San Francisco 49ers LB Clark Haggans was suspended three games Tuesday, Sept. 18, without pay in connection to a 2011 driving under the influence charge.
Huddle Up: While Haggans, a 13-year vet, hasn't played in either of the 49ers' first 2 games, he provides valuable depth and in fact was the only other OLB on the team's active roster behind starters Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks. Expect the Niners to call up a practice-squad player to fill in while Haggans serves his suspension.

Updating a previous report, the San Francisco 49ers finalized a deal with LB Clark
Haggans (Cardinals) Sunday, Sept. 2, according to a source. There is no word yet
on the corresponding roster move.
Huddle Up: Haggans, 35, is nearing the end of the line after only recording 3 sacks and 46
tackles in 16 games last season with the Cardinals, but his signing adds more
depth to what many believe is the league's top linebacking corps.
