Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon is likely done with the Jaguars if he's reinstated into the league, in the opinion of beat writer Ryan O'Halloran.

Huddle Up: The fifth-overall pick of the 2012 draft has started 18 games in three suspension-marred seasons with the Jags, and even though the talent is there for the 25-year-old WR, it's likely for the best that Blackmon gets a new start.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon is progressing, regarding his off-field issues, but still has strides to make. The NFL is in control of his situation as of now. Blackmon pleaded no contest late last year to a misdemeanor for marijuana possession, among a litany of other problems.

Huddle Up: Blackmon, the fifth-overall pick in 2012, has only played in four games over the last two seasons and is coming off a year's suspension. Barring any further off-field issues, the WR should be reinstated this offseason. Stay tuned ...

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has 'paid his dues' and has 'his life together,' according to owner Shahid Khan. Khan is also 'very optimistic' Blackmon will return to the team next season.

Huddle Up: Sounds like things are looking far rosier for Blackmon than for fellow suspension-prone receiver Josh Gordon. Blackmon has been dominant for brief stretches and would give Blake Bortles another intriguing target should he return to the field.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon reportedly has overcome his off-field issues, and plenty of league sources expect him to be back with the team in 2015.

Huddle Up: The fifth overall pick of the 2012 draft has played in 20 games in three seasons but has shown he can be productive (93 catches-1,280 yards-6 TDs in those 20 contests) when he's on the field. If Blackmon has truly got his act together, he'll be a strong upgrade to Blake Bortles' young WR corps.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon isn't necessarily in the team's plans for next season, according to general manager David Caldwell. However, the team would like to have him on the field if he's ready, and they aren't expected to release him, either. "I think we have to treat it as a luxury. If he comes back that's great, if he doesn't -- we can't count on it. We feel good about the three guys we've got and if he comes back that's even better," Caldwell said Tuesday, Dec. 30. The Jags have heard that Blackmon has dedicated himself to being healthier and returning to football. Jacksonville is under no financial obligation to keep Blackmon since he's not currently on the roster.

Huddle Up: Blackmon, the fifth overall pick in 2012, has been productive when he's actually healthy and off the suspension with 93 catches for 1,280 yards and six TDs in 20 career games. Expect him to get one final shot with the Jags, who certainly don't have an over-abundance of talent.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon was pulled over at 6:22 p.m. local time Wednesday, July 23, leading up to his arrest for possession of marijuana. Police said Blackmon 'openly admitted to smoking a blunt while driving.'

Huddle Up: The already-suspended wideout doesn't seem too motivated to clean up his act, and it's fair to start wondering if we'll ever see him suit up for another NFL game.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has stayed quiet while serving his NFL suspension. "Every now and again, he will respond to my text," said Jaguars receiver Mike Brown. "We came into the NFL together and we're halfway close. But I don't get into his personal business. Whatever he has going on, I respect his space. I just want him to get better. Whatever the problem is, get it addressed. I'm more concerned about him as a person."

Huddle Up: Quiet, humbled, repetant and determined to redeem his NFL career -- those items should comprise the troubled wideout's to-do list as he waits until he's permitted back on the field.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have no plans to release Justin Blackmon. The team is hoping for Blackmon to return whenever he is reinstated from an indefinite suspension by the NFL.

Huddle Up: Hey, Blackmon was the draft's fifth-overall pick only 2 years ago and has proven to be productive when he's been on the field so don't start thinking he's out of chances quite yet.
