Kent Babb, of The Kansas City Star, reports Chiefs QB Matt Cassel and WR Chris Chambers are working on building a chemistry with each other. Chambers said one will come as they work with each other and gain experience.
The Huddle Take: The chemistry they had in Chambers' first game as a Chief, which resulted in two Chambers touchdowns, seems to be pretty good already. But if Cassel and Chambers are working on building chemistry, what does it mean for Dwayne Bowe?

Adam Teicher, of The Kansas City Star, reports Chiefs head coach Todd Haley indicated that WR Chris Chambers may play in Week 9.
The Huddle Take: Chambers is a veteran, so the learning curve shouldn't be too steep. The Chiefs could use all the help they can get at wide receiver, so even if Chambers is limited to just a handful of routes and plays he could contribute immediately.

ESPN reports the Kansas City Chiefs claimed WR Chris Chambers off waivers from the San Diego Chargers Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The Huddle Take: Chambers will probably serve as a compliment to Dwayne Bowe. He more than likely will vault to the No. 2 WR spot in Kansas City and see a lot more opportunities than he saw in San Diego. If you have roster flexibility, you may consider grabbing Chambers as a free agent and stashing him away. He's not a recommended Fantasy start, however. Let's see how he fares with his new team before making that kind of commitment.

ESPN reports the San Diego Chargers waived WR Chris Chambers Monday, Nov. 2, according to a league source. He must clear waivers in order to play for another team, and each team will have a chance to claim Chambers by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. The Chargers will not have to pay him the $2.5 million they owe him if he is claimed by another team.
The Huddle Take: This is somewhat surprising news on the surface, but not exactly unexpected when you realize Chamber has only nine reception for 122 yards and one TD this season. It makes sense from not only a cost standpoint, but there are plenty of quality receivers in San Diego. Chambers could make an impact for another team, so don't be surprised if he finds a new home very soon. Houston could be one potential destination, since they lost TE Owen Daniels for the season and need someone to pose a threat opposite Andre Johnson.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports San Diego Chargers WR Chris Chambers is in danger of losing more of his playing time, according to head coach Norv Turner. Chambers finished without a reception Week 7, just the third time in his career that he didn't catch a pass. Chambers dropped an apparent touchdown catch and let another pass sail through his hands during the game. Chambers has been targeted 30 times this season, but he has only eight receptions to show for it.
The Huddle Take: Malcolm Floyd would likely see more opportunities if Chambers' playing time is decreased.

Tod Leonard, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers WR Chris Chambers insists he has lost little of his speed, even though he turned 31 this month. Chambers is motivated to show that 2008 was an oddity, as he finished with career lows in receptions and receiving yards. Chambers has scored 52 receiving touchdowns in his career, one less than Cincinnati Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco and Indianapolis Colts WR Reggie Wayne for the most in the 2001 NFL Draft class. Chambers has scored a touchdown every 9.1 catches, the best ratio in his draft class.
The Huddle Take: You certainly don't think of Chambers in the same class as Wayne and Ochocinco, especially since he's played for run-first teams in Miami and San Diego while Wayne and Ochocinco have been in significantly more pass-friendly offenses. And while both of those draft classmates are viewed as their team's primary offensive options, Chambers is maybe the Chargers' third or fourth option. But he's definitely a value fantasy pick heading into the season, so any resurgence could be had at a significantly reduced cost.

NFL.com reports DSC WR Chris Chambers (head, neck) left the team's Week 15 game with an apparent head or neck injury. He was able to leave the field under his own power.
The Huddle Take: Chambers caught only 2 passes for 28 yards on the day but will be evaluated further on Monday to determine the extent of his injuries. San Diego could ill afford to lose Chambers as the team is in a must-win position each and every game till the end of the regular season just to have a shot at the playoffs. Chambers for the most-part has been inconsistent so don't expect him to be worthy of starting in Week 16.
