Free-agent WR Rishard Matthews (Titans) is scheduled to work out for the Arizona Cardinals Tuesday, Oct. 9, according to a source.

Huddle Up: The Cardinals do not have much behind Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk, so Matthews could have a solid role if he decides to join the Cardinals. He can be owned in fantasy league but likely will stay on the bench most weeks.

  • Posted: 10/6/2018 9:39am ET

Free-agent WR Rishard Matthews (Titans) is scheduled to work out for the Cleveland Browns Monday, Oct. 8, according to a source.

Huddle Up: Matthews could be the No. 3 receiver for the Browns if decides to sign a contract with them. He has played well in the past but may only be a depth receiver on fantasy rosters if he joins the Browns.

  • Posted: 9/27/2018 9:20am ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews is being released Thursday, Sept. 27.

Huddle Up: Matthews has been an afterthought in the Titans' passing game this year after leading the squad in receiving last season. Corey Davis and Taywan Taylor stand as the biggest benefactors, with Tajae Sharpe now representing a decent waiver wire pickup.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 6:26pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews has asked the Titans to release him because of lack of targets.

Huddle Up: Matthews has been targeted six times in three games, so it appears his time with the Titans is probably over. He could have some fantasy value depending on which team he joins next but would not be more than a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver.

  • Posted: 9/26/2018 4:00pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (non-injury) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Huddle Up: Matthews probably will return to practice later this week since he is not dealing with an injury. He has been limited to only 11 yards on three catches this season and can be avoided in all leagues.

  • Posted: 9/23/2018 1:44pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews caught one pass for three yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.

Huddle Up: Matthews is off to a very slow start with only three catches for 11 yards in the first three games. Owners in all leagues should avoid Matthews until he is more productive.

  • Posted: 9/16/2018 7:25pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews posted just two grabs for eight yards on four targets in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Matthews didn't jell well with backup Blaine Gabbert at all, as the veteran was under center for the injured Marcus Mariota (hamstring). Avoid Matthews and most Titans in the pass game until Mariota is back. The Titans face a tough road trip to face the stiff defense of the Jaguars in Week 3.

  • Posted: 8/23/2018 3:26pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (knee) had surgery earlier this month to repair a torn meniscus in his knee but could be activated from the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list as soon as next week, according to sources.

Huddle Up: Matthews has missed every practice since training camp began but has two weeks to return to the field and prepare for Week 1. He probably will be a starting receiver for the Titans this season and could be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver in fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/21/2018 8:15pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) is making progress in his recovery and hopefully will be back on the field shortly, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.

Huddle Up: Matthews has missed the entire training camp because of an undisclosed injury, so his status for Week 1 may be a question mark at this point. He likely will be a starter for the Titans when he is healthy and is coming off a solid 2017 season. He has a chance to be a No. 3 receiver in some fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 8/21/2018 6:03am ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews agreed to a one-year extension Tuesday, Aug. 21, through 2019. The extension is a team option with a base value of $7.75 million.

Huddle Up: The deal is made as Matthews continues to deal with an undisclosed injury that has cast a shadow of doubt over his Week 1 status. He's a WR3 in fantasy, but that clout is starting to slide as we enter the third week of the preseason.

  • Posted: 8/15/2018 9:02am ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) remained on the sidelines at practice Wednesday, Aug. 15.

Huddle Up: There's still no word on the mystery ailment for the WR3 in fantasy. Continue monitoring for the next couple of weeks.

  • Posted: 7/30/2018 8:36am ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list Monday, July 30, and will not practice.

Huddle Up: It's concerning that he has been placed on the PUP now for an undisclosed ailment, but he still holds WR3 value.

  • Posted: 7/26/2018 12:33pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Thursday, July 26, but was in attendance. Head coach Mike Vrabel said Matthews will be on the field when he is cleared and that the team wants to be patient.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to keep an eye on the situation to see when Matthews will be able to return to the field. He is coming off a solid 2017 season and will continue to be the team's top receiver. Matthews should be at least a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 6/14/2018 3:41pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) and WR Corey Davis (undisclosed) should be ready for the start of training camp after they missed some offseason workouts because of injuries, according to head coach Mike Vrabel.

Huddle Up: Both Matthews and Davis are expected to be big parts of the passing game this upcoming season. Matthews is coming off a solid 2017 and should be able to post similar numbers. He can be a No. 3 receiver for fantasy owners. Davis was limited to 11 games last season, so he should post better numbers this season. He can be a No. 4 fantasy receiver.

  • Posted: 6/13/2018 4:37pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) did not participate in practice Wednesday, June 13.

Huddle Up: Matthews has been dealing with an undisclosed injury this offseason but probably will be ready for training camp. He served as the team's top receiver in 2017 and should have a solid role again this season. He can be a No. 3 receiver in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 5/23/2018 7:24pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (undisclosed) is dealing with a minor undisclosed injury but should return to the field before offseason workouts end.

Huddle Up: Matthews will be one of the starting receivers for the Titans and will have a solid role in the passing game. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver for fantasy owners in 2018.

  • Posted: 1/6/2018 5:23pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews caught one pass for 15 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card playoff game Saturday, Jan. 6.

Huddle Up: Matthews is on a bit of a cold streak with only two catches and 22 yards over the last two games. He should have a solid role in the passing game in the Divisional Round and could be a flex option in some fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/18/2017 5:22am ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews had six catches for 95 yards and a touchdown Sunday, Dec. 17, against the San Francisco 49ers.

Huddle Up: Matthews had a clunker game last week, but he's averaging 6.6 targets the last five weeks with steady production. He's a WR3 candidate against the Los Angeles Rams next week.

  • Posted: 12/10/2017 8:16pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews was limited to three grabs for 19 yards on five targets in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Huddle Up: Matthews should be the No. 1 receiver in this offense, but he is still more of a WR3 or WR4 in most fantasy when he is running hot. Right now, he is more of a WR4 or WR5 as the Titans offense limps along.

  • Posted: 12/8/2017 3:28pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 8, and is not on the injury report for Week 14.

Huddle Up: Matthews should be back in the lineup after missing the last two because of his injury. He has had a solid role in the Titans passing game this season and has two touchdowns in his last three games. He can be a No. 3 fantasy receiver in most leagues.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 12:07pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (hamstring) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 7.

Huddle Up: Matthews appears to be on track to play this week but may be covered by Patrick Peterson during the game. He can be considered a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in leagues despite the matchup.

  • Posted: 12/6/2017 3:34pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (hamstring) was limited during practice Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Huddle Up: Matthews appears to have a chance to play in Week 14, but owners will need to check on his status later in the week. He will be a risky option if he is active since hamstring injuries can linger, but he is a solid option when he is healthy.

  • Posted: 12/4/2017 12:15pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (hamstring) is considered day-to-day but is expected to be back on the field in Week 14, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: The Titans desperately need their No. wide receiver back after multiple weeks of a lackluster passing game. It remains to be seen if Matthews will be at full strength or limited at all if/when he returns, but view him as a low-end WR2 to high-end WR3 for now.

  • Posted: 11/25/2017 1:43pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (hamstring) will be a game-time decision for the team's Week 12 game, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

Huddle Up: Owners will need to check the inactive list to see if Matthews will be able to play in Week 12. He is coming off a 113-yard performance in his last game and has been productive in most of the games this season. He will be a risky option if he plays but can be a No. 3 receiver for owners.

  • Posted: 11/23/2017 3:31pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 23.

Huddle Up: Owners should check on Matthews' status Friday, Nov. 24, to see if he is in any danger of sitting out Week 12. He recorded 113 yards and one touchdown last week and should remain one of the main targets in the passing game. He can be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

  • Posted: 11/16/2017 10:43pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews caught five passes for 113 yards and a touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11.

Huddle Up: Buoyed by a 75-yard touchdown grab to start the second half, Matthews topped 100 yards for the first time this season. He has quietly been Tennessee's most effective wideout thus far and deserves consideration as a WR3.

  • Posted: 10/22/2017 1:58pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews finished with three grabs for 40 yards on six targets in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.

Huddle Up: Matthews had his second-lowest yardage production of the season and he hasn't found the end zone in four games dating back to Week 3 against Seattle. Treat him as a WR4 or flex option in Week 9 once the team returns from a bye.
