ESPN reports the Arizona Cardinals traded WR Anquan Boldin and a 2010 fifth-round draft pick to the Baltimore Ravens Friday, March 5, in exchange for third- and fourth-round picks in the 2010 NFL Draft.
The Huddle Take: Boldin arrives in Baltimore as the No. 1 receiver on the team and the trade likely means that Derrick Mason may not be returning or will play a diminished role. Either way the Ravens have acquired a solid playmaker capable of being Joe Flacco's go to guy for many years to come.

The Miami Herald, reports two people in contact with the Miami Dolphins said they could envision the team offering a draft pick for Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin. The pick would likely be in the third round or later.
The Huddle Take: Boldin has long been rumored to be interested in Miami and the Dolphins could certainly use a solid No. 1 wideout to shore up its receiving group. The Cardinals receiver could be the missing piece that the Dolphins have been looking for as they are certainly a team on the rise this year.

Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports the Cardinals may try to trade WR Anquan Boldin at some point during the offseason. Boldin is still upset that the team failed to address his contract situation even though he stayed quiet during the season.
The Huddle Take: Boldin wants to be paid like Larry Fitzgerald, and even in an uncapped year the Cardinals aren't inclined to open up the wallet like that. Essentially, Arizona can keep Boldin around for another year and another run, or they can deal him before he becomes a free agent. Should be an interesting offseason.

Armando Salguero, of The Miami Herald, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin said after the team's loss to the New Orleans Saints Saturday, Jan. 16, that he will not request a trade during the offseason. "I'm going to let it play out," Boldin said. He is under contract for 2010 and scheduled to receive $3 million in pay during the final year of his deal. "If I go to them and request a trade, it don't matter. I'm under contract for another year. So no matter what I say or do, that won't change anything. I'm under contract for another year," Boldin said. In regards to his health, Boldin said he will be fine and will not require surgery on his injuries that kept him out of both of the Cardinals' playoff games.
The Huddle Take: While Boldin may not request a trade, the Cardinals might seek one out rather than lose Boldin via free agency after next year. Steve Breaston and Early Doucet played well in Boldin's absence, and if Kurt Warner retires the Arizona offense will take on a significantly different look anyway. At least now Boldin doesn't look as if he's attempting to force the issue.

Jeff Duncan, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin has been declared inactive for the team's Divisional Round playoff game. WR Steve Breaston will start in Boldin's place.
The Huddle Take: Boldin hadn't been able to do much during the practice week, and his knee and ankle injuries will keep him on the sidelines for a second straight playoff game. With talk of Boldin being traded in the offseason already picking up steam, he may have played his last game as a Cardinal.

AZCardinals.com reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin was limited in practice Friday, Jan. 15, and is questionable for the team's postseason game this weekend.
The Huddle Take: Boldin has been bothered by ankle and knee injuries of late and missed the Cardinals Wild Card round win over Green Bay. He'll be limited this week if he even plays at all, so expect Steve Breaston and Early Doucet to see plenty of work.
Posted: 1/15/2010 12:51pm et
Updating an ongoing story, Adam Schefter, of ESPN, reports the Arizona Cardinals are not expecting WR Anquan Boldin to play in the team's Divisional Round playoff game but are still holding out hope that he will be able to play.
The Huddle Take: The Cardinals made out just fine with Early Doucet and Steve Breaston last week and would be ready to go forth with that same lineup this week if they can't get anything from Boldin.
Posted: 1/15/2010 12:40pm et
Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin has not practiced in two weeks because of a sprained ankle and knee. Even if he plays in the team's Divisional Round game Sunday, Jan. 17, he would likely be limited to about 30 plays in the game.
The Huddle Take: Boldin played hurt earlier this year and did alright, though he was not nearly the explosive receiver we've seen in the past. The Cards will use plenty of Steve Breaston and Early Doucet to augment whatever they can get out of Boldin.
Posted: 1/12/2010 10:31pm et
The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (ankle, knee) said he is feeling much better Tuesday, Jan. 12, and is optimistic that he will play in the team's playoff game this weekend. He said Tuesday that he 'was able to move around a little bit' for the first time since he injured his left ankle and knee in Week 17. Boldin is hoping to practice Wednesday, Jan. 13, or Thursday, Jan. 14.
The Huddle Take: This is a positive sign for Boldin and the Cardinals who will have a tough test against the New Orleans Saints this week. Boldin could increase his value for possible offseason trades involving other teams if he can return to action and help the Cardinals make some noise in the playoffs.
Posted: 1/9/2010 3:28pm et
Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports the Cardinals will likely trade WR Anquan Boldin in the offseason rather than re-sign him to an extension. The 2010 season will be the final year of Boldin's contract.
The Huddle Take: Curious timing for this bit of information, with Boldin on the fence as to whether or not he'll be healthy enough to play in Sunday's Wild Card game against the Packers. Boldin has made it clear he wants to be paid like an elite receiver, and the notoriously stingy Cardinals already have Larry Fitzgerald, so it wouldn't be at all surprising to see him sent packing in the offseason.
