The Denver Post reports it appears the Denver Broncos are going to keep RB LaMont Jordan on the 53-man roster.
The Huddle Take: Not earth shattering news, as the Broncos will be throwing one serious committee in the backfield, but Jordan is a savvy vet that could be opportunistic if the right circumstance arises, and with the recent Bronco history in that department, it isn't outside of the realm of posibility.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports Denver Broncos RB LaMont Jordan and RB Correll Buckhalter are seeing time with the first-team offense during practice.
The Huddle Take: Jordan's probably living a lie, to be blunt, because the probability of him being the Broncos' No. 1 running back in Week 1 has to be microscopic. The bigger problem from a Fantasy standpoint, as it seems is always the case, is the glut of Bronco running backs. Jordan, Buckhalter, rookie Knowshon Moreno (when he finally reports to camp) and Ryan Torain (if he can prove he's healthy after a knee injury last season) will likely make Denver a black hole for Fantasy RBs.

The Denver Post reports Broncos RB LaMont Jordan said Saturday, April 18, he feels he has an advantage to be the team's starting running back in 2009 because he played with the New England Patriots in 2008.
The Huddle Take: Makes sense that Josh McDaniels would feel comfortable with a known quantity; see the Matt Cassel/Jay Cutler fiasco for all the evidence you need. Of course, the way McDaniels' offense has rotated backs in the past, "starter" may be merely a name for the guy who's on the field for the first play and not the back who sees the bulk of the touches.

FOXSports.com reports free-agent RB LaMont Jordan (Patriots) has verbally agreed on a two-year, $2.5 million contract with the Denver Broncos, according to league sources who spoke to FOX 31 Denver Wednesday, March 4.
The Huddle Take: Jordan came on strong in 2008 for the Patriots after being asked to leave in Oakland. With Denver struggling of late to find a consistent running game, look for Jordan to shore up the ground attack and give Jay Cutler and the passing game some much needed breathing room.
Posted: 12/21/2008 11:23pm et
The Associated Press reports New England Patriots RB LaMont Jordan rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries in the team's Week 16 game.
The Huddle Take: Lamont Jordan busted out in a big way in Week 16 as the Patriots destroyed the Arizona Cardinals 47-7. Jordan who joined the Patriots prior to the start of the season scored twice on a snow-covered blustery day in New England. Jordan has not been a factor for much of the season so don't expect these numbers in Week 17 when the Patriots battle the Buffalo Bills.
Posted: 11/29/2008 8:15am et
New England Patriots RB LaMont Jordan (calf) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 28. He is listed as questionable for Week 13, but he's expected to play on a limited basis.
The Huddle Take: Lamont Jordan appears to be in line to return to limited action in Week 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fantasy owners looking for help at the running back position should consider giving Jordan a look for a roster spot since he should get opportunites around the goal line for the Patriots offense down the stretch.
