CBSSports.com reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb threw the 200th touchdown pass of his career Week 7. He also became the 29th quarterback in NFL history to surpass 30,000 passing yards.
The Huddle Take: Good night for McNabb, somewhat expected against a terrible Redskins team, but regardless, he deserves his props. Not bad company to be in. Fantasy owners are just hoping he stays healthy...always the biggest knock on him in fantasy land.

The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib, shoulder) will wear a flak jacket for the second straight game in Week 6 to protect his mending fractured rib. Head coach Andy Reid said that McNabb is getting close to 100 percent. 'He was a little sore, not necessarily in the rib area alone, but sore from playing, on Monday,' Reid said.
The Huddle Take: The rib injury certainly did not appear to hold McNabb back any last week as he returned to action to lead the Eagles to victory. McNabb remains a solid No. 1 fantasy quarterback regardless of the opposition he is facing.

The Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson is not upset over his poor Week 5 performance, in which he caught just one pass for one yard. 'As a competitor, sure I want as many catches as I can get,' Jackson said. 'But you know there are going to be times when teams are going to try to take me out of the game, and Jeremy Maclin made some huge catches. It was definitely a great game for him.' QB Donovan McNabb said Maclin had a big game because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers covered Jackson extremely well. 'They rolled the coverage a lot to his side, and you want to get your weapons going,' McNabb said. 'Teams are going to try to take someone in this offense out of it. They're trying to take DeSean out, and when you give (other) guys an opportunity to make plays for you, I have full confidence that they will.'
The Huddle Take: This could be good or bad news for Jackson owners. The good would be Jackson getting a lot of opportunities going forward because opposing defenses know they can't simply double-cover Jackson and let Maclin run free. The bad would be defenses continuing to take their chances with Maclin while continuing to take Jackson out of the game. Of course, if they choose to take both receivers out of games, TE Brent Celek would be huge the rest of the way.

The Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) should be able to play in Week 5.
The Huddle Take: The return of McNabb should only make the Eagles better but it is nice to know that there is some quality depth at the position with backup Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick available if needed. Fantasy owners should consider McNabb a
No. 1 quarterback as long as he is fully healthy and starting for this team.

Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 8.
The Huddle Take: McNabb should be set to return this week in an extremely favorable matchup against Tampa Bay.
Posted: 10/7/2009 2:40pm et
ESPN.com reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) will practice Wednesday, Oct. 7, with the first-team offense, according to head coach Andy Reid.
The Huddle Take: Not a surprise here as it looks like McNabb's will return to action this week on schedule.
Posted: 10/5/2009 1:33pm et
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) practiced Monday, Oct. 5.
The Huddle Take: Either McNabb or Kevin Kolb should have big games the next two weeks as the Eagles play the Buccaneers and Raiders. It's a good sign for McNabb owners that it's Monday and he's practicing -- odds are he'll finally be able to return from his cracked rib.
Posted: 9/28/2009 1:33pm et
The News Journal reports Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid said QB Donovan McNabb (rib) is still mending from a fractured rib injury and will continue to throw footballs during the bye week. Reid said McNabb was still feeling tightness in the rib area made no guarantee that McNabb would start following the bye.
The Huddle Take: Reid may not want to make a guarantee, but it would be a massive surprise if McNabb isn't back under center in two weeks.

The Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (ribs) missed the team's practice Thursday, Sept. 24, and he is unlikely to play in the team's Week 3 game.
The Huddle Take: Kevin Kolb is in line to get the start with No. 3 quarterback Michael Vick also projected to see some playing time on a limited basis in a wildcat package this week. Kolb should be considered a No. 2 running back worthy of a spot start this week if your regular quarterback is injured.
Posted: 9/21/2009 5:07pm et
Updating previous reports, ESPN reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (rib) said he still is in pain from his fractured rib and is not sure if he will play in the game.
The Huddle Take: It's early in the week yet, but the early indication is that Kevin Kolb will once again start. Kolb could be worth a Fantasy start if McNabb can't go, since the Eagles are playing the Chiefs. He's at least worth consideration if your regular starter has an unfavorable matchup.
