Los Angeles Rams QB Sean Mannion might be considered for the starting job in Week 16 if QB Jared Goff (concussion) cannot play. The team would like to make a decision by Thursday, Dec. 22, on their starter. QB Case Keenum is a free agent at season's end, and the team would like to see what they have in Mannion, their third-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Huddle Up: Mannion was a stud at Oregon State, pairing with Brandin Cooks to be one of the most dangerous pass-catch combinations in the country. He has shown glimpses of brilliance in the preseason, but he would not be a fantasy play in Week 16 if he is under center.

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff (concussion) was removed against the Seattle Seahawks Thursday, Dec. 15, and is being evaluated for concussion. He was replaced by QB Case Keenum.

Huddle Up: No matter who is under center for the Rams, they aren't going to provide much help for fantasy owners.

  • Posted: 11/13/2016 6:10am ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff could make his first NFL start as soon as Week 11 versus the Miami Dolphins, if QB Case Keenum struggles in Week 10's game against the New York Jets, according to multiple league sources.

Huddle Up: Even if Goff takes over as the Rams' No. 1 quarterback, he shouldn't be viewed as a viable starting option from a fantasy standpoint right away. However, he is worth stashing in long-term dynasty leagues.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 8:06pm ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum completed 27 of his 46 pass attempts for 296 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: It wasn't great, and his TD strike came in the final minute of regulation, but overall it was a decent stat line for a QB2. He'll look to keep it up at N.Y. Jets in Week 10 against a subpar pass defense.

  • Posted: 10/29/2016 5:21pm ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff has made progress learning the offense, and the coaching staff would feel comfortable putting him in for QB Case Keenum if the need arises, according to people within the organization.

Huddle Up: Even if he is given the chance to start, Goff wouldn't be a viable fantasy starter. At best, he is a stash candidate on keeper leagues.

  • Posted: 10/23/2016 10:19am ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum went 32-for-53 for 291 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions against the New York Giants in Week 7.

Huddle Up: Keenum has thrown seven interceptions over the last three games and could lose his job if the Rams decide to go with Jared Goff as their starter during their bye week. Owners should avoid whoever the Rams quarterback will be moving forward.

  • Posted: 10/16/2016 6:22pm ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum completed 27 of his 32 pass attempts for 321 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the Week 6 game against the Detroit Lions. He also ran three times for seven yards and a touchdown. He completed a franchise-record 19 straight passes in the loss.

Huddle Up: Keenum struggled in the first few games, but he has gotten his sea legs and thrown for at least 266 yards in each of his past three outings, increasing his passing yardage totals in each outing. He is still more of a QB2 in fantasy leagues which use two starting signal callers, but not a bad bye-week replacement if you're desperate for a QB.

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum completed 21 of his 31 pass attempts for 271 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills.

Huddle Up: Keenum didn't have any touchdowns after four over the past two games, but his yardage total was a season high. He is still more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 6 against the Detroit Lions.

  • Posted: 10/2/2016 10:03pm ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum completed 18 of his 30 pass attempts for 266 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 4 game against the Arizona Cardinals. He also ran three times for 14 yards.

Huddle Up: After a shaky opening game Keenum has gotten his sea legs and has at least been serviceable, steering the team to three straight victories since Week 1. He has thrown for four TDs with one INT over the past two making him a decent low-end QB2 and emergency option if your primary signal caller has a bye.

  • Posted: 9/12/2016 10:36pm ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum completed 17 of his 35 pass attempts for 130 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 1 shutout loss against the San Francisco 49ers. He finished with three runs for 10 yards, too.

Huddle Up: Keenum was a disaster and he could get a quick hook from the starting job with the top overall pick from the 2016 NFL Draft, Jared Goff, waiting in the wings. The rookie cannot be much worse than this.

  • Posted: 6/17/2016 2:18pm ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum will enter training camp as the starting quarterback, with QB Jared Goff assuming the backup position, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.

Huddle Up: Don't expect that to last long as the Rams' didn't trade up and spend the No. 1 overall pick on a player who won't be able to beat out the journeyman Keenum.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Case Keenum will be the starting quarterback for the Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Huddle Up: Keenum, who started two games last season for the Texans, replaces the struggling Nick Foles, who has thrown for 200 yards or fewer in each of his eight starts since the season opener.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

Updating a previous report, St. Louis Rams QB Case Keenum (concussion) will start in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals if he is healthy. Keenum did not participate in the Rams' light practice Tuesday, Nov. 24, but could participate Wednesday, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.

Huddle Up: Keenum was hurt on the ugly late-game incident which somehow escaped notice of the concussion spotters last Sunday, and rest assured he have to pass all tests and protocols with flying colors this week to have a shot at playing Sunday in Cincinnati. If not, Nick Foles will be back at the helm.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Case Keenum (concussion) is listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Huddle Up: Keenum has been limited in practice and still has not made it through the full concussion protocol so expect Nick Foles to resume his starting duties Sunday in Cincinnati.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Case Keenum is still being evaluated for a concussion but is likely to be on the practice field in some capacity Wednesday, Dec. 2, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.

Huddle Up: Keenum, who threw for 136 yards and a TD in his Week 11 start in Baltimore before sitting out Sunday, will have some extra days to clear the cobwebs, but it really doesn't matter a whole lot fantasy-wise as the St. Louis passing game has been a fantasy wasteland for several seasons now.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

St. Louis Rams QB Case Keenum (concussion) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 11, and is listed as probable for the Week 14 game against the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: Most fantasy teams fooling with the Rams' QBs are more than likely on the outside looking in this postseason, but just in case ...

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum will be the team's starting quarterback in 2016, according to general manager Les Snead.

Huddle Up: If you're looking for evidence that the Rams will trade up to get a quarterback in the 2016 draft, the above statement provides it.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum could have interest from the Denver Broncos now that the Rams have traded up and acquired the first overall pick in the draft.

Huddle Up: It's a somewhat-logical fit being that Keenum spent his first two seasons playing for coach Gary Kubiak with the Texans, but the Rams are still going to want to have a veteran QB on the roster no matter who they pick at No. 1, and that still would seem to favor Keenum over Nick Foles at this point unless the Broncos or another team come in with a trade offer too good to pass up.

  • Posted: 5/20/2016 11:23am ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum signed his first-round restricted free-agent tender Monday, April 18. Keenum could still be traded.

Huddle Up: Shockingly, no other team wanted to give up a first round pick to acquire Keenum. He should be ready to caddy for whichever rookie quarterback the Rams traded up to select first overall.

  • Posted: 2/28/2016 2:34pm ET

Los Angeles Rams QB Case Keenum could be given a first- or second-round tender, according to ESPN.com's Nick Wagoner. In doing so, the Rams would get a valuable draft pick if they don't want to match another team that wants to sign him.

Huddle Up: The Rams could only be so fortunate as getting a first-rounder for Keenum would be a true coup. In the meantime, the team continues to promote the premise that Keenum and Nick Foles will handle the QB duties again in 2016 even though they had the worst passing offense (175.3 yards per game, 11 total TD passes) in the league a year ago. Perhaps, though, it's a smokescreen, and the Rams will come away with a QB in the first round of the draft.
