Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (groin) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 12. He has been ruled out of the team's Week 15 game.
The Huddle Take: Reggie Williams stands to get more playing time in Porter's absence.

The Associated Press reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (groin) suffered a groin injury in the fourth quarter of the team's Week 14 game.
The Huddle Take: His low production this year hasn't had him on many rosters, but just in case he's on yours this is worth noting.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 26. He is listed as probable for the team's Week 4 game and is expected to play, but head coach Jack Del Rio said he will be a game-time decision.
The Huddle Take: Porter had a full week of practice but the Jags continue to be very cautious with his return to action. There's a better than 50-50 chance he'll get on the field for the first time this season on Sunday, but we won't know until right before kickoff.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) practiced in full Thursday, Sept. 25, and he looks to be OK.
The Huddle Take: It looks like Porter will finally make an appearance in Week 4 when the Jags battle the Houston Texans. If the veteran receiver is still residing on your waiver wire and you are looking for some receiver depth then he could be a nice addition. The main thing to remember here is that he is not very durable and could go down again at any time.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) is making progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury. While he may be able to return to action during Week 4, he is likely going to still be limited during practice.
The Huddle Take: The team needs he and/or Dennis Northcutt to get healthy and step up. The news keeps being pushed out that they are 'making progress' but it isn't translating to help on the field.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 19. He is listed as questionable for Week 3 and is not expected to play in the game.
The Huddle Take: The Jaguars have been without Porter for their first two games and nothing appears ready to change this week. He has been a disappointment so far for the Jags and fantasy owners this year. Porter should still be considered as no better than a No. 4 receiver even when he returns with all the offensive line problems which will keep QB Garrard from getting him the ball consistently.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) participated in practice Friday, Sept. 12. He is listed as questionable for Week 2 and may be held out of the game.
The Huddle Take: With Reggie Williams and Matt Jones currently seeing action in the starting lineup for Jacksonville, there appears to be no rush in working Porter back into action before he is ready. If you are a fantasy owner of Porter it would be adviseable to let him play for a week before starting him since he will likely be rusty missing most of the preseason.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 10.
The Huddle Take: Porter is a much needed player for the Jaguars team and could return to the field this weekend barring any setbacks to his hamstring injury. He should be considered a No. 3 receiver with upside and should start opposite Reggie Williams to give the Jaguars a one-two punch that could post some increased production over what Jacksonville was able to do last week.
Posted: 9/10/2008 12:02am et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) likely will resume practicing this week.
The Huddle Take: Doesn't mean he'll play for sure, but at least there is a chance. He's evidently close to coming back.
Posted: 9/4/2008 8:44pm et
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Jerry Porter (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Sept. 4.
The Huddle Take: Porter has missed too much time and is too questionable to count on for the first few games. He was drafted later on in most drafts, so likely isn't being targeted as a starter most weeks, but there still is a lot of upside, just not for a few weeks.
