Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray gained 10 yards on eight carries (1.3 YPC) in Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Murray added 37 yards in the passing game on five receptions.

Huddle Up: It was another night to forget for Murray in a season that has become increasingly full of them. After leading the AFC in rushing last year, Murray has topped 60 rushing yards in game just once in 2017, and that was all the way back in Week 3. He's done a little more work as a receiver recently -- and is coming off a three-touchdown game -- but his status as a No. 2 fantasy back should be viewed as tenuous.

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray will face the best defense against the running back position in fantasy over the last five weeks in the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Outside of last week's three touchdowns, Murray has struggled. He's averaging just 3.01 yards per carry over the last four games. During that stretch, the Steelers are yielding 9.8 fantasy points per game to running backs - as a whole. Murray is still an RB2 in fantasy, but if you're loaded at the position, it's not out of the question to consider someone else.

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (knee) will be limited during practice this week, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Murray probably will be able to play this week against Cincinnati Bengals, but owners should monitor the situation during the week. He struggled in Week 9 but can still be a No. 2 running back or a flex option in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/6/2017 11:26am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (knee) appears to be passed his shoulder and hamstring issues, but head coach Mike Mularkey told reporters the veteran running back is now dealing with a knee injury.

Huddle Up: It's been a season to forget health-wise for Murray, who never healed fully from a preseason hamstring issue and has been injuring body parts ever since. Mularkey also said if Murray if 'effective, we'll allow him to continue to play.' The fact of the matter is he hasn't been effective for most of the season and especially lately, averaging 3.3 yards per carry or less in three straight games. It appears the Titans have no plans to change anything, making Murray a low-end flex option in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 7:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray ran nine times for 19 yards and caught two passes for 22 yards in a 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.

Huddle Up: Murray exited with a knee injury but later returned, and he ended up logging one more carry than Derrick Henry. Big games and big plays have eluded Murray this year, but he usually receives enough touches to be used as a low-end RB2.

  • Posted: 11/5/2017 11:14am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (knee) suffered a knee injury in Week 9 but was able to return after missing a few plays.

Huddle Up: Murray may be limited during the rest of the game depending on his knee but probably will not miss much time. He should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back most weeks.

  • Posted: 10/23/2017 12:23pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (shoulder) is dealing with a bruised shoulder, according to head coach Mike Mularkey. A timetable for his return was not disclosed.

Huddle Up: The severity of the injury was not pinpointed, but Murray is no stranger to bumps and bruises. His practice status will need to be monitored closer than usual this week, but Murray and Derrick Henry will keep sharing carries either way. That is, as long as Murray is healthy enough to play.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 1:56pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray rushed 18 times for 59 yards in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns and he added three catches for 17 yards on four targets.

Huddle Up: Murray was a bit of a question mark coming in with a hamstring issue, but he powered through with Derrick Henry struggling with 1.0 yards per carry in this game. Murray will have two weeks to rest his bumps and bruises with a bye in Week 8.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 9:31am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is active for Week 7's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Murray has a very favorable matchup this afternoon versus the Browns. He will continue to split time in the backfield with RB Derrick Henry and should be viewed as a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2, with added value in PPR formats.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 6:53am ET

The Tennessee Titans are hopeful that RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) can play in Week 7's game against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Murray was listed as questionable on the injury report and was a limited practice participant Friday, Oct. 20, after missing the two earlier sessions during the week. Assuming he is active, he should be viewed as a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2 due to the favorable matchup.

  • Posted: 10/20/2017 2:41pm ET

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 20, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Murray may be a game-time decision this week, so owners will need to check the inactive list for his status. He will be a risky option because of the injury and could see a drop in his touches if he plays. Owners can consider him a No. 2 running back of a flex option if he is active.

  • Posted: 10/19/2017 6:08pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Khalfani Muhammad will likely be signed from the practice squad if RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is unable to play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7, head coach Mike Mularkey said Thursday, Oct. 19.

Huddle Up: The fact Mularkey has a backup plan in place is an indication that there is at least a chance Murray could miss the Week 7 contest. If he sits, Derrick Henry would become a solid RB2 option.

  • Posted: 10/19/2017 11:44am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) did not practice Thursday, Oct. 19.

Huddle Up: Don't read too much into Murray's absences yet. If he practices tomorrow then he's likely to play this weekend. Murray will continue to split time with Derrick Henry but remains a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 candidate with more value in PPR leagues.

  • Posted: 10/18/2017 2:16pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Huddle Up: Head coach Mike Mularkey said earlier in the week that Murray was dealing with soreness, but he said the back is expected to be fine for Week 7.

  • Posted: 10/17/2017 7:21pm ET

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey told reporters he liked the distribution of work in the backfield during the team's Week 6 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Derrick Henry rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, while Murray gained 40 yards on 12 carries. Mularkey also said Henry is beginning to establish himself as a big key in the fourth quarter of games. 'That?s probably been the case of late, when we go into a four-minute. Henry's probably a little fresher from not taking a lot of snaps. ? But I really like how it has played out with percentages and how these guys (get along). I mean, the first guy down to congratulate (Derrick) on his (72-yard) touchdown was DeMarco Murray,' Mularkey said.

Huddle Up: Despite the disparity in Week 6, Murray is still the lead back in this offense. It's also worth noting Henry was having a mediocre day (59 yards on his first 18 carries) before his dash to the end zone. With that said, Murray refuses to take a game or two off to let his hamstring heal, so Henry may continue to see more work moving forward until that changes. Murray is a back-end RB2 at best at this point, while Henry is a high-upside flex option.

  • Posted: 10/17/2017 2:47pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is dealing with hamstring tightness, but head coach Mike Mularkey believes Murray should be fine for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Murray seems to be ceding more carries to backfield mate Derrick Henry which has naturally caused his production to teeter off some. He has maintained a decent role in the passing game, however, and continues to be a quality RB2 in all formats.

  • Posted: 10/16/2017 9:01pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray churned out 40 yards on 12 carries and had a rushing touchdown in the team's Week 6 game Monday, Oct. 16, against the Indianapolis Colts. He also hauled in four receptions for 47 yards.

Huddle Up: It was a nice showing from Murray for his owners, but his usage is still a concern, as teammate Derrick Henry actually had seven more carries and more than triple the rushing yards as well. However, the former rushing champion is just too talented to keep on the bench, and he still generally gets enough work to warrant being started regularly in just about all leagues.

  • Posted: 10/8/2017 6:20pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray finished with 14 carries for 58 yards and four catches for 11 yards in a 16-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Murray has now been held below 60 rushing yards in four of the five games this season, and he has scored just once. The good news is that he still saw a majority of the carries, and he should be in the RB2 conversation against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.

  • Posted: 10/1/2017 2:28pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray ran seven times for 31 yards Sunday, Oct. 1, in a 57-14 loss to the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Two things stand out here. First, it's never good when you have less rushing yards than your quarterback. Second, with QB Marcus Mariota hampered by a hamstring injury, he may need to miss time. If that's the case Murray could be bottled up.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 7:03pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray finished with 14 carries for 115 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown run, in a 33-27 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3.

Huddle Up: Murray was questionable coming into the game with a hamstring injury, but he ended up having his best performance of the year. Derrick Henry also saw 13 carries, but if Murray doesn't have any setbacks this week, the carries could swing more in his favor moving forward. Consider him a RB2 against the Houston Texans in Week 4.

  • Posted: 9/24/2017 11:46am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Huddle Up: Murray probably will share snaps with Derrick Henry during the game and could see limited carries because of the injuries. Murray will be a risky option for owners because of the injury and the matchup.

  • Posted: 9/23/2017 10:14pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is 'more than likely' to play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, a source said Saturday, Sept. 23.

Huddle Up: Even if Murray suits up, there is a good chance he will see limited snaps, and the matchup with Seattle is far from ideal. If you have to start one of Tennessee's backs, Derrick Henry is the better play.

  • Posted: 9/22/2017 2:47pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis Friday, Sept. 22, and he is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Huddle Up: Murray was facing a tough matchup if he were at 100 percent, but it's especially difficult if he is a little banged up. Look for Derrick Henry to shoulder some of the lost against the Seahawks, and perhaps start if Murray is out or limited. The fantasy back of choice in Nashville this weekend appears to be Henry.

  • Posted: 9/22/2017 12:38pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry is expected to get a 'significant workload' in Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, regardless of whether DeMarco Murray plays or not, according to ESPN's Cameron Wolfe. Murray returned to practice as a limited participant Friday, Sept. 22, running routes and catching passes during individual drills. While Murray showed some instances of acceleration as a runner and receiver during the practice, it was far from what he would be expected to do in game action, according to Wolfe.

Huddle Up: The Titans are handling this situation correctly, as there is no reason to push Murray through a hamstring injury, although having a talent like Henry on the roster makes it an easier decision. Henry is quite the luxury to fall back on when the reigning AFC rushing champion is not 100 percent and should be plugged into lineups as a RB2 despite the tough matchup.

  • Posted: 9/22/2017 10:05am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) was able to practice Friday, Sept. 22, after not participating the previous two days. He will be listed as questionable on the Week 3 injury report, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: For the most part, Murray has not looked himself this season after leading the AFC in rushing last year. Owners who have some depth at running back should consider sitting Murray until he is able to produce something of note. That is unlikely to come this week against the Seattle Seahawks. At least for this week, Derrick Henry figures to lead the backfield in touches and figures to be the superior player.

  • Posted: 9/21/2017 3:15pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 21.

Huddle Up: The Titans may consider keeping Murray out for at least one game so he can rest his injured hamstring, so owners should look for an update later in the week. Derrick Henry would receive a majority of the carries if Murray is ruled out and could be a starter for fantasy owners even though he will be facing a solid Seattle Seahawks defense.

  • Posted: 9/20/2017 4:18pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Murray's status for Week 3 is uncertain at this point and could sit out since hamstring injuries can linger. Owners should know more about the situation later in the week. Murray could be limited if he does play this week and may not be the best option for owners. Derrick Henry would receive a majority of the work if Murray sits out and would be a decent No. 2 running back or flex option.

  • Posted: 9/18/2017 4:36pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is considered day-to-day because of his hamstring injury, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Murray probably will be limited at practice for most of the week, so owners will need to check on his status later in the week. He is a solid fantasy option when he is healthy, but owners may want to consider other starting options in case Murray is ruled out for Week 3.

  • Posted: 9/18/2017 6:22am ET

Updating previous reports, Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) sat out of the second half in Week 2 due to tightness in his hamstring. It's the same injury that bothered him in the preseason.

Huddle Up: Derrick Henry has been pushing Murray all along, and it may be time for Murray to sit and heal. If Murray sits, Henry will be an RB2 option against the Seattle Seahawks. If Murray goes, he's demoted to the flex area due to the injury risk, and Henry would be an RB3 as well.

  • Posted: 9/17/2017 5:30pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray ran nine times for just 25 yards in Week 2 on the road against the Jaguars and he added one catch for three yards on two targets.

Huddle Up: Murray spent most of the second half on the sidelines, apparently uninjured, serving as a spectator in the lopsided victory. Fantasy owners will be happy that Murray was uninjured, but it's unnerving seeing Derrick Henry running up and down the field with Murray looking on. We'll get a better idea of the tailback distribution in Week 3 against the Seahawks.

  • Posted: 9/16/2017 6:26pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray's 12 carries in Week 1 were tied for his second fewest since joining the Titans, and head coach Mike Mularkey said he would have liked to see more runs. 'I think we need to run it more if we can,' Mularkey said.

Huddle Up: Tennessee wants to be a run-first offense, but Murray will have his work cut out for him against a solid Jacksonville defense in Week 2. He should still be in your starting lineup, but consider him a RB2 this week.

  • Posted: 9/10/2017 2:37pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray rushed for 44 yards on 12 carries against the Oakland Raiders in Week 1.

Huddle Up: Murray only received 12 carries during the game but should see more touches in the upcoming weeks. He will be facing a solid Jacksonville Jaguars defense in Week 2 but could still be a No. 2 fantasy back.

  • Posted: 8/25/2017 10:35am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) has been practicing with the team since Aug. 14, but his status for the team's third preseason game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Aug. 27, is up in the air as head coach Mike Mularkey has yet to commit to playing him, according to ESPN.com's Cameron Wolfe.

Huddle Up: The Tennessean reported Thursday that Murray may get limited snaps, but the 29-year-old told the paper then 'if the game was today, I'd be playing.' Thus, owners can probably assume he'll be ready for a full workload in Week 1 versus the Oakland Raiders. Mularkey has stated multiple times this offseason Murray will remain his workhorse, so he is safe to draft as a RB1 at the end of the first round or the beginning of the second in the majority of fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/23/2017 6:18pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is expected to play in the preseason game against the Chicago Bears Sunday, Aug. 27, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Murray probably will play the first half of the preseason game if he does not suffer a setback in the next few days. He should receive most of the work at running back this season for the Titans and should be at least a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/19/2017 11:06am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) will not play in the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers Saturday, Aug. 19, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Murray is coming back from a hamstring injury, so the team is probably being cautious with him. He will receive a majority of the carries this season and can be a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 running back in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/17/2017 5:10pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is expected to play in the preseason game against the Carolina Panthers Saturday, Aug. 19.

Huddle Up: Murray probably will play around of a quarter during the game but could play less because of his injury. He should be ready for Week 1 and will receive most of the carries this season. He will be a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 running back in all fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/14/2017 7:13pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) participated in practice Monday, Aug. 14, and did more than expected.

Huddle Up: Murray is on track to be a full participant in practice in the near future and should be fine for the start of the regular season. He will receive most of the carries this season and should be a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 running back.

  • Posted: 8/13/2017 6:32pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) will return to practice this week and 'do more than he did last week,' head coach Mike Mularkey said Sunday, Aug. 13.

Huddle Up: Derrick Henry is pushing for more playing time, but Murray is still top dog in Tennessee and a low-end RB1. That being said, spending a mid-round pick to add Henry as a handcuff would be wise.

  • Posted: 8/10/2017 9:21am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is expected to return to practice Monday, Aug. 14.

Huddle Up: There is a lot of hype surrounding Derrick Henry this preseason, but Murray still performed at an RB1 level last season. You might be able to get him at a discount in your draft, and he's still a low-end RB1 find.

  • Posted: 8/8/2017 3:51pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) will not play in the Titans' first preseason game this week, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Not a big surprise here. The Titans want Murray at his best when the regular season starts. The veteran running back will split time with up-and-coming Derrick Henry, but that didn't keep Murray from RB1 status last season. Assuming he's full go, Murray is worth a look as a low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 in all formats.

  • Posted: 8/7/2017 4:43pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is participating in practice Monday, Aug. 7.

Huddle Up: Murray missed a few practices because of the injury but is back on the field even if he is limited Monday. Murray will continue to receive a majority of the carries for the Titans this season and can be considered a low-end No. 1 fantasy running back.

  • Posted: 8/4/2017 5:29pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is not participating in practice Friday, Aug. 4.

Huddle Up: The Titans likely will take things slow with Murray and make sure he will be 100 percent before practicing again. Murray is coming off a very successful 2016 season and will receive most of the carries again this season. He should be considered a low-end No. 1 or a No. 2 running back in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/3/2017 10:43am ET

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is considered day-to-day after injuring his hamstring at training camp, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Murray's injury isn't serious, but one can't help but question the effects of the wear and tear he's endured over the years. Assuming he's good to go for the regular season, Murray is a viable low-end RB1 to high-end RB2 with a value uptick in PPR formats. Even so, Derrick Henry remains one of the most coveted 'handcuffs' heading into 2017.

  • Posted: 8/3/2017 9:48am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) is out of practice Thursday, Aug. 3.

Huddle Up: Murray is a low-end RB1, but there are reports that Derrick Henry is pushing him and ascending in his own right. Keep tabs on him and this situation in general.

  • Posted: 7/29/2017 9:45pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray said he prides himself on taking care of his body, and he is hoping for an even bigger role in the offense this year.

Huddle Up: Derrick Henry is waiting in the wings and Tennessee added weapons for Marcus Mariota in the draft, but Murray should still be the centerpiece of the offense for at least one more year and a RB1 in all formats.

  • Posted: 6/11/2017 5:38pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (finger) is expected to have his cast removed Monday, June 12.

Huddle Up: Age isn't on Murray's side, but he should deliver at least one more year of RB1 production as the lead back in Tennessee's run-heavy offense. However, it is a good idea to handcuff him with Derrick Henry.

  • Posted: 6/9/2017 4:02pm ET

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (finger) said he recently had surgery to repair a lingering issue in with his right ring finger. Murray will miss the rest of offseason workouts but said he would be able to play if there were a game.

Huddle Up: Murray should continue to receive most of the carries this upcoming season and is coming off a solid 2016 where he posted 1,287 yards and nine touchdowns. He should be considered a solid No. 1 running back in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 6/8/2017 11:04am ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray (hand) was sporting a cast on his hand Thursday, June 8, after undergoing a procedure, but head coach Mike Mularkey expects Murray to be good to go by training camp.

Huddle Up: It doesn't sound like anything serious, but pay attention to Murray's status as the offseason progresses and training camp starts. If he is indeed full go by then, he'll remain in the RB1 conversation. That being said, Derrick Henry is chomping at the bit for when Murray goes down or aggravates the hand injury. Handcuffing Henry with Murray is advisable.

  • Posted: 6/1/2017 6:49pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has looked great in OTAs, according to head coach Mike Mularkey, and offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie said he will find a way to use both Henry and RB DeMarco Murray.

Huddle Up: After such a strong 2016 campaign, Murray looks like a safe bet to lead the backfield again this season. Draft him as a RB1, but make sure to grab Henry as a handcuff.

  • Posted: 5/28/2017 6:14pm ET

Tennessee Titans RB DeMarco Murray looked good during OTAs and showed no signs of the toe injury that hampered him at the end of last season, according to Jim Wyatt of TitansOnline.com.

Huddle Up: Murray was the workhorse of Tennessee's run-heavy offense last year, and he should have at least one more year of RB1 production left in him.
