The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington was 25-for-38 for 252 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions during the teams Wild Card game Sunday, Jan. 4.
The Huddle Take: Chad had one of his worst outings in quite some time today, but any quarterback facing the Ravens D right now is going to find the going tough. The Ravens are on a mission and have all the tools to get it done, but they're going to ride their defense to any success they have. Chad still is a mid tier option regardless of how much he improved in Miami this year.

The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington went 22-for-30 for 200 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 17 game.
The Huddle Take: Pennington continues to play with conviction this season and should likely be considered in the mix for the league MVP award after leading the Miami Dolphins to an 11-5 season just one year after going 1-15. He should be a nice quarterback option for fantasy teams in 2009 especially if the Dolphins continue to build a championship caliber team under Bill Parcells.

The Associated Press reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington was 12-for-19 for 156 yards with two touchdown passes during the team's Week 15 game.
The Huddle Take: Pennington just continues to win and lead the Dolphins in their chase for the AFC East crown. With Miami now 9-5 and in a tie with the N.Y. Jets and New England Patriots, Pennington provides Miami with veteran leadership it has been missing for the last few seasons. If the Dolphins continue to protect Pennington there is no telling how far this team could go in the playoffs. Fantasy owners should expect another good game from Pennington in Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

MiamiDolphins.com reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington went 24-for-41 for a career-high 341 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the team's Week 12 game.
The Huddle Take: Pennington was on his game in Week 12 against the Patriots despite losing
41-28. The former Jet quarterback has been on his game this season and has provided the Dolphins with the veteran leadership that they have needed to rebound from a dismal 1-15 season from a year ago.

The South Florida SunSentinel reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington (foot) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 19. He is expected to play in the team's Week 12 game.
The Huddle Take: What Pennington and the Dolphins have done in 2008 is nothing short of remarkable on the heels of a dismal 1-15 season just a year ago. Pennington has given Miami veteran leadership to build their young team around this season and there is no reason to think he can't get them in the playoffs. The only thing that has slowed Pennington down has been a foot injury but even that is not expected to keep him off the field in Week 12. He remains a solid No. 2 quarterback with a nice schedule during the remainder of the season.

The South Florida SunSentinel reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington (foot) played in Week 11 and was seen walking with a slight limp Monday, Nov. 17.
The Huddle Take: Just about everybody in the NFL is walking around with a limp this time of season. It doesn't sound like Pennington will be in any danger of missing this week's game with New England.

MiamiDolphins.com reports Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington took 33 snaps during the team's morning practice Tuesday, Aug. 12. He went 5-for-9 with a touchdown pass during practice.
The Huddle Take: There is no question that the Dolphins have Pennington on the fast track to be the opening day starter for Miami. With only rookie Chad Henne showing signs of promise during camp before the arrival of Pennington, look for the Dolphins to possibly cut both Josh McCown and Jon Beck if their play does not improve before long. Pennington should be considered as a No. 2 quarterback for fantasy leagues and is worthy of using during certain matchups and bye weeks at the present time.
Posted: 8/8/2008 9:56pm et
FOXSports.com reports the Miami Dolphins have reached a two-year deal with free-agent QB Chad Pennington (Jets). Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Huddle Take: The Brett Favre deal has been far reaching and has enabled the Dolphins to give themselves a better option for this season with the addition of Chad Pennington. The former N.Y. Jet starter is a definite upgrade over McCown, Beck and Henne at this point but does not appear to be a long term solution for the team. Miami will most likely use Pennington until Chad Henne or Jon Beck develop to the point that they can lead this team into the future. Pennington should be considered a decent No. 2 QB worthy of playing during bye weeks or in certain matchups for fantasy teams. It will also be interesting to see what happens in Week 1 when Brett Favre leads the N.Y. Jets against Miami and Chad Pennington. Stay tuned for that one.
Posted: 8/7/2008 4:29pm et
New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum announced Thursday, Aug. 7, that the team released QB Chad Pennington.
The Huddle Take: It's a good bet Pennington will land in Miami, where he should be supported by a good running game that could open up the passing attack. But he's still no better than a No. 3 Fantasy quarterback, and will likely go undrafted in many leagues.
Posted: 8/6/2008 2:41pm et
ESPN.com reports the New York Jets are disappointed QB Chad Pennington and QB Kellen Clemens have not stepped up in training camp to claim the starting quarterback job.
The Huddle Take: Hence the rumors flying around about Brett Favre possibly joining the N.Y. Jets as their starter. If the Jets can win the Favre sweepstakes then there is little question that he could help New York challenge the New England Patriots for supremacy in the AFC East this season.
