Tennessee Titans WR Taywan Taylor saw first-team reps opposite WR Rishard Matthews and in the slot during practice Thursday, Aug. 3, after WR Corey Davis (hamstring) left with an injury.

Huddle Up: Taylor is probably ticketed for slot duty and is an interesting stash candidate in keeper formats. He is a late-round flier in redraft leagues.

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews should be one of the starting wide receivers this season, in the opinion of TitansOnline.com's Jim Wyatt.

Huddle Up: Matthews is coming off a solid 2016 season when he posted 945 yards and nine touchdowns. The team has added to their receiver corps this offseason, but Matthews probably will receive a similar amount of targets in 2017. Owners in most leagues should consider Matthews as a No. 3 receiver.

  • Posted: 2/20/2017 1:15pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews posted career highs in catches (65), receiving yards (945) and touchdowns (9) last season. The 65 catches were tied for the team lead, while his nine touchdowns were the most on the Titans.

Huddle Up: Matthews eventually cemented himself as the No. 1 receiver in Tennessee. He should maintain that status in 2017, especially with Kendall Wright heading for free agency. Don't expect as good of a season from Matthews, but he should still be drafted in the low-end WR2 to high-end WR3 territory.

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews posted nine receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Houston Texans. He was targeted 13 times.

Huddle Up: Matthews started out rather slow, but he managed career highs with 65 catches, 945 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his first campaign in Nashville. He proved he can be a capable No. 1 receiver and will be a solid WR3 in 2017 unless the team dramatically improves its receiving corps in the offseason.

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews posted three receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown on a team-high nine targets in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Matthews took a step back after hitting the century mark in yardage last week, but he made up for the lack of yards with the score. He has found the end zone eight times in the past 11 games to emerge as a useful WR3 in most fantasy formats down the stretch.

  • Posted: 12/18/2016 8:02pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews racked up four receptions for a game-high 105 yards on 10 targets in the Week 15 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Huddle Up: Matthews had a slow start to the season, but he has a pair of 100-yard games over his past four outings and he has five touchdowns over the past seven games. He remains a solid WR3 in most fantasy leagues heading into Week 16 against Jacksonville. He scored against the Jaguars in Week 8, finishing with four grabs for 38 yards.

  • Posted: 12/11/2016 7:11pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews posted just one reception for 26 yards on three targets in the Week 14 game against the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: The Tennessee pass attack was ugly in this one, as Marcus Mariota went for just 88 passing yards. All Tennessee receiving options struggled from a fantasy perspective against the league's No. 1 pass defense.

  • Posted: 12/7/2016 7:41am ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews has 21 catches for 312 yards and four touchdowns over the last four games.

Huddle Up: Matthews is fifth at the position in average fantasy points over the last five weeks with 19.1 points per game in PPR leagues. He's coming off a bye and has a midrange matchup against the Denver Broncos this week. Matthews is a low-end WR2 this week.

  • Posted: 11/27/2016 4:59pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews finished with three receptions for a team-high 64 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears. He was targeted seven times, also a team high.

Huddle Up: Matthews has 63 or more receiving yards in each of his past four games, and he has a total of seven touchdowns over the past eight games to emerge as a decent low-end WR2 in most fantasy leagues. You'll need to make other plans in Week 13, as Tennessee is on a bye.

  • Posted: 11/13/2016 4:58pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews managed three grabs for 63 yards and a touchdown on five targets in the Week 10 win against the Green Bay Packers.

Huddle Up: Matthews has been a touchdown machine lately, finding the end zone four times in the past three games and six times in the past six outings. He has re-emerged as a solid WR3 in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 11/6/2016 10:47pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews posted six receptions for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Week 9 game against the San Diego Chargers. Matthews was targeted 10 times.

Huddle Up: Matthews got off to a tough start this season, but he has visited the end zone at least once four times in the past five games (five total touchdowns). He has re-emerged as a decent WR3 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 10 against the Green Bay Packers and their leaky pass defense.

  • Posted: 10/5/2016 10:48pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews might be used as the X position to spell rookie WR Tajae Sharpe in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins. Matthews was replaced as the Z receiver by veteran WR Andre Johnson in the Week 4 game against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Matthews has been a big disappointment in Nashville so far, and he is only worth retaining as a WR4 in fantasy leagues with deeper rosters.

  • Posted: 10/2/2016 5:39pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews hauled in two receptions for a game-high 82 yards in the Week 4 game against the Houston Texans.

Huddle Up: Matthews was a big-money free agent in the offseason, but he has not really lived up to his paycheck until Week 4. He entered with 10 grabs for 98 yards on 18 targets in the first three games. He has the potential to be an impact fantasy option, but for now he is only worth a spot as a WR4 in the deepest of fantasy leagues until he shows more consistency. He'll face his former team, the Miami Dolphins, in South Florida in Week 5 so perhaps he'll play with a little more purpose.

  • Posted: 9/25/2016 8:24pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews posted three grabs for 32 yards in the Week 3 game against the Oakland Raiders. He was targeted eight times.

Huddle Up: Matthews came over from Miami as a high-priced free agent, but he has yet to make a splash from a fantasy perspective. Right now he can only be trusted as a WR4 in deeper leagues.

  • Posted: 9/19/2016 6:55am ET

Tennessee Titans WR Tajae Sharpe played all 67 offensive snaps in Week 2, and WR Rishard Matthews was in on 54 percent of the plays with 36.

Huddle Up: Sharpe is clearly their No. 1 receiver. He has 11 catches for 109 yards in two games, but his usage rate gives him upside moving forward. He's a great WR3 right now.

  • Posted: 9/16/2016 8:18pm ET

Tennessee Titans WR Rishard Matthews said he and QB Marcus Mariota missed a couple of opportunities in Week 1, but offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie said he expects their timing to improve.

Huddle Up: Tajae Sharpe looks to be Mariota's early favorite in the passing game, but Matthews is worth stashing for at least a few weeks to see how his role develops.
