Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch (hamstring) practiced Thursday, Sept. 17, and he is questionable for the team's Week 2 game.

The Huddle Take: With the Seattle passing attack improving from its horrendous performance in 2008, the potential return of Branch to the offense should bring another solid option. Fantasy owners should look at Branch's status this week in practice before even considering the wideout roster worthy in fantasy leagues.

Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch (hamstring) is questionable for the team's Week 1 game after injuring his hamstring during practice Monday, Sept. 7.

The Huddle Take: Branch, who has battled injuries for much of the last few seasons, is once again likely to miss the opening game for the Seahawks. If he is out of action then fantasy owners should expect Hasselbeck and the Seattle passing game to focus in on Houshmandzadeh and burleson in Week 1.

The Tacoma News Tribune reports Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch could have his roster spot in jeopardy because he is scheduled to make $5 million as well as the depth at wide receiver.

The Huddle Take: Branch has averaged about 600 yards and four TDs in the three seasons he's been in Seattle. That isn't exactly world-class production, and certainly not worth $5 million. Plus, he's battled injury much of the time he's been a Seahawk. Branch may land somewhere else if Seattle releases him, but don't count on him being much of a Fantasy factor this season.

The Associated Press, reports Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch (knee) said his knee will never feel normal again after undergoing reconstructive surgery. 'You will never be back to normal once you have this type of procedure done. I actually feel stronger, but it's not normal. Something has been done that removed (parts) of my knee. My biggest thing is to continue to strengthen it,' Branch said.

The Huddle Take: It appears the Seahawks may be thinking the same thing as they brought in T.J. Houshmandzadeh in the offseason to be their No. 1 wideout. Branch should make for a decent No. 3 fantasy receiver at the present time barring any setbacks to his recovery from knee surgery. However, fantasy owners should not expect him to post the type of numbers they are used to seeing from him even if he does stay on the field more this season.

The Associated Press reports Seattle Seahawks WR Deion Branch caught four passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns in the team's Week 14 game.

The Huddle Take: This is just a nice story to report, as Branch has had a heck of a bout with injuries the past two seasons. It looks as though he's strong, getting his timing back and ready to be a factor again.
