Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman said he expects WR Alshon Jeffery to start for the team this coming season.
Huddle Up: Like Brandon Marshall, Jeffery has the body type to be a perfect fit for Trestman's West Coast system. Makes sense for the duo to be on the field together, as Jeffery can capitalize on the single-coverage he's bound to see with defenses focused on Marshall.

Updating previous reports, Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith said WR Alshon Jeffery (knee) underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, Nov. 21, and is expected to miss two to four weeks.
Huddle Up: There is little reason to stash Jeffery at this point unless you have an empty IR slot. He might be back for the fantasy playoffs, but it seems more likely that he will miss most or all of the rest of the fantasy season. It's not as though he was lighting the league on fire in the meantime.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (knee) will have arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, Nov. 22, according to multiple sources. It's uncertain how much time Jeffery will be sidelined, and it is possible he could return before the season is over.
Huddle Up: It's been a tough-luck season for the rookie, who just returned in Week 11 after missing 4 straight games due to fractured hand. It's time to cut bait and look for another option.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (knee) left the Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers in the second half Monday, Nov. 19, due to a knee injury and did not return.
Huddle Up: The return of Jeffery, who was playing for the first time since Week 5 after sitting out with a fractured right hand, lasted a little more than a half as he departed with a knee issue. He finished with 2 catches for 15 yards on 4 targets. More on the severity of Jeffery's knee injury will be available in the coming days.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) is likely to play in the teams Week 11 game Monday, Nov. 19, as Jeffery has played while hurt in the past. Jeffery may not start though if the Bears open up the game in a base package.
Huddle Up: Jeffery looks like a go if you need him tonight.

The chances of Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) playing in the Week 11 game against the San Francisco 49ers appear to be improving, although there is no official word yet.
Huddle Up: The rookie wideout has missed the past 4 games, and would provide the Bears' passing game a boost with backup QB Jason Campbell slated to start Monday night. Jeffery has 14 catches for 184 yards and 2 TDs in 5 games.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) was limited in practice Friday, Nov. 9, and is doubtful for Week 10.
Huddle Up: It is good to see Jeffery making his return from a broken hand. He might not be contributing this week, but it looks like he will be back soon enough. This will help the Bears offense, though it might not help your fantasy team; Jeffery is very much a boom-or-bust prospect at this stage in the game.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is not expected to play in Week 10. Although there's a slight chance Jeffery could return this week, according to sources, it's expected the Bears will hold him out as a precautionary measure to minimize the risk of re-injury to his broken right hand, before bringing him back for their Nov. 19 game.
Huddle Up: No reason to rush Jeffery back into your fantasy lineup, as at present he's a matchup-only play and this week's battle with the Texans is hardly a favorable matchup.

Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith said Wednesday, Oct. 31, that WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) is still out 'a while.'
Huddle Up: In case you've somehow missed this, it's time to move on and find a replacement as there's no guarantee Jeffery will be of any use before the fantasy playoffs begin.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) has been ruled out for Week 8.
Huddle Up: This is not unexpected considering the nature of his injury. Expect Jeffery back in the coming weeks; stash him on IR if you can.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) has been ruled out for Week 7.
Huddle Up: No surprise here as the rookie is expected to be out a month with fractured hand suffered in Week 5 vs. the Jaguars.
Posted: 10/8/2012 6:33pm et
Updating a previous item, Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) is expected to be out four to six weeks with a fractured hand, according to a league source.
Huddle Up: Tough break for the rookie.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery, who will undergo X-rays Monday, Oct. 8, on his swollen right hand, said after Week 5 that he does not believe the injury to be serious. "I could have kept playing," Jeffery said. "I'm confident it's not serious."
Huddle Up: Jeffery is at best a distant second option to Brandon Marshall in the passing game, but with Jay Cutler and the Bears' offense clicking (for now) he's a potential fringe fantasy contributor. Sounds like the hand injury won't be an issue, so plan accordingly.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hand) left the Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a right-hand injury. He posted two catches for 20 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown, before departing.
Huddle Up: According to various postgame reports, Jeffery's hand was swollen and in a wrap after the contest, and the rookie is scheduled to undergo an X-ray Monday.
