Free-agent DT Kevin Williams (Vikings) said he will consider retirement if he does not receive the salary he is looking for this offseason. Williams has met with the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks.
Huddle Up: Williams will turn 34 in August and his total tackles have decreased in each of the past 4 seasons, but he still has a good year or two left in him so look for him to catch on with someone -- likely a solid playoff contender -- later this spring or summer.

Minnesota Vikings DT Kevin Williams said Sunday, Sept. 8, that he would be 'shocked' if he did not play in the Week 2 game against the Chicago Bears. DT Letroy Guion started in his absence in Week 1.
Huddle Up: The Vikings dearly missed Williams' presence in the middle of their defense, though fantasy owners of Reggie Bush and Joique Bell were happy to take advantage. Looks as though Matt Forte owners won't be as fortunate.

Minnesota Vikings DT Kevin Williams left the preseason game Sunday, Aug. 25, against the San Francisco 49ers due to a right knee injury. He is scheduled to have an MRI on the knee Monday, Aug. 26, but he doesn't believe the injury is serious.
Huddle Up: Williams took a low, cheap shot away from the play from 49ers' backup guard Joe Looney. And you wonder why veterans don't want to extend the preseason; they don't even want to play in the four games currently on the slate.
