Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (torn biceps) is expected to play in Week 14 despite being listed as questionable.
Huddle Up: The real question will be how effective Suggs can be playing hurt as the Ravens have a tough matchup this week against RGIII and the Skins.
Posted: 12/7/2012 4:39pm et
Baltimore Ravens CB Asa Jackson (shoulder) and LB Terrell Suggs (biceps) were both limited in practice Friday, Dec. 7, and are questionable for Week 14. CB Chris X. Johnson (thigh) fully participated in practice and is questionable.
Huddle Up: Suggs says we'll find out if he's playing on Sunday, but you have to think he will be limited if he does go. The Ravens defense is a bit of a M.A.S.H. unit right now, so losing Suggs for the game could tip the balance against RGIII and the Redskins.
Posted: 12/3/2012 11:23pm et
Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs has a biceps tear, and he posted on his Twitter account that he is seeking a second opinion. He expects to miss time, but it may not be season-ending.
Huddle Up: The bad news continues for the Ravens' D, which has been without LB Ray Lewis and CB Ladarius Webb. Suggs and the team are hoping for a more favorable second opinion with the Ravens fighting for the AFC North title and RGIII and Peyton and Eli Manning lined up next on the schedule.
Posted: 11/15/2012 1:14pm et
Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs said he is not so convinced Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (rib, shoulder) will not play in Week 11. The Steelers have already named QB Byron Leftwich the starter. 'Until the ball is snapped, I'm still preparing as if he's playing,' Suggs said. 'I saw the guy play on a broken ankle when he came down here, and we even broke his nose, and the guy continued to play, and if you all recall, it didn't pan out too good for us at the end of that game. So like I said, until that ball is snapped when we're on the field and (the Ravens offense is) off the field, I'm not ruling him out. You can never question this guy's toughness. Guys like that are what this game is about.'
Huddle Up: There's no doubt the Ravens have a healthy respect for Roethlisberger after he's dominated them in the series as of late, but when the Big Ben's injuries are of a life-threatening variety, there's no way the Ravens are going to see the QB on Sunday night and possibly not in the Dec. 2 rematch, either. Suggs would be wise to sneak in a little prep work for Byron Leftwich.

Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') made his season debut in Week 7 against the Houston Texans. He had a first-quarter sack, and finished with three solo tackles.
Huddle Up: The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year made a welcome return to a battered Ravens' D, but it still wasn't nearly enough against the balanced Texans, who gained 420 total yards, including 181 on 37 rushing attempts, while scoring 36 offensive points in a 43-3 romp.
Posted: 10/20/2012 9:49pm et
Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') is expected to have some role on defense in Week 7. Earlier Saturday, Suggs was activated from the Physically Unable to Perform list. In a corresponding move, the team released LB Sergio Kindle
Huddle Up: At last, some positive news for the Ravens' D, which last week lost LB Ray Lewis and CB Ladarius Webb for the season. It's a little surprising, too, considering the Ravens have a bye coming next week, which would've been the ideal time to get Suggs acclimated for a Week 9 return.
Posted: 10/18/2012 1:06pm et
Updating a previous item, there is no specific plan at this point as to when Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') will return to the field, according to three sources connected to the situation. Suggs is taking his rehab 'day by day,' according to a source with knowledge of his condition and mindset, and has 'no idea' on when he'll be considered game-ready. Suggs' rehab has gone as well as could be expected, but the club source said he'd be 'shocked' if he were to play in Week 7.
Huddle Up: Looks for Suggs soon -- the decimated Ravens defense certainly needs the help -- but Week 7 definitely appears to be pushing the timetable. After Sunday's game in Houston, the Ravens have a bye in Week 8, so Week 9 seems like a logical target date for Suggs' return.
Posted: 10/8/2012 11:40am et
Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs is not expected to return for the team's game Oct. 21 against the Houston Texans, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. The source refuted reports that Suggs was aiming toward that game, characterizing it as unrealistic he would be ready or that the Ravens would risk a setback by allowing him to play. It is far too soon to know exactly when Suggs will return; however, it's far more likely that he would return sometime in November, perhaps later in that month.
Huddle Up: Suggs has been sidelined since suffering an Achilles' tendon injury in the offseason. If he's able to return at all the season to give the Ravens a pass-rushing presence for the playoff push, it will be a huge plus; however, that return might be too little too late for Suggs to have any sort of fantasy IDP impact.
Posted: 8/30/2012 4:36pm et
Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') is not eligible for the NFL Injured Reserve/Designated to Return list because he was already placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Huddle Up: No big deal for fantasy owners as the NFL's reigning Defensive Player of the Year will still be able to play later in the season if his torn Achilles' heals in time. That remains a longshot, though, and the Ravens are going to have to count on second-round pick Courtney Upshaw, among others, to pick up the slack.
Posted: 8/27/2012 12:06pm et
The Baltimore Ravens announced Monday, Aug. 27, they have placed LB Steve Baggs, LB Darryl Blackstock, FS Emanuel Cook and DT Ryan McBean on Injured Reserve. They have also placed WR David Reed and LB Terrell Suggs on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Huddle Up: Suggs is sidelined with an Achilles' tendon injury suffered playing basketball this offseason. Putting him on the PUP suggests the Ravens have hope he can play this season, something to keep in mind if you can stash him on your IDP roster.
Posted: 6/5/2012 8:46pm et
Baltimore Ravens LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') continues to say he was injured during conditioning drills, but staff members are saying Suggs played in a three-day basketball tournament the weekend he was hurt. The team said it won't withhold payments from Suggs either way.
Huddle Up: The Ravens have the right to withhold part of his $4.9 million salary but they won't do it. It's bad mojo, and besides... Suggs is probably the most valuable and respected player in the locker room after Ray Lewis.
Posted: 5/31/2012 1:46pm et
The Baltimore Ravens for now are holding out hope that LB Terrell Suggs (Achilles') can recover quickly and perhaps play in a reduced role as a pass rusher late in the season, taking the field only on passing downs.
Huddle Up: It sounds like such a long shot. Suggs blew out his Achilles just 17 weeks before the season starts.
