Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said he is keeping an open mind when it comes to the quarterbacks on the team's roster. Arians will give QBs Kevin Kolb, John Skelton and Ryan Lindley an opportunity to earn the starting job; however, he is not opposed to an outside candidate earning the nod as well. "I'm sure that (general manager) Steve (Keim) and (vice president of player personnel) Jason (Licht) are going to be looking behind door number two," Arians said. "If door number two is a better option, we'll go to door number two." Arians said he's looking forward to meeting with all three quarterbacks but isn't in a rush to evaluate their chances at this point.

Huddle Up: The quarterbacks currently on the Cardinals' roster certainly played like number two last year, so the Arizona front office better knock on door numbers two, three, and four in an effort to upgrade the position.

Arizona Cardinals QB Ryan Lindley will start against the Chicago Bears in Week 16.

Huddle Up: This will be Lindley's sixth game and fifth start, but he's been a disaster with 8 turnovers and no TD passes. He also had more passing yards in Week 12 vs. the Rams (312) than in his other 5 games combined (299).

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said QB Ryan Lindley will start Week 15.

Huddle Up: At this point, it's either the frying pan or the fire for the Cards with Kevin Kolb still sidelined. Starter John Skelton was a 5-turnover disaster in last week's 58-0 loss to the Seahawks, but the rookie Lindley hasn't been any better with only 507 passing yards and a 2-5 TD-to-interception ratio in 4 games. What it does mean is that the Lions' defense is a must-start this week.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said the team considered benching QB Ryan Lindley in favor of QB John Skelton but did not make the move.

Huddle Up: Lindley struggled mightily Sunday, completing only 10-of-31 passes for 72 yards and an interception and failed to lead the Cards to the end zone in a 7-6 loss to the Jets. He has 6 turnovers and no TD passes in 3 games. Kevin Kolb's return can't come soon enough for the Cards and their fans.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt said QB Ryan Lindley will be the starting quarterback Week 12.

Huddle Up: Things just go from bad to worse for Larry Fitzgerald. At this point, Fitzgerald is no longer a "must-start," a sad waste of his talents. Who knows, maybe Lindley will find ways to get him the ball, but we are not holding our collective breath.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt would not say who the starting quarterback will be for Week 12. QB John Skelton started Week 11 but was benched in favor of QB Ryan Lindley. Whisenhunt said QB Kevin Kolb (ribs) is working his way back from injury.

Huddle Up: The Cards' best hope -- and the best scenario for Larry Fitzgerald's fantasy owners -- is that Kolb returns ASAP after Skelton and Lindley for all of 70 passing yards Sunday in a game Arizona lost despite owning a 6-1 turnover edge.

The Arizona Cardinals benched QB John Skelton in the second quarter Sunday of their Week 11 game and replaced him with QB Ryan Lindley.

Huddle Up: The Cards clearly missed the injured Kevin Kolb here as neither Skelton (2-of-7, 6 yards) or Lindley (9-of-20, 64 yards, lost fumble) got anything done Sunday in the game in which the Cards finished with a 6-1 turnover advantage.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt is expected to name his starting quarterback Friday Aug. 31, choosing between QBs Kevin Kolb and John Skelton. Rookie QB Ryan Lindley is starting the Cardinals' fourth preseason game, but he is not being considered for the starting role. The competition is so close that if the starter struggles in Week 1, it is possible the backup will get playing time.

Huddle Up: This is a much bigger deal in Cactus Country than in fantasyland, where a number of 10-team leagues aren't even bothering with either Kolb or Skelton. In the meantime, wideout Larry Fitzgerald will remain a stud, no matter who's throwing him the ball.
