Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik said the team would like to re-sign impending free-agent TE Dallas Clark and hopes to meet with his agent soon.
Huddle Up: Clark wasn't much of a factor early in the season but acclimated himself to the Tampa Bay offense later on. He can provide a nice over-the-middle option for the Bucs while Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams work the outsides and down the field; now the Bucs just need to figure out if Josh Freeman is their long-term solution at quarterback.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Dallas Clark, who only has nine catches on the season through five games, is frustrated with his performance. 'Everyone thinks they can do more. You wouldn't be in this league if you didn't think you can do more,' Clark said.
Huddle Up: Clark was a bit of a sleeper going into the season, if you could believe he would be productive in the pass game when healthy. Well, he has been healthy, but a major disappointment. If this is a sign that he will be more involved in the offense, then he might become a decent bye-week fill-in at some point. Obviously you will want to wait and see if this motivation will pay off.
Posted: 10/17/2012 6:42pm et
Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan said TE Dallas Clark would like to get more involved in the offense, but has not been based on the coverage defenses have shown. The Bucs are expecting more favorable coverage for Clark.
Huddle Up: Clark only has 9 catches for 81 yards on 15 targets in 5 games so far. His 4-catch, 33-yard effort in Week 2 is his high-water mark on the season, and he has yet to find the end zone. In the meantime, the Bucs' starting WR duo of Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams has been highly productive, so things should be open for Clark in the middle of the field.
Posted: 8/17/2012 4:29pm et
Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Dallas Clark and WR Vincent Jackson should both see playing time in their game against the Tennessee Titans Friday, Aug. 17, although the starters should not see extended playing time until week three of the preseason.
Huddle Up: Clark is an intriguing fantasy proposition. When healthy, he is one of the best pass-catching tight ends in the league. Though he will no longer have Peyton Manning tossing him the football, he is the top tight end option in Tampa Bay. He could be a sneaky late-round pickup if you need a tight end.
