Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon was pulled over at 6:22 p.m. local time Wednesday, July 23, leading up to his arrest for possession of marijuana. Police said Blackmon 'openly admitted to smoking a blunt while driving.'

Huddle Up: The already-suspended wideout doesn't seem too motivated to clean up his act, and it's fair to start wondering if we'll ever see him suit up for another NFL game.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has stayed quiet while serving his NFL suspension. "Every now and again, he will respond to my text," said Jaguars receiver Mike Brown. "We came into the NFL together and we're halfway close. But I don't get into his personal business. Whatever he has going on, I respect his space. I just want him to get better. Whatever the problem is, get it addressed. I'm more concerned about him as a person."

Huddle Up: Quiet, humbled, repetant and determined to redeem his NFL career -- those items should comprise the troubled wideout's to-do list as he waits until he's permitted back on the field.

  • Posted: 6/4/2014 12:39am ET

The Jacksonville Jaguars have no plans to release Justin Blackmon. The team is hoping for Blackmon to return whenever he is reinstated from an indefinite suspension by the NFL.

Huddle Up: Hey, Blackmon was the draft's fifth-overall pick only 2 years ago and has proven to be productive when he's been on the field so don't start thinking he's out of chances quite yet.

  • Posted: 5/3/2014 12:04am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said he'd be 'relatively surprised' if WR Justin Blackmon played in the 2014 season.

Huddle Up: Bad news if you're holding Blackmon in a dynasty league and don't have the roster flexibility to stash him, as it looks like his off-the-field issues will keep him off the field for the foreseeable future.

Updating a previous report, the Florida Highway Patrol said WR Justin Blackmon will not be charged with careless driving after his one-car crash Saturday morning March 15.

Huddle Up: No, the 5th overall pick in 2012 isn't facing another DUI charge and avoided injury, but there still are hurdles aplenty awaiting the wideout who played in only 4 games this past season and remains on indefinite suspension from the league.

  • Posted: 2/20/2014 5:04pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell said the team would welcome WR Justin Blackmon back to the team if he can get things right.

Huddle Up: That last clause, of course, is the big one with the wideout having missed all but 4 games in 2013 due to a suspension. However, the former first-round pick did show quite well in those 4 games with 29 receptions and 415 yards, and that's what's spurring the Jags' faith.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon will enter a rehab facility, a league source said Sunday, Nov. 3. Blackmon was suspended indefinitely Friday, Nov. 1, for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, and he will be eligible to apply for reinstatement prior to the start of next season.

Huddle Up: Positive news that Blackmon is seeking help to wrestle with his demons, and a big step towards his availability for the start of the 2014 season.

  • Posted: 11/1/2013 4:46pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's policy and program for substances of abuse. Blackmon will be eligible to apply for reinstatement prior to the 2014 season.

Huddle Up: Those who waited four games for Blackmon to return from his previous suspension, at least you got a little productivity out of him before losing him for the rest of the year. Mike Brown becomes a viable fantasy commodity, and Cecil Shorts' stock goes back up as well.

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (hamstring) is expected to play in the Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers in London. Officially, he is listed as probable.

Huddle Up: Blackmon was never in any real danger of missing Sunday's game. Plug him in as a WR2 this week against the 49ers.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (hamstring) didn't practice Friday, Oct. 25, but he's probable for Week 8.

Huddle Up: Usually when a player misses Friday's practice it sends up a red flag, but with Blackmon it sounds like all systems are go for this weekend so no reason for alarm.

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WRs Justin Blackmon (hamstring) and Cecil Shorts (shoulder) were limited in practice Thursday, Oct 24.

Huddle Up: Blackmon was able to return to the field after sitting out Wednesday, and both wideouts are expected to play Sunday in London barring a late-week setback.

  • Posted: 10/18/2013 9:57pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (hamstring) did not practice Friday, Oct. 18, and he is listed as questionable for the Week 7 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Huddle Up: Blackmon is expected to start and he has a great match-up against a struggling San Diego secondary. Blackmon is a strong WR2 this week. Expect him to continue to rack up the targets.

  • Posted: 10/17/2013 9:23pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (hamstring, groin) is progressing nicely but is unlikely to practice Friday, Oct. 18. However, head coach Gus Bradley said Blackmon should be able to play in Week 7 against the San Diego Chargers. 'Blackmon's good,' Bradley said. 'I think it's something that he'll have to deal with. He may be a guy that we hold out tomorrow just to keep it calmed down.'

Huddle Up: Sounds somewhat promising for Blackmon's fantasy owners and the Jags, who may be without fellow WR Cecil Shorts (shoulder) on Sunday.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (groin, hamstring) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Oct. 16, but should be able to play Week 7.

Huddle Up: Keep an eye on this development through the rest of the week. Hopefully it's just precautionary, but we've seen some surprise deactivations this year already.

  • Posted: 10/7/2013 10:50am ET

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon made his regular season debut in Week 5 against the St. Louis Rams, and he hauled in five receptions for a game-high 136 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted nine times.

Huddle Up: Blackmon certainly made up for lost time, having missed the first month due to a league suspension. He may have to overcome having Blaine Gabbert as his quarterback, but he's done so in the past with solid results so going forward he should be considered a viable fantasy contributor.

  • Posted: 10/1/2013 2:41pm ET

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley had good things to say about how WR Justin Blackmon handled his four-game suspension. 'He's done tremendous these last four weeks,' Bradley said. 'His body fat has dropped and his weight has gained. He's in really, really good shape right now. He's done everything that we've asked of him, he went on the trips with us. I could go with a list on some of the things we asked him to do that he's done, so he's a in a great frame of mind right now.' Blackmon is likely to start in Week 5 against the St. Louis Rams.

Huddle Up: This is good to hear as Blackmon prepares to return to action. He should be rostered in every league, and he is a great WR2 or flex option right off the bat against St. Louis.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has served the final game of his four-game suspension.

Huddle Up: Blackmon's return gives the Jaguars another playmaking receiver; question is, who will get the ball to him?
