Updating a previous report, the Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms with free-agent DE Osi Umenyiora (Giants) on a two-year deal.
Huddle Up: This had been in the works for a while as Umenyiora will fill the pass-rushing gap vacated by the release of John Abraham. To do so, Umenyiora will have to bounce back from a 6-sack season in 2012 -- his lowest output aside from his 1-sack rookie year.

New York Giants DE Osi Umenyiora said he would prefer to finish out his career with the Giants, and there is a chance that could happen. 'There's a chance, absolutely,' Umenyiora told reporters in New Orleans on Thursday. 'Of course (there) is. Hopefully that'll happen. I prefer to finish out my career there. But there's a lot of things in play here. It's not going to be totally my decision. They're going to have some decisions to make also. It's going to be a collective effort. My agent's going to have his say. Hopefully things will work out there. I prefer to stay there.'
Huddle Up: This will be one of the more interesting storylines to follow this offseason as the Giants have some big decisions looming, including an extension for standout WR Victor Cruz.
Posted: 8/27/2012 11:59pm et
New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said Monday, Aug. 27, that he expects LB Mathias Kiwanuka (groin), DE Jason Pierre-Paul (back), DE Osi Umenyiora (knee) and DE Justin Tuck (shoulder) to all play in the regular season opener Wednesday, Sept. 5, against the Dallas Cowboys.
Huddle Up: Bad news for the Cowboys and their offensive line, which has had its struggles this preseason. Kiwanuka (3.5), Pierre-Paul (16.5) ,, Umenyiora (9) and Tuck (5) combined for 34 sacks a season ago for the Super Bowl champs, and they'll be rarin' to get after Tony Romo on opening night.
