Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver, who isn't expected to return to the team next year, wants to continue playing football until he's 40 years old. 'I think I'm just going to see what's out there for me and if teams call and want me to come then I've got to make that decision,' Driver said. 'If not, if the Packers want me back, then I'll come back. So at this point it may not work here, but it may work somewhere else.'

Huddle Up: Driver has had a fine career for a seventh-round pick, but he'll turn 38 the day before the Super Bowl, and it's hard to see him having an impact anywhere coming off an 8-catch, 77-yard, 2-TD season.

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver said Wednesday, Dec. 5, that he has a broken thumb, but he plans to play through it. "I can't do anything about it. One thing about it is it's not the worst that I've hard," Driver said.

Huddle Up: Driver may see an uptick in snaps with Jordy Nelson nicked and Greg Jennings still working his way back from injury, but with so many other options in the Green Bay arsenal he can't be trusted with a fantasy start.

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver (neck) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is probable for the teams Week 8 game.

Huddle Up: This would not normally be big news, but Driver is fantasy-relevant once more this week with injuries to Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings. We still do not know if Nelson will be able to play or not, but Driver figures to have a prominent role if he cannot. Keep an eye on Nelson's status on Sunday; Driver could be a fantastic flex play if Nelson can't go.

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver said he is puzzled with his limited role in Week 1. Driver said playing only the last three plays in the game was difficult to stomach. "Played in this league a long time and not to play is tough," Driver said. "No one expects it to happen, but if it happens you deal with it. I'm dealing with it in a good way." Driver could have an increased role in Week 2 if WR Greg Jennings is limited.

Huddle Up: Driver is veteran insurance for a team with Super Bowl aspirations; with Jennings iffy for this week, the Packers don't have to look too hard for an experienced, capable receiver familiar with their system. With Randall Cobb working out of the backfield there may very well be room for all the receivers on Green Bay's roster in this week's stat sheet.

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver was on the sidelines for all but the final three offensive plays in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers. The only reason he got onto the field was because WR Greg Jennings called for a replacement. Driver was still positive afterwards. "That's the whole thing. I'm disappointed we lost the game," Driver said. "I'm fine with everything else."

Huddle Up: Driver has a Super Bowl ring and a Dancing With The Stars trophy, so at this point in his career he seems willing to accept a reduced role in the Green Bay offense. He wasn't considered to be a fantasy factor entering the season, and now with James Jones and Randall Cobb taking the bulk of the secondary receiver targets it looks as if Driver is outright droppable.

Posted: 8/8/2012 12:20pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver has been having a strong camp, and he still appears capable of helping the team's high-powered offense. He has plenty of confidence, too. "I think a lot of people are surprised how I've played at 37 years old," Driver said. "But if you haven't lost it, you haven't lost it. And I haven't lost anything." Driver checked in at 194 pounds with body fat under four percent.

Huddle Up: The fantasy community has championed second-year wideout Randall Cobb for the third receiver gig in Green Bay but right now it looks as if Driver will remain in the mix, siphoning fantasy points from both.

Posted: 7/2/2012 7:19pm et

Green Bay Packers WRs James Jones, Randall Cobb and Donald Driver are candidates to become the No. 3 wide receiver during training camp.

Huddle Up: There's obvious fantasy value to being the third receiver in a high-powered offense like Green Bay's, but you also run the risk of two or all three of the aforementioned players taking turns in the spot and splitting the stats. Cobb has the most upside, as he'll be the Packers' primary return man and has a bright future in Green Bay; Driver is the veteran presence, and Jones is... well, still hanging around. They're not bad players to throw darts at as your fourth or fifth fantasy guy, but only Cobb has real upside.

Posted: 6/30/2012 3:55pm et

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver could be on the roster bubble during training camp because the team may want to give WRs Randall Cobb, Tori Gurley and Diondre Borel more playing time this season.

Huddle Up: The Packers have an embarrassment of riches at wide receiver, and they'll get good use out of the ones they keep around. Driver is a veteran presence who still has some game left, but the Packers may need to clear room for the younger guys to play. Either way, the receiver production after Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson will be split amongst so many players that they'll be hard-pressed to see enough opportunity to become a fantasy factor.

Posted: 5/31/2012 9:33am et

Green Bay Packers WR Donald Driver agreed to restructure his contract and will receive a total of $2.5 million for the 2012 season, including $500,000 up front.

Huddle Up: Driver's not worth a fantasy draft pick in standard leagues but his presence always helps stabilize Aaron Rodgers' value. If Driver can somehow scratch out another 512 receiving yards at age 37 he'll pass Keyshawn Johnson for 30th all-time at 10,572.

Posted: 5/22/2012 10:11am et

The Green Bay Packers are not ruling out the possibility of keeping WR Donald Driver on the roster but it may have to include a pay cut for it to happen. However, they may decide to let Driver go if they feel WR Tori Gurley deserves more playing time this season. Gurley has performed well during workouts this offseason.

Huddle Up: Aaron Rodgers can get ol' Twinkletoes a double-check discount at State Farm, and he'd appreciate Driver's veteran savvy (not to mention his samba). But with youngsters like Gurley and Randall Cobb pushing for playing time, Driver's role is bound to be reduced.
