Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael (hamstring) ran Tuesday, Sept. 9, and will try to run again Thursday, Sept. 11, in order to test his injured hamstring. Head coach Pete Carroll said Michael has an outside chance to play Week 2 but should be ready to play Week 3.

Huddle Up: Just a depth chart update from the Pacific Northwest. In the meantime, Robert Turbin is the No. 2 back behind Marshawn Lynch if you're looking to keep yourself insured.

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 3, and was ruled out of the team's Week 1 game.

Huddle Up: As of right now, Marshawn Lynch, Robert Turbin and FB Derrick Coleman are the only backs listed on the Seattle depth chart for Thursday night's NFL opener.

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael (hamstring) did not practice Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Huddle Up: Michael has been battling the hammy issue for a week or so, and it looks like Robert Turbin will be the team's No. 2 back in the Thursday night opener.

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael (hamstring) has been ruled out for the preseason finale Thursday, Aug. 28, against the Oakland Raiders.

Huddle Up: Michael ends the preseason behind Marshawn Lynch and Robert Turbin on Seattle's RB depth chart. If Lynch were to go down, Turbin and Michael would likely both get touches but Turbin would get first crack as the early-down back.

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael is dealing with a hamstring injury.

Huddle Up: Michael, who leads the Hawks with 145 total yards and 3 TDs this preseason, will not play in Thursday night's exhibition finale, and it's still a toss-up as to who really is Marshawn Lynch's true handcuff.

  • Posted: 7/27/2014 11:33pm ET

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael left practice early Sunday, July 27, after dinging his right shoulder. Head coach Pete Carroll said Michael should be able to return Tuesday, July 29.

Huddle Up: Michael is a hot fantasy commodity growing even warmer as Marshawn Lynch's holdout continues, but injury issues could tap the brakes a little as the second-year RB doesn't exactly have a proven NFL track record (18 carries for 79 yards) to fall back on.

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darren Bevell said that the team is impressed by RB Christine Michael during offseason workouts. 'We are going to be running back by committee. We really like what Christine Michael is doing right now,' Bevell said.

Huddle Up: Until proven otherwise, Marshawn Lynch is the only Seattle RB worth fantasy consideration in most leagues, but Michael, a 2013 2nd-round pick who had only 18 rushes as a rookie, just might deliver on his preseason deep sleeper hype a year later than expected.

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael's areas of improvement to work on include more refined blocking and mastery of the running scheme.

Huddle Up: The 2013 second-round pick appeared on more than a few preseason sleeper lists last summer but only racked up 18 rushes for 79 yards in his rookie season. His fantasy prospects remain somewhat bleak barring an injury to Marshawn Lynch or Robert Turbin.
