Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler could see some playing time in Week 17 if the team has their playoff seed locked up by that point.

The Denver Broncos have declared WR Andre Caldwell, QB Caleb Hanie, OG Chris Kuper, CB Chris X. Harris, OL Philip Blake, RB Ronnie Hillman, DL Sealver Siliga inactive for Week 2.
Huddle Up: With Hanie inactive, that means second-round rookie Brock Osweiler will be the Broncos' backup QB in Monday night's game. Strange move considering the Broncos have made it a point to have a backup QB with NFL experience on the roster.

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler will be the No. 2 quarterback Week 1 after the
team released QB Caleb Hanie.
Huddle Up: This is a move to save the team a few $$$ as Hanie's base salary won't be
guaranteed this season without being on the opening-game roster. On the flip side,
if something should happen to Peyton Manning on Sunday, the Broncos' Week 1
hopes would be placed in the hands of a a raw rookie.

Denver Broncos QB Brock Osweiler is on track to win the No. 2 quarterback job this season. Osweiler has done well learning the offense and has been working with the second-team offense during training camp.
Huddle Up: This speaks well for Osweiler, a second-round pick in April, but it also illuminates the disappointment veteran free-agent Caleb Hanie has been so far in camp. In any case, if Peyton Manning goes down for a length of time this season, the whole Denver offense is headed for a fantasy free-fall.
