ESPNews reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson (hamstring) is unlikely to play in Week 17.
The Huddle Take: A fitting end to a lost season for Ocho Cinco/Johnson. It'll be interesting to see if he's still in a Bengal uniform next season.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Dec. 19, and is probable for Week 16. Johnson is expected to play in the game.
The Huddle Take: It's almost incredible when you realize that Johnson hasn't cracked the 80-yard mark receiving all season, has only hit 50 three times, and has only scored four touchdowns - and two of those came in Week 9 against Jacksonville. You'd probably only turn to Ocho Cinco out of desperation this week, even if the opponent is Cleveland.

FOXSports.com reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson has been deactivated for the team's Week 12 game for walking out during a team meeting, sources said. Johnson went to the team meeting groggy and was told by offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski to sit up straight. After Johnson refused, Bratkowski repeated his demand. At one point in the meeting, Johnson got up and walked out of the meeting. Head coach Marvin Lewis chased down Johnson after shouting for him to come back. Lewis told Johnson to go home after some heated words were exchanged.
The Huddle Take: Sounds like the drama revolving around Ocho Cinco in Cincinnati is still in full swing after the disastrous offseason debacle. With the Bengals reeling this year on the field, don't expect Johnson to play a very big role in this offense going forward as the team will likely evaluate his status with the team further heading into the offseason.

Updating a previous report, ESPN.com reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson violated team rules regarding team meetings and there was a verbal altercation between Johnson and head coach Marvin Lewis which led to Johnson's Week 12 deactivation, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
The Huddle Take: As strained as the relationship between Johnson/Ocho Cinco and Lewis already was, don't be surprised if this isn't the only game the receiver has to sit out.

ESPNews reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson has been deactivated for the Bengals' Week 12 game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday, Nov. 20, for an unspecified violation of team rules.
The Huddle Take: It's not at all surprising to see a Bengal suspended, but it is surprising that the Bengal in question is Ocho Cinco, who has attitude in abundance but generally walks the straight and narrow when it comes to following team rules. Oh, except for that time he supposedly scuffled with coaches at halftime of a playoff game. Okay, so maybe Johnson isn't quite as pure as the driven snow. But without Johnson Ryan Fitzpatrick will have to rely on T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Bengals.com has reported that Chad Ocho Cinco has veen deactivated for tonight's game due to a violation of an unspecified team rule.
The Huddle Take: The team made the announcement and said that they would not discuss the matter until after the game. The switch will let Chris Henry and Glenn Holt gain more playing time but the matchup in Pittsburgh is one of the worst in the league.
Posted: 11/2/2008 6:09pm et
The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Johnson caught five passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 9 game.
The Huddle Take: The yardage was pathetic, but the scores are huge. Johnson even restrained himself in the end zone...both times. It wouldn't be prudent to expect much from Johnson in any game this season, but he'll perform like this a couple of times yet this year, making him retrain some of his fading value.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Ocho Cinco is not complaining about his or the team's lack of production like he would have in previous years. 'Yeah. I'd (have) been here like a little pit bull, fussing,' Ocho Cinco said of his past behavior. 'But no need, no need. I think right now, we're fine. We might not be in a position that we really want to be in, but right now, we don't need my problems being a distraction. After seeing what I saw on film, we got a lot of positive things. To play with the Super Bowl champs the way we did, we can really play and compete with anybody.'
The Huddle Take: The simple fact is, if you watched the game yesterday, Chad is flat out using his play to pout. Sure he's not speaking out, but his play is speaking volumes. He is playing nowhere close to the standard level of play he has proven he is capable of. Until he steps up, he's very limited in value.

The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Ocho Cinco had three receptions for 29 receiving yards Week 3.
The Huddle Take: Nothing but disappointment for fantasy owners of Ocho Cinco this season as the disgruntled receiver struggles to play with a torn labrum in his shoulder. He is no longer worth starting on a consistent basis due to the subpar performance of the Cincinnati offense to start the regular season.
Posted: 9/7/2008 10:23pm et
The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Ocho Cinco caught one pass for 22 yards Week 1. He has at least one catch in his last 93 games, which ties a team record set by former NFL WR Carl Perkins.
The Huddle Take: The key in this update is...he only had one catch. The entire Cincy offense totally sucked today and he was no exception. Let's hope this isn't a sign of what the season holds, but things don't look too promising.
