The Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens TE Todd Heap (wrist) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 17. He will start Week 3.

The Huddle Take: Heap continues to pile up the injuries, but at least so far this season he's been able to stay on the field. The extra week of rest won't hurt either.

The Baltimore Sun reports Baltimore Ravens TE Todd Heap (calf, knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 5. He is listed as probable for Week 1 and is expected to play.

The Huddle Take: With a rookie likely starting at quarterback, look for the tight end to receive a bunch of looks, a good sign for Heap. He won't likely have a huge game, but should be worth a start this week if you don't have a better option.

*Special Injury Update*

Todd Heap, BAL - Strained Calf - Ravens' TE Todd Heap, who missed a large portion of the 2007 season because of hamstring problems, hasn't practiced or played since August 2 because of a strained right calf muscle and the team's medical staff isn't sure when he will be ready to practice. Team officials have said that Heap's injury is minor, but he hasn't practiced with the team in two weeks. Head coach John Harbaugh indicated that the team expects Heap back in time for the start of the regular season, but there is a chance that he might not practice or play until then. This is definitely something to be concerned about. Heap has a history of dealing with nagging injuries so hopefully he will make a full recovery by Week 1.

The Associated Press reports Baltimore Ravens TE Todd Heap (calf) suffered a right calf injury Saturday, Aug. 2, and limped off the field. The injury does not appear to be serious. Heap had his calf wrapped.

The Huddle Take: This is one to watch. Some think Heap will be a great deal this year, some are very wary of his chances to perform at all. This injury doesn't help get rid of the latter thought process. He is going to have to demonstrate before the season starts that he's shaken the injuries and he's not off to a good start.
