The Associated Press reports New York Jets RB Thomas Jones rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries in the team's Week 15 game. He set a franchise record, scoring a touchdown in eight straight games.
The Huddle Take: Jones is another running back that has had a resurgence in 2008 and has made for a nice complement to the playmaking talents of veteran quarterback Brett Favre. Jones remains a must-start fantasy running back in Week 16 as the Jets face a struggling Seattle defensive unit.

The Associated Press reports New York Jets RB Thomas Jones had 26 carries for 149 yards with three touchdowns during the team's Week 10 game.
The Huddle Take: Increadible performance from Jones he most likely single-handedly carried alot of fantasy teams to victory this week. With Brett Favre consistently putting up nice numbers in the passing game, opposing defenses can't focus on Thomas Jones like they have in past seasons. He is a high-end No. 2 running back and faces a soft schedule for the stretch run this year.

The Associated Press reports New York Jets RB Thomas Jones rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries in the team's Week 6 game. He also caught three passes for 13 yards and one touchdown in the game.
The Huddle Take: This was the best performance of the year to date for Thomas Jones as he was involved in every phase of the Jet offense. He has had his problems this year with posting consistent numbers for fantasy teams but keep in mind he has already had his bye week and faces Oakland, Kansas City and Buffalo the next three games which certainly gives him some opportunities to develop consistency going forward.

The Associated Press reports New York Jets RB Thomas Jones rushed for 101 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries Week 1. His touchdown matched his total for the entire 2007 season.
The Huddle Take: Jones is another starting back that dropped quite a bit in drafts this season. While he may not have this success every week, there is no reason to think he won't do it more often than not with Favre at QB. Consider yourself to have a solid number 2 back if you drafted him.
Posted: 8/27/2008 1:53pm et
The New York Post reports the New York Jets running game is averaging just 2.7 yards per carry in the preseason. RB Thomas Jones has averaged just 2.4 yards per carry.
The Huddle Take: Despite the poor numbers there is very little to be concerned about with the New York running game at this point since Jones should excel with Brett Favre leading the offense. In preseason both Jones and Favre have been on the field together just a limited amount of time, so when the regular season gets going both should complement each other well. Fantasy owners should consider Thomas Jones as a solid No. 2 running back with nice upside this year despite his dismal production last season behind a much worse offensive line. Jones had a tremendous season with the Bears prior to coming to New York two seasons ago and that was with Rex Grossman as his quarterback. Just think of what could be with a future Hall of Famer calling the shots.

The Star-Ledger reports New York Jets QB Brett Favre defended RB Thomas Jones against critics who proclaim Jones has lost a step. Jones has rushed for just 29 yards on 12 carries this preseason. 'I'm not concerned about Thomas Jones and our running game,' Favre said. 'I've seen Thomas Jones run against us in Green Bay (for three seasons) and he's a heck of a running back. He's a loadDoes he have breakaway speed? I don't know. I've never had to catch him. But I wouldn't want to tackle him.'
The Huddle Take: These good words aside, Jones has been quietly moving up in many drafts since the signing of Favre. Don't know for sure, but probably goes to that saying that great players make those around them better. In this case, having Favre in his corner sure can't hurt the projections for Jones.
