Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) didn't participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Huddle Up: The veteran was simply just getting a day off in order to manage his reps. He'll be out there come Sunday, but at this point in time, it's under the status of a WR3 with inconsistent freshman Josh Rosen throwing him the football.

  • Posted: 11/10/2018 7:36pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald faces the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10, and the Chiefs have allowed the most receiving yards in the NFL this season.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald is building some momentum with Josh Rosen, scoring in back-to-back games and topping 100 yards the last time out. The Cardinals will likely be playing from behind against Kansas City, which should at least make Fitzgerald a volume-based WR3.

  • Posted: 11/9/2018 1:12pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 9, and is not on the injury report for Week 10.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald is coming off a terrific Week 8 performance and appears to be building chemistry with Josh Rosen. He has a chance to be productive against the Kansas City Chiefs this week and could be a flex option for owners.

  • Posted: 11/8/2018 2:22pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 8.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald is coming off his best game of the season in Week 9 and is on a two-game touchdown streak. He has a chance to have another solid game this week and can be a No. 3 receiver or flex option.

  • Posted: 11/8/2018 10:32am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 8, after receiving a veteran's rest day the previous day.

Huddle Up: The season has been a struggle for the 35-year-old Fitzgerald and the Arizona offense. But the veteran wideout did hit season highs in targets (10), receptions (8) and yards (102) in Week 8 in the first game under new offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, so don't be hesitant to roll out Fitz as a flex/low-end WR2 this week -- especially in a favorable matchup against the Chiefs.

  • Posted: 11/7/2018 2:16pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (rest) took the day off from practice Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Huddle Up: Byron Leftwitch taking over as offensive coordinator has seemingly breathed new life into Fitz. In his first game with Leftwitch as OC, Fitzgerald amassed a season-high eight catches and 102 yards, scoring once. Arizona figures to be playing catchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, making him a WR2 candidate.

  • Posted: 10/28/2018 7:28pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught eight of his 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in an 18-15 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald set season highs in catches and targets while logging his first 100-yard effort. It's a small sample size, but Fitzgerald looked like his old self in Byron Leftwich's first game as the offensive coordinator. His fantasy owners can only help it is a sign of things to come.

  • Posted: 10/26/2018 1:46pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has been targeted 16 times over the last two weeks but only has recorded 79 yards in those games. He still does not have great chemistry with Josh Rosen and could be benched this week if better options are available.

  • Posted: 10/25/2018 6:20pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald isn't 'dead yet,' according to offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, and Leftwich said Fitzgerald has to have the ball more often.

Huddle Up: The Cardinals have struggled overall, and Fitzgerald is one of the many victims. A concentrated effort to give him the ball can't hurt the situation, but he's no more than a WR4 at this point.

  • Posted: 10/25/2018 4:54pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 25, and was a full participant.

Huddle Up: As expected, the veteran wide-out is on track to play in Week 8, but he won't come with the most encouraging forecast. Arizona's offense has been inconsistent with rookie Josh Rosen under center, and thus, Fitzgerald is just an uninspiring WR3 right now.

  • Posted: 10/24/2018 4:09pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Huddle Up: The Cardinals have been limiting Fitzgerald's reps, so it's not a surprise to see him sidelined for at least one practice in any given week. Owners should still be checking in, though, to make sure the veteran will ultimately be fine for Week 8. He still carries WR3 value.

  • Posted: 10/18/2018 9:58pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald was targeted eight times, catching four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown during the the team's Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: It took seven games, but the future Hall of Famer finally scored a TD. Although it's a step in the right direction for the veteran, whose eight targets were tied for the team lead, it's still difficult to advocate putting Fitzgerald in your starting lineup unless you're really up against it.

  • Posted: 10/17/2018 12:50pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back) was full go in practice Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments of the 2018 season. We need to wait until he starts performing consistently until we plug him into starting lineups on a weekly basis. As for this week, start him as a flex if you're desperate.

  • Posted: 10/16/2018 2:11pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back) was limited in practice Tuesday, Oct. 16.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments of 2018. He has yet to eclipse 80 yards, but he was targeted eight times in Week 6. Opportunities should be there versus a susceptible Denver Broncos defense. It may not be a comfortable exercise, but starting him as a flex is OK.

  • Posted: 10/15/2018 6:26pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back) was listed as a limited participant in practice Monday, Oct. 15.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has posted 22 receptions for 215 yards with no touchdowns on 35 targets through six games. He has powered down to WR4 status in most fantasy leagues, and age (35) combined with shaky quarterback play has contributed to his demise. He had five grabs for 39 yards in Week 6 against the Vikings, his best line since Week 1, so that tells you a little about how things are going for the future Hall of Famer.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 2:47pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught five passes for 39 yards against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald continues to post disappointing numbers and has been held to under 40 yards in each of the last five games. He still has some value in point-per-reception leagues but is no longer a must-start option like he was in previous seasons.

  • Posted: 10/11/2018 1:57pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back, hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 11.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald continues to post disappointing numbers and probably will be playing against Xavier Rhodes for most of the Week 6 game. Owners can consider benching Fitzgerald this week depending on who they have available.

  • Posted: 10/10/2018 2:10pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring, back) was held out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 10.

Huddle Up: It's been a season to forget for Fitzgerald so far. He has hardly made an impact and has yet to develop much of a rapport with rookie quarterback Josh Rosen. Even if he plays, he can't be viewed as more than a risky flex, even in PPR leagues.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 9:05pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) caught two of his three targets for 35 yards in a 28-18 win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5.

Huddle Up: Between his lingering hamstring issue and Arizona's struggles on offense, Fitzgerald's production has fallen off a cliff. If you have decent options on your bench, you may want to sit Fitzgerald for now.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 12:13pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back, hamstring) is officially active for the Week 5 game.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has posted disappointing numbers over the last three weeks and will need to build chemistry with Josh Rosen. He could be a low-end No. 3 receiver or a flex options in some leagues but could also be benched if owners have better options.

  • Posted: 10/6/2018 8:45pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring, back) will play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Between the lingering injuries and poor quarterback play, Fitzgerald is off to a rough start. San Francisco presents a friendly matchup, but he's no more than a WR3 right now.

  • Posted: 10/5/2018 1:48pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back, hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 5, and is listed as questionable for Week 5.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald likely will be able to play this week, but owners will need to check the inactive list to make sure. He has struggled during the early part of the season but hopefully will have better chemistry with Josh Rosen. He could be a low-end No. 3 or flex option for owners but is not a must-start option this week.

  • Posted: 10/4/2018 4:07pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back, hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 4.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has a good chance to play in Week 5 but has struggled over the last few games. He is trying to build chemistry with Josh Rosen, so his numbers may not pick up in the near future. He could be a flex option at this time but is not a must-start option.

  • Posted: 10/3/2018 4:04pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (back, hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald may miss a few days of practice but likely will be ready to play in Week 5. He has struggled over the last three games with under 30 yards in each of the games. He is a risky option for owners because of his recent play but could be a No. 3 receiver or flex option this week.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 8:11pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught three of his seven targets for 28 yards in a 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has barely been involved since the opener, and a hamstring injury and lackluster quarterback play are crushing his fantasy value. More time to develop chemistry with Josh Rosen should help matters, but Fitzgerald can be downgraded to a WR3 candidate.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 11:51am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) is officially active for the team's Week 4 game.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald will be working with a new quarterback this week but hopefully he will be more involved in the passing game. He can be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 6:27am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 4's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald was listed as questionable on the injury report and had been a limited participant in the team's two most recent practice sessions. He should be viewed as a WR3 due to Arizona's less-than-ideal quarterback situation.

  • Posted: 9/28/2018 3:29pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 28, and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald is coming off back-to-back disappointing performances and will be working with Josh Rosen this week. Owners could consider him a flex option, but he could also be benched if there are better options available.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 4:17pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) returned to practice and was a limited participant on Thursday, Sept. 27.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald should be fine for the club's Week 4 tilt opposite the Seahawks, but owners should be aware that his ceiling is now considerably lower compared to past seasons. He's more of a WR3 at this point due to Arizona's quarterback situation.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 5:23pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Huddle Up: It's still likely that Fitzgerald will be out there on Sunday, but his status as a bonafide WR2 has taken a notable hit given the club's offensive woes. Additionally, rookie Josh Rosen is starting under center now. He might be someone to sell as soon as possible -- if possible -- while he still holds value.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 11:26pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught both of his targets for nine yards in Week 3 versus the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: It's going to be easy for owners to blame the hamstring injury that limited him in practice all week for this performance, but Fitzgerald didn't appear to be very involved in the game plan. How Arizona has managed to render ineffective one of the best receivers of all-time when he has virtually no competition for targets is one of this season's great mysteries. Perhaps Josh Rosen's likely promotion will help, but Fitzgerald has already fallen into fantasy WR3 territory entering Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 12:12pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) is officially active for the team's Week 3 game.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald has posted 10 receptions and 104 yards during the first two games and is still the main option in the team's passing game. He can be considered a No. 3 fantasy receiver despite his hamstring injury.

  • Posted: 9/22/2018 11:17pm ET

Updating previous reports, Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) will play in Week 3 versus the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald makes for a risky play given the nature of his injury and the Cardinals' anemic offensive attack thus far, but he's about the only somewhat reliable weapon Arizona has in the passing game. It's not a given he'll be able to benefit from negative game script, but he should be able to post WR2 type production if he can make it through the game.

  • Posted: 9/21/2018 1:38pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) was limited in practice again on Friday, Sept. 21 and he is listed as questionable for Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald left the Week 2 game against the Rams and didn't put up very good stats, and now he is limited in practice. He is a risky fantasy play heading into Week 3 against the Bears and their lockdown defense.

  • Posted: 9/20/2018 3:19pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Sept. 20.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald appears to be on track to play in Week 3, but owners should monitor the situation. He is coming off a disappointing Week 2 performance but can still be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

  • Posted: 9/17/2018 8:05pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) will be monitored in practice this week, according to head coach Steve Wilks. The coach said Fitzgerald wants to play in Week 3.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald exited the game against the Rams in the second half due to a hamstring injury, and it's uncertain if he did not return to the game before his injury was more than minor, or if he was held out since the game was out of hand. We'll have a much better idea by Friday whether Fitzgerald will be ready or not.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 4:13pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams. He had three grabs for 28 yards on five targets before departing.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald was listed as questionable to return, but he didn't as the Rams were firmly in control of the game and there was no sense having the veteran potentially aggravate the injury further if he was available. Christian Kirk, Chad Williams and JJ Nelson would benefit if Fitzgerald needs to miss time.

  • Posted: 9/13/2018 3:36pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) fully participated in practice Thursday, Sept. 13.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald continues to be a solid fantasy option for owners despite his age and can be considered a No. 3 fantasy receiver this week despite the tough matchup.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 6:04pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (non-injury) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald likely is receiving just a day off and should be on the field in the next day or two. He continues to be a solid fantasy option for owners and should be a No. 3 receiver this week.

  • Posted: 9/9/2018 9:30pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught seven passes on 10 targets for 76 yards in a 24-6 loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 1.

Huddle Up: It was the steady performance fantasy owners have come to expect from Fitzgerald, who should remain a dependable WR2 in PPR formats throughout the season.

  • Posted: 7/17/2018 11:15am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald made it clear Tuesday, July 17, that as long as he is playing professional football he will be playing for the Cardinals. 'I've built a good life for myself down there. Playing in the same place for 15 years is a true blessing.'

Huddle Up: Playing one's whole career - especially one as long as Fitzgerald's - is indeed rare in the modern NFL. Fitz hasn't lost a step either. At 34 years old he has averaged 108.3 catches for 1,131.3 yards and 7.0 touchdowns over the last three seasons. He's a solid PPR WR1 candidate even with a new quarterback and coaching staff.

  • Posted: 7/17/2018 6:19am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald hinted that he isn't close to retiring. He still feels good, enjoys the competition and loves being around his teammates. He also said he's either playing for the Cardinals or retiring. 'It doesn't really matter about the age, it's about what you put into it and your mindset,' Fitzgerald said. 'Everybody kind of takes numbers and assumes this is when it's supposed to end. As an athlete, fortunately, you write your own script. If you still produce and you play at a high level, you kind of determine how long you want to play. If I can stay at a high level, I still keep destiny in my own hands.'

Huddle Up: Fitz has tallied 100 catches and 1,000 yards in each of the last three seasons, and only Antonio Brown has matched that feat. He'll be 35 in August, but he's still a very good WR2 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 2/15/2018 7:00am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald announced Thursday, Feb. 15, that he'll return for the 2018 season.

Huddle Up: He'll be 35 in August, but he has continued to be a dangerous possession receiver the last few years. He has averaged 108 grabs for 1,131 yards and seven scores per season the last three years. There are questions about who will throw to him, but he has remained consistent despite that. Look at him as a high-end WR2 in fantasy.

  • Posted: 2/12/2018 11:35pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald's $11 million salary became guaranteed on Friday, Feb. 9. However, this does not impact his retirement decision. If he chooses to retire, he would not receive that money.

Huddle Up: A decision from Fitzgerald is expected before the end of the month. If he indeed returns, he'll remain a WR2 going into next season, though there's a decent possibility he sees his numbers drop based on some significant changes in Arizona. Fitzgerald will have a new starting quarterback throwing to him -- a position still not filled -- while also playing under a new head coach that could bring out all sorts of variables.

  • Posted: 2/9/2018 11:08am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald's $11 million base salary for 2018 will be guaranteed if he is remains on the roster Friday, Feb. 9. Fitzgerald still has not decided if he will play next season or retire.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald said during Super Bowl week that he would decide on his future in a week or two, so owners should monitor the situation over the next few days. He would still be a solid fantasy receiver in all leagues if he continues playing.

  • Posted: 2/4/2018 11:50am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald said he expects to decide on his playing future in the next week or two.

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald posted solid numbers in 2017 but probably would be working with a new quarterback if he decides to return next season. He would still be a solid fantasy option if he continues his playing career and can be at least a No. 3 receiver for owners.

  • Posted: 1/31/2018 6:35pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald won't play for another team if he decides to return, according to his father Larry Fitzgerald Sr. in an interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio. 'If it's not with the Cardinals, we've seen the last of Larry Fitzgerald in the National Football League wearing No. 11,' he said. Fitzgerald Sr. added that his son 'really wants to get a championship ring, there's no doubt about that.'

Huddle Up: While other reports have Fitzgerald leaning towards returning for his 15th season, this one might indicate the opposite, as it sounds like winning would be the main reason for him to keep playing. However, the Cardinals are in a different situation now, having a new head coach and starting quarterback going into Week 1 of next year, and with the increasing difficulty of the NFC West, Arizona suddenly could be on a rebuilding trail. We'll hopefully find out soon.

  • Posted: 1/29/2018 9:38pm ET

Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Mike McCoy is anticipating the return of WR Larry Fitzgerald next season, as during his introductory press conference with the club on Monday, Jan. 29, he 'sure sounded like a coach expecting Fitz to play.'

Huddle Up: Fitzgerald will be 35-years-old going into next year but the future Hall-of-Famer apparently still has plenty left in the tank if this past season was any indication. Even despite losing starting quarterback Carson Palmer to injury, Fitzgerald managed to rack up his third consecutive year with 100-plus receptions and more than 1,000 yards. Thus, no matter who is under center for Arizona in 2018, Fitzgerald will be headed into the new campaign as a WR2 if he keeps playing.

  • Posted: 1/23/2018 11:48am ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has still not decided as to whether or not he will retire this offseason, according to new head coach Steve Wilks. Fitzgerald just completed his 14th season in the NFL and will turn 35 years old before the 2018 regular season begins.

Huddle Up: Even in his mid-30s, Fitzgerald is an ageless wonder. Without Carson Palmer he still managed to achieve WR1 status in 2017. As long as he's healthy, and doesn't hang up the cleats, he's a low-end WR1 to high-end WR2 with added value in PPR leagues.

  • Posted: 1/12/2018 1:39pm ET

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald said he would like to see who the Cardinals hire as their next head coach before he decides if he will play in 2018.

Huddle Up: Owners should monitor the situation over the next few weeks to see if Fitzgerald will play again. He is still a solid receiver and could be a No. 3 fantasy receiver next season if he plays.
