San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson (hip) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 12, and he will play Week 10.
The Huddle Take: Tomlinson has looked good in practice and appears to be ready for action in Week 10. The Chargers will likely continue to utilize both Tomlinson and Sproles in tandem to give them some versatility in the running game with a combination of power and speed. Tomlinson is far from the runner he has been in the past but continues to provide fantasy owners with decent point totals as a No. 2 running back.
Posted: 11/11/2009 10:30am et
Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson might be closing out his final season with the Chargers.
The Huddle Take: As his fantasy owners well know, LT is on pace for career lows across the board and is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. It's pretty clear the end is near, and a combination of the Chargers' staunch refusal to give Darren Sproles carries and Sproles' meager production when given carries (3.5 yards per tote) strongly suggests that San Diego will be in the market for a new runner this offseason.

CBSSports.com reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson sat out a few snaps late in the team's Week 8 because he was battling a cold. "That's the only thing that was wrong," Tomlinson said.
The Huddle Take: Every week there seems to be another excuse for why LT didn't light it up like he used to. A cold? Really? He couldn't stuff a tissue in his belt and blow his nose between snaps?
Posted: 11/2/2009 10:36am et
Scott Bair, of the North County Times, reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson surpassed 12,000 career rushing yards during the team's Week 8 game. Tomlinson is the fourth-fastest running back to reach the milestone.
The Huddle Take: LT scored twice in the Chargers' win over Oakland, but it's clear the nearly seven miles of rushing yardage has taken its toll on his burst and elusiveness.
Posted: 10/23/2009 11:57am et
San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson missed the team's practice Thursday, Oct. 22, but he is expected to play Week 7.
The Huddle Take: LT has a case of the flu, but some chicken noodle soup and bed rest and he'll be good to go by kickoff.
Posted: 10/5/2009 12:03pm et
The Associated Press reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson had seven carries for 15 rushing yards Week 4.
The Huddle Take: Myriad factors were at play here—a tough Steelers defense, a difficult West Coast-to-East Coast road trip, a double-digit deficit—but LT's defenders are growing tired of making excuses. The schedule eases up after San Diego's bye, and if Tomlinson doesn't tear up the likes of the Chiefs and Raiders what's left of the bandwagon will empty quickly.
Posted: 10/2/2009 12:06pm et
San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson practiced Thursday, Oct. 1, and he will probably play Week 4 unless he suffers a setback.
The Huddle Take: Great to see LT returning to action; not so great that his first game back is against the Steel Curtain. Given the matchup, there appears to be no need to rush him back into your fantasy lineup this weekend.
Posted: 9/30/2009 11:15pm et
Updating a previous item, CBSSports.com reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday, Sept. 30. Tomlinson said his ankle felt "pretty good" and that he wants to play Week 4. Tomlinson added that it would depend on how his ankle is.
The Huddle Take: The Chargers could certainly use L.T. back on the field to give them another solid option in the ground game. When Tomlinson and backup Darren Sproles are both available, the Chargers have a one-two punch in the backfield that is second to none. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor L.T.'s status on Friday to make sure he does not have any setbacks.
Posted: 9/29/2009 3:48pm et
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports San Diego Chargers RB LaDainian Tomlinson (ankle) is unlikely to return to practice this week.
The Huddle Take: It's unlikely Tomlinson will go this week against the Steelers, then San Diego has a bye the following week. Hopefully you'll get to use him in Week 6 on Oct. 19, which is a Monday night game against the Broncos.
Posted: 9/28/2009 3:52pm et
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports San Diego Chargers head coach Norv Turner said RB LaDainian Tomlinson (ankle) is making progress in his recovery, but the team still doesn't know when he will be back on the field.
The Huddle Take: L.T. will more than likely sit out one more week. If he should start in Week 4, he's still not an advisable play against Pittsburgh.
