Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) has been cleared for offseason work.

Huddle Up: Green is still firmly entrenched into the discussion of top-five receivers in fantasy. He should be off the board in the first couple of rounds.

  • Posted: 12/31/2016 8:19am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) was placed on season-ending injured reserve Saturday, Dec. 31.

Huddle Up: The 28-year-old Green had 66 receptions, 964 receiving yards and four touchdowns through 10 games this season. He will be completely healthy for the start of the 2017 campaign and should be viewed as a high-end WR1 in all fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 12/29/2016 8:45pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green hasn't been around much and hasn't been attending team meetings this week, according to players.

Huddle Up: Green declared himself ready to return from a hamstring injury prior to the Week 16 contest, so he is likely unhappy about being held out the final two games and missing out on a chance to reach 1,000 yards. The decision is understandable considering the Bengals have nothing to play for, and Green will still be a WR1 when 2017 rolls around.

  • Posted: 12/27/2016 5:58pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green can become the second wide receiver in NFL history to attain 1,000 yards receiving in his first six seasons. Green needs 36 yards in Week 17 to accomplish the feat.

Huddle Up: It would be even more impressive if Green gets to 1,000 yards this year considering the fact that he has only played in 10 games so far. He's a perennial WR1 and should be drafted as such for the 2017 season.

  • Posted: 12/24/2016 9:31am ET

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is not playing in Week 16 because the ownership decided to hold him out, according to sources. Green was not happy with the decision and it is not known known if he is still with the team or if he flew back to Cincinnati.

Huddle Up: Green is not expected to play again this season, so owners should look for other options to use in their lineups. Green should be fine for next season and will be a No. 1 receiver in all leagues.

  • Posted: 12/24/2016 9:15am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is not expected to play in the team's Week 17 game, according to a source. He has already been ruled out for Week 16.

Huddle Up: It appears that the Bengals are being cautious with Green even though he thinks he can play. Owners can keep an eye on the story next week but should look for other options to use in their lineups.

  • Posted: 12/24/2016 6:50am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) will not play in Week 16's game against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Green was a limited participant in the team's first two practice sessions during the week before practicing fully Friday, Dec. 23. However, the Bengals have decided to hold him out of action as a precautionary measure. WRs Tyler Boyd and Brandon LaFell will continue to see a decent number of targets and should be viewed as low-end flex options for deep seasonal leagues.

  • Posted: 12/23/2016 1:54pm ET

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 23, and is listed as questionable for Week 16.

Huddle Up: Green expects to play in Week 16 but likely will receive limited snaps because he has missed multiple weeks. Owners can consider Green as a risky No. 3 receiver but should not count on a big game from him.

  • Posted: 12/23/2016 11:05am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is listed as questionable on the team's injury report, although he has already confirmed he's been cleared to play in Week 16 versus the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: With so many key offensive players banged up, the Bengals certainly need him. However, he has been limited in practice all week and there's virtually no chance Cincinnati will push him to play full-time snaps in a meaningless contest after sitting out the previous four games. Owners who made it this far without Green probably have enough options at receiver to leave him on the bench during fantasy championship week.

  • Posted: 12/22/2016 7:27pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Thursday, Dec. 22.

Huddle Up: Green said he plans to return to the field in Week 16, but there is no guarantee he will see his normal workload. Despite the risk, Green is worth starting if he suits up.

  • Posted: 12/22/2016 9:34am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) said he believes he is healthy enough to play in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Green probably will see limited snaps if he is active for Week 16 because he has missed several games because of the injury. Green should still see some targets during the game, but owners should consider him as a No. 3 receiver.

  • Posted: 12/21/2016 3:13pm ET

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: Green has a decent chance to play in Week 16 if he does not suffer any setbacks. He probably would receive limited snaps if he is active in Week 16 and should be considered a risky No. 3 receiver in leagues.

  • Posted: 12/21/2016 8:54am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is taking part in practice Wednesday, Dec. 21.

Huddle Up: It's fair to consider Green a top-five player at the position, and the signs are good for him to play this weekend. However, he has been out for a month. Expectations should be tempered from his usual WR1 stature against the Houston Texans.

  • Posted: 12/19/2016 6:29am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is expected to play Saturday, Dec. 24, in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Green has missed a month of action and should be pretty close to full strength to take on the Houston Texans. He'll be a WR1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 12/17/2016 7:36am ET

Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) will not play in Week 15's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Cincinnati's tentative plan is for Green to return to action in Week 16 versus the Houston Texans. He had been listed as doubtful on the injury report despite participating in all three practice sessions during the week on a limited basis. WRs Tyler Boyd and Brandon LaFell are low-end flex options for deep seasonal leagues, while TE Tyler Eifert should see a decent number of targets inside the red zone.

  • Posted: 12/16/2016 8:27pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) will work out before the Week 15 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the team is not optimistic about his chances to play.

Huddle Up: With Green unlikely to play, Tyler Boyd will have some appeal as a flex option, and Tyler Eifert should be one of the top tight end plays.

  • Posted: 12/16/2016 1:32pm ET

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 16. He has been listed as doubtful for Week 15.

Huddle Up: Green probably needs another week of practice before he is ready to play, so Week 16 is a more realistic return date for Green. Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd will receive most of the work at receiver but should only be considered flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 12/15/2016 8:28am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is practicing again Thursday, Dec. 15.

Huddle Up: He did limited work yesterday, and he'll probably be limited again today. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been good against opposing WRs the last five weeks. Green will be a risky option if he suits up, and he can't be counted on as your first option.

  • Posted: 12/14/2016 1:46pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: Green appears to have a chance to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15 but may see limited snaps if he is active. Green will be a risky option for owners but can be a No. 3 receiver if he plays.

  • Posted: 12/12/2016 1:17pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is expected to practice Wednesday, Dec. 14, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Huddle Up: Green will be a risky start for the fantasy playoffs this week. His matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers is mediocre and he could be limited after missing multiple weeks with a hamstring tear. If Green practices fully, then it will be hard not to start him, however.

  • Posted: 12/9/2016 11:25am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) will not play in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: No surprise here. The good news is that Green has been working on the side with trainers for a little while, so there is some potential he could play next week if all goes well. Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd will continue to vie for Andy Dalton's attention behind Tyler Eifert and can be considered low-end WR3s.

  • Posted: 12/2/2016 8:20am ET

Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) said he suffered a Grade 2 hamstring tear, and he's working to get back this season. It may not be until Week 17.

Huddle Up: Recent reports offered some hope that he could return next week, but this report puts serious doubt on his availability for the fantasy playoffs. If you have the roster space, you have to stash him until something official occurs.

  • Posted: 12/1/2016 10:03am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is making expected progress in his recovery from his hamstring injury but will not be able to play in Week 13, according to sources. Green may have a chance to play in Week 14, in the opinion of ESPN's Bob Holtzman.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check on Green's practice participation next week to see if he has a chance to play in Week 14. Green could be limited when he returns but would still help owners during the playoffs.

  • Posted: 11/28/2016 12:47pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is unlikely to play in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but head coach Marvin Lewis use the term 'partly cloudy' when referring to his receiver's likely status.

Huddle Up: Beat writer Paul Dehner translated the comment as 'not happening,' which is exactly how fantasy owners should proceed. Tyler Eifert should see another heavy dose of targets, while rookie Tyler Boyd should be a serviceable WR3 in PPR leagues. Brandon LaFell should remain off the radar in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/25/2016 7:16pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd tied season highs with six catches on eight targets in Week 11, with all of his catches and targets coming after WR A.J. Green (hamstring) exited the game.

Huddle Up: Boyd should be one of the biggest beneficiaries of Green's injury. He is worth picking up in most formats, but he is a risky flex play in Week 12 against a solid Baltimore defense.

  • Posted: 11/21/2016 12:39pm ET

Updating previous stories, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) has only been ruled out Week 12 versus the Baltimore Ravens. Head coach Marvin Lewis would only confirm Green has a 'strained' hamstring Monday, Nov. 21, and believes the receiver will return this season.

Huddle Up: Monday's MRI must have revealed much better news than expected, since initial reports had the hamstring being torn and Green likely out for the season. This means owners need to hold on to Green until we receive a more definitive diagnosis, but even a slight tear figures to keep him out multiple weeks. Tyler Boyd figures to take over for Green while he is recovering, and the rookie is worthy of an add in deeper leagues while owners wait for more news on Green.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 1:55pm ET

Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) has a tear in his hamstring and will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Green probably will miss multiple weeks and could miss the rest of the 2016 season, so owners should keep an eye on a possible timetable. Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd should be more involved in the passing game but probably can be avoided in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 10:38am ET

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) will not be able to return to the team's Week 11 game because of a hamstring injury.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to look for an update on Green's status in the next day or two. Tyler Eifert, Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd would all receive extra targets if Green misses an extended period of time. Eifert is a No. 1 tight end in all leagues, while LaFell and Boyd could be flex option in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 11/20/2016 10:09am ET

Cincinnati Bengals TE A.J. Green (hamstring) was carted off the field after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 11. He is considered questionable to return.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see the severity of the injury. Green is one of the top receiver in the NFL and in fantasy leagues, so it would be a big blow if he misses multiple weeks.

  • Posted: 11/14/2016 8:08pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (leg) suffered an apparent lower leg injury in the second half of the Week 10 game against the New York Giants. He limped off for the sideline, was looked at by the training staff and then returned to the game. However, he was walking with a noticeable limp upon his return.

Huddle Up: Green appears as if he is going to tough it out despite his undisclosed lower leg injury which is good news for fantasy owners. We'll monitor the situation closely for you.

  • Posted: 10/30/2016 1:16pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green caught nine passes for 121 yards against the Washington Redskins in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Green has recorded four 100-yard games this season and has caught at least eight passes in four of his last six games. He is one of the top receivers in the NFL and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 2:20pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green caught eight passes for 169 yards and one touchdown against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.

Huddle Up: Green has caught at least six passes in four of the last five games and has two touchdowns and two 100-yard games during that span. He should be a weekly No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/16/2016 10:17pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (calf) posted six receptions for 88 yards in the Week 6 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted 10 times.

Huddle Up: Green made it through the game all right despite entering with a calf issue. He has found the end zone just once over the past five games, and he has only one 100-yard performance during the span. The absence of Tyler Eifert has really hurt the Cincinnati offense, and that might be why Green is not performing at his best. With another target for defenses to worry about, Green might be more free to do this thing. Eifert might be ready to return in Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/14/2016 3:44pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (calf) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 14, and is not on the injury report for Week 6.

Huddle Up: Green should receive plenty of targets this week against the New England Patriots and can be considered a No. 1 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/13/2016 8:38am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (calf) returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 13.

Huddle Up: Green has a tough draw against the New England Patriots this week, but he remains a top-flight WR1 option in fantasy.

  • Posted: 10/12/2016 4:08pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (calf) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Huddle Up: Green may be receiving a day off, so owners should check on his status in the next day or two. He should be considered a No. 1 wide receiver in all leagues if he is healthy.

  • Posted: 10/9/2016 9:57pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green posted four receptions for 50 yards on eight targets in the Week 5 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Huddle Up: Green took a big step backward after his big performance last time out against Miami. Despite some inconsistency this season, Green remains an obvious must-start fantasy option heading into Week 6.

  • Posted: 9/29/2016 8:32pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green finished with 10 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown in a 22-7 win over the Miami Dolphins Thursday, Sept. 29.

Huddle Up: It was the second time Green has topped 170 yards in four games this year, and he is a WR1 against just about any opponent.

  • Posted: 9/25/2016 2:57pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green had 77 yards on eight catches Sunday, Sept. 25, in a 29-17 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: Green remains QB Andy Dalton's top target, and he should return to the scoring column against a weaker opponent next week.

  • Posted: 9/21/2016 4:37pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: Green is expecting a baby in the near future, so he likely will not practice until the baby is delivered. Owners should keep an eye to make sure this does not affect Green's status for Week 3. He will be facing one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Denver Broncos but should still be a useful fantasy option.

  • Posted: 9/18/2016 10:16pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green managed two catches for just 38 yards in the Week 2 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was targeted eight times.

Huddle Up: Green normally performs well against the rival Steelers, but he laid a big egg for his fantasy owners in this one. Despite a tough matchup in Week 3 against the Broncos he remains a must-start across the board in all formats.

  • Posted: 9/14/2016 10:51pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green will meet the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2. Over his past four regular season games Green has 36 receptions for 556 yards and three scores against the Steelers, and he has been targeted a total of 54 times in the four games, with at least 13 targets in three of those outings.

Huddle Up: Green will have a giant stat line for fantasy owners in Week 2, as a game on the road in Pittsburgh isn't as daunting as it has been in the pass with a defense susceptible to big plays.

  • Posted: 8/28/2016 6:38pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (knee) limped off the field with a right knee injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday, Aug. 28, but the team is reporting the injury is not serious.

Huddle Up: The initial news is encouraging, and as long as the knee issue is indeed minor, Green is a reliable WR1 in all formats.

  • Posted: 8/25/2016 4:29pm ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green said there is 'no way' he is missing the birth of his first child, and he would miss a regular season game if it comes to that. His first child is due in about a month.

Huddle Up: That's a perfectly understandable reason to sit out a game, and at least he's giving his owners fair warning a month in advance. That projects to about Week 3, so owners who still have to draft should take that into account, as well as Cincinnati's bye week in Week 9. Nonetheless, Green is still a valid WR1 option and should continue to be treated as such.

  • Posted: 7/20/2016 12:54am ET

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green said his mind is at ease entering the 2016 season. 'I don't have to worry about contracts or anything like that,' Green said. 'I just go in there free, [with a] clear head, just go out there, work and have fun.'

Huddle Up: Green was a low-end WR1 a year ago, even though he only posted his third-best year (86-1,297-10) of his career. A full season with QB Andy Dalton throwing passes, could nudge Green back up a notch or three.
