Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael posted 89 yards on 16 carries in the team's preseason opener against the San Diego Chargers Thursday, Aug. 8. He appears to get stronger as the game went on, and head coach Pete Carroll said he wanted to make sure to get Christine into a rhythm. 'We weren't going to get frustrated with what happened early, and just keep sticking to it,' Carroll said. 'He bounced the ball well outside on his long run - had a couple of nice runs. He's got a long way to go, but he ran hard, looked quick and made some guys miss. So I think it's a very good first game for him.'

Huddle Up: Not so fast for those who have already annoited Robert Turbin as the handcuff to Marshawn Lynch as the second-round pick out of Texas A&M has come bursting through the gate. See how the competition plays out the remainder of the preseason.

Seattle Seahawks RB Christine Michael worked with the first-team offense this week during organized team activities (OTAs), and he showed off his pass-catching skills during the sessions.

Huddle Up: Don't read too much into Michael working with the first team; Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said the plan was to reduce the preseason wear and tear on Marshawn Lynch. Plus, this provides Michael with the opportunity to run with the ones and get up to speed more quickly on the offense.
