gone largely undrafted this preseason, but longer field goals might throw him into contention for a fantasy roster spot at the tail end of the kickers going off the board in the final round.
