San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was active for the Week 12 game against the Houston Texans, but he was limited to one grab for eight yards on two targets.

Huddle Up: Benjamin didn't do much, and perhaps he was dealing with ill-effects of his injury. He could factor in more prominently in Week 14 with Tyrell Williams leaving the game early.

  • Posted: 11/27/2016 7:27am ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) will play in Week 12's game against the Houston Texans, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Benjamin was listed as questionable on the injury report despite being a full participant in practice throughout the week. He merits consideration as a flex option in deeper leagues despite the somewhat unfavorable matchup.

  • Posted: 11/25/2016 4:16pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 25, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Huddle Up: Benjamin was a full participant during practice this week and should be ready to play against the Houston Texans. He has been held to under five catches in each of the last four games and has less than 55 yards in each of those games. Benjamin could be considered a flex option in deeper leagues because he should see be involved in the passing game.

  • Posted: 11/24/2016 3:18pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) participated fully in practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

Huddle Up: The warning signs are legitimate for Benjamin this week. He's missed the last two weeks with his knee injury and faces a really tough test in the Houston Texans. Don't consider Benjamin as more than a flex start.

  • Posted: 11/23/2016 1:21pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Unfortunately for Benjamin he'll return against one of the better pass defenses in the NFL this year in the Houston Texans. If there aren't better options then start him, but he has risk written all over him this week between the matchup and the return from injury.

  • Posted: 11/22/2016 4:32pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) returned to practice Monday, Nov. 21.

Huddle Up: This is excellent news for Benjamin, after the former Cleveland Brown missed the club's last contest in Week 10, but it appears the bye week really did wonders for his sprained PCL. As long as he's able to keep trending in the right direction throughout the week, Benjamin should return to action Sunday, and he'll be a strongly recommended pickup for any leagues where he might be available. Benjamin is San Diego's best receiver with Keenan Allen (knee) out for the year, and was leading the club in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns prior to going down with injury. He still might be a little hobbled, though, which makes him a risky WR3 play for Week 12.

  • Posted: 11/11/2016 3:54pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) did not practice Friday, Nov. 11, and he is listed as doubtful for the Week 10 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Benjamin is a risky since he did not practice all week. Avoid him in all deeper fantasy leagues, which is the only place he should be starting when healthy.

  • Posted: 11/11/2016 1:48pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) did not participate in practice all week and has been listed as doubtful for Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Tyrell Williams is also questionable with a knee injury, setting the stage for an increased role from Dontrelle Inman and likely Hunter Henry. Antonio Gates has reestablished himself as Philip Rivers' top target in recent weeks, but there should be more than enough to go around to make all the aforementioned Chargers worth starting in fantasy this week.

  • Posted: 11/10/2016 1:31pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 10.

Huddle Up: That's two days in a row Benjamin has not practiced. If he doesn't practice tomorrow then he could be doubtful for Week 10. Even if he practices and eventually plays he could be on a snap count. The risk in starting Benjamin may just be too high.

  • Posted: 11/9/2016 2:29pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 9.

Huddle Up: Don't look now, but Benjamin has only scored once in his last seven games and has not even reached 60 yards in his last four games. He has dealt with injuries and could be limited again this week if he plays, as he was last week. The timing just doesn't seem right for a Benjamin rebound, even in a good matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 4:20pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) left the Week 9 game against the Tennessee Titans in the fourth quarter and he is not wearing or holding a helmet. He entered the game with a sprained posterior cruciate ligament in his knee.

Huddle Up: With Benjamin on the mend it's good news for fantasy owners of Tyrell Williams, Antonio Gates and Dontrelle Inman.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 12:14pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 9 game.

Huddle Up: Benjamin has been playing with the knee injury for the last several weeks but has posted decent numbers during that time. Benjamin is a risky option for owners but can still be a No. 3 receiver or a flex option.

  • Posted: 11/4/2016 2:44pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 4, and is listed as questionable for Week 9.

Huddle Up: Benjamin has been dealing with his knee injury for several weeks but has been able to play. He has been targeted at least five times in every game this season but has posted at least five receptions in one of the last six games. Owners can consider Benjamin as a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/3/2016 2:52pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 3.

Huddle Up: Benjamin may be a little deeper in the woods than his counterpart Tyrell Williams. Benjamin is dealing with a PCL sprain, so he'll really need to be monitored before this weekend's game. Even if he's active, he could be limited. But if he is active, he should be started. He would still arguably be the Chargers' best option in the passing game.

  • Posted: 11/2/2016 5:35pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 posterior cruciate ligament injury but will not need surgery. His status for Week 9 is uncertain at this point.

Huddle Up: Benjamin has been bothered by his knee injury over the past few weeks but has been able to play. Owners will need to check on his status later in the week to see if he will play in Week 9. He can be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues if he is active.

  • Posted: 11/2/2016 2:41pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Huddle Up: Benjamin has been able to play despite the knee injury but was scheduled to receive a second opinion on his knee earlier in the week. Owners should keep an eye on the situation to see if he will play in Week 9. Benjamin is a decent No. 3 receiver when healthy, but owners will need others available in case he is ruled out.

  • Posted: 10/31/2016 1:37pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) will receive a second opinion on his posterior cruciate ligament sprain, according to a source. Benjamin has been dealing with the injury for weeks and its discomfort has continued.

Huddle Up: An injury-plagued season for the Chargers gets worse by the week. It's unclear how bad Benjamin's injury is, but his status requires monitoring. Tyrell Williams and Dontrelle Inman would become San Diego's top receivers if Benjamin is forced to miss time, but Williams is the better bet if they're both available on waivers.

  • Posted: 10/30/2016 8:39pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin posted three receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown in the Week 8 game against the Denver Broncos. He was targeted a team-high nine times.

Huddle Up: Benjamin's stat line wasn't terribly impressive, but his touchdown catch certainly was very pretty. He remains more of a WR4 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 9 against the Tennessee Titans.

  • Posted: 10/30/2016 11:44am ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 8 game.

Huddle Up: Benjamin should receive a solid amount of targets during the game but will be facing a solid Denver Broncos defense. Benjamin could still be considered a No. 3 receiver in most leagues despite the matchup.

  • Posted: 10/28/2016 1:03pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 28, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

Huddle Up: Benjamin probably will be able to play this week, but owners need to check the inactive list to make sure. He has seen a small dip in his stats over the last few weeks but could still be a No. 3 receiver for owners in most leagues.

  • Posted: 10/27/2016 2:59pm ET

San Diego Chargers WRs Travis Benjamin (knee) and Tyrell Williams (knee) were both limited participants at practice Thursday, Oct. 27, after sitting out practice Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Huddle Up: This is encouraging news for both, as it means each wide-out is on track to suit up in Sunday's divisional clash with the Broncos. At the same time, it also figures to be a difficult matchup, as Denver has one of the true elite defenses in all of football. When these two teams met a few weeks ago on Thursday Night Football, both Benjamin (three catches, 17 yards) and Williams (three catches, 28 yards) produced season lows in receiving yards.

  • Posted: 10/26/2016 8:20pm ET

Updating a previous report, San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was listed on the injury report for practice Wednesday, Oct. 26, due to a knee injury, but beat writer Michael Gehlken said it appears Benjamin was just being rested.

Huddle Up: The Broncos have the league's top ranked pass defense allowing just 175.0 yards per game with four touchdowns through seven games, so even if Benjamin can play he isn't a recommended fantasy option in most formats.

  • Posted: 10/26/2016 2:43pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 26.

Huddle Up: Benjamin only caught three passes for 17 yards in San Diego against the Broncos. If Benjamin does play, he could put up similar numbers in Denver, too. Benjamin shouldn't be completely disregarded, but don't view him as more than a WR4 against the elite Denver pass defense.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 10:54pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) managed four receptions for 54 yards in the Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons. He was targeted five times.

Huddle Up: Benjamin showed no ill-effects of the knee injury which had him listed as questionable. He has four or more grabs in six of his seven games, but faces a Denver defense in Week 8 which limited him to season lows of three grabs and 17 yards.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 12:10pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) is officially active for the team's Week 7 game.

Huddle Up: Benjamin should receive is normal workload and likely will be a solid part of the passing game. Owners should consider him a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/22/2016 2:28pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) is expected to play in Week 7 even though he is listed as questionable for the game.

Huddle Up: Benjamin should receive his normal workload against the Atlanta Falcons this week and probably will have a solid role in the passing game. He can be a decent No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/21/2016 4:58pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

Huddle Up: Benjamin is expected to play this week, but owners will need to check the inactive list to make sure he is playing. He will have a solid role in the passing game if he plays in Week 7 and could be a No. 3 receiver in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 10/21/2016 1:03pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) will be listed as questionable for Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Huddle Up: While the expectation is that he will play, Benjamin's pace has slowed considerably since Week 2, when it appeared he was going to take over the Keenan Allen role in San Diego's offense. The Falcons present yet another get-well spot for Benjamin's fantasy stock, so owners should feel reasonably good about starting him as a WR3/flex in what should be a shootout.

  • Posted: 10/20/2016 2:05pm ET

Updating a previous report, San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 20. As reported earlier, he is expected to play if he doesn't have any setbacks.

Huddle Up: To be safe, Benjamin's status should be monitored heading into the weekend. He has a great matchup against the Oakland Raiders, though, and is a viable WR3 play at worst if he's good to go.

  • Posted: 10/20/2016 11:26am ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) is participating in practice Thursday, Oct. 20. He is expected to play in the team's Week 7 game as long as he does not suffer a setback.

Huddle Up: Benjamin should be able to play this week, but owners should check the inactive list just to make sure. He has recorded two 100-yard games this season and has been targeted at least seven times in four of the six games. Benjamin can be a No. 3 receiver in most leagues if he plays.

  • Posted: 10/19/2016 1:42pm ET

Updating a previous report, San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Huddle Up: It is not known if Benjamin's knee injury will keep him out of the team's Week 7 game, but owners should know more about his status later in the week. He has been a bit inconsistent in terms of his weekly receiving yards but has been targeted at least seven times in three of the last four games. He should be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver if he is active this week.

  • Posted: 10/19/2016 11:34am ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (leg) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Oct. 19. Benjamin was wearing a sleeve on his right leg Monday, Oct. 17.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see if Benjamin is in danger of missing the team's Week 7 game. Benjamin has played well over the first six weeks of the season and should be a starting candidate for owners if he plays.

  • Posted: 10/11/2016 5:36pm ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin is on pace for 1,261 receiving yards, which would be a career-high. This season is his first with the Chargers. Benjamin's current career-high in receiving yards is 966, set last year with the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Benjamin has been a great addition to the San Diego offense. His opportunities have increased with the losses of Keenan Allen and Danny Woodhead, and he has become QB Phillip Rivers' favorite target. That being said, he faces one of his tougher tests of the season in the Denver Broncos this week. View him as a WR3 for Thursday night.

  • Posted: 8/20/2016 5:37am ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin caught one pass for 11 yards in the preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals Friday, Aug. 19.

Huddle Up: Benjamin missed some time during training camp because of an injury but should be more involved in the offense moving forward. He likely will be one of the starting receivers this season and can be a No. 4 wide receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/17/2016 9:03am ET

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin was singled out by QB Philip Rivers for his work during a joint practice against the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday, Aug. 16, specifically for their timing on a comeback route that Rivers deemed his "favorite play" of the evening.

Huddle Up: Consider what Benjamin did in Cleveland with no viable QB, and what Rivers did in San Diego with a patchwork line and receiving corps. If the two can get on the same page early they could do some damage over a 16-game slate. Benjamin is best suited as a No. 4 fantasy wideout, but there's sneaky upside here.

  • Posted: 3/8/2016 11:19pm ET

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent WR Travis Benjamin has drawn interest from the Atlanta Falcons, according to a source. Benjamin played for current Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in Cleveland in 2014.

Huddle Up: Benjamin is coming off a breakout season (68-966-5) with the Browns and also excels as a punt returner and certainly would appear to be a solid fit opposite Julio Jones following the release of Roddy White.

  • Posted: 2/24/2016 8:59am ET

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent WR Travis Benjamin's talks with the Browns have broken down and he will enter the free-agent market, according to his agent.

Huddle Up: But... but... they've been close to a new deal for weeks! What happened? If Benjamin hits the open market he may just find a team with a quarterback and never look back. Or reading the tea leaves, perhaps the Browns' reluctance to open up their wallet means optimism with the Josh Gordon situation. Either way, more drama in Cleveland--and Johnny Football isn't even involved!

  • Posted: 2/23/2016 9:23am ET

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent WR Travis Benjamin is nearing a deal with the team, beat writer Tony Grossi said Monday, Feb. 22.

Huddle Up: Benjamin and the Browns have been "near" a deal since the season ended. Barring something unusual, he'll be back catching passes from Josh McCown or (insert new Browns quarterback here). What remains to be seen is if Benjamin will be forced into the go-to role once again or if Cleveland will get Josh Gordon back from suspension.

  • Posted: 2/19/2016 9:52am ET

Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin could be re-signed to a new contract shortly, according to ESPNCleveland.com's Tony Grossi.

Huddle Up: Benjamin was moderately successful last season in Cleveland's moribund passing game. His return is at minimum a hedge against Josh Gordon's availability (or lack thereof) and would give the Browns' new quarterback, whomever it may be, at least one semi-reliable target.

  • Posted: 2/4/2016 6:17pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin said he could get a deal done with the Browns before March. Furthermore, he spoke with new head coach Hue Jackson, who said he loves Benjamin's skill set and that 2016 will hopefully be a great season for the Browns.

Huddle Up: While Benjamin isn't a No. 1 WR, his 2015 breakout season (68-966-5) and kick-return skills certainly make him a valuable asset for the talent-poor Browns.

  • Posted: 1/26/2016 9:57am ET

Cleveland Browns impending free-agent WR Travis Benjamin could be a top priority for the Browns this offseason after totaling 68 catches for 966 yards and five touchdowns. He was also fourth in the NFL with 11.6 yards per punt return.

Huddle Up: The Browns have a new run-oriented coach, still need a quarterback, and should get suspended Josh Gordon back. That doesn't exactly scream "priority" for Benjamin, especially if he's looking to get paid.

  • Posted: 12/10/2015 7:24pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin (shoulder) said he will be able to play in Week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: The Browns' receiving leader (in terms of receiving yards) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 10 after sitting out the day before and the Week 13 loss to the Bengals, so see if he can ramp things up to full participation Friday.

  • Posted: 12/9/2015 4:15pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin (shoulder) is out of practice Wednesday, Dec. 9.

Huddle Up: Not a real surprise as it's the Browns' first practice of the week, and there's optimism that the team's leading receiver (826 yards on 54 catches) will be able to play Sunday against the Niners. Stay tuned ...

  • Posted: 12/7/2015 4:30pm ET

Cleveland Browns WR Travis Benjamin (shoulder) isn't expected to miss time after suffering a shoulder injury in Week 13.

Huddle Up: Benjamin will resume his role as the Browns' deep threat this week. He'll be a boom or bust WR4.
