New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse caught two passes for 16 yards against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.

Huddle Up: Kearse has been targeted 24 times over the last three games but has only recorded eight catches and 66 yards during those games. He should be avoided in all leagues after the team returns from their Week 11 bye.

  • Posted: 11/4/2018 5:12pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse ended up with just three catches and 20 yards despite the fact he was targeted a game-high nine times in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Rookie Sam Darnold tried to feed it into Kearse but they were unable to connect very frequently. He has the eye of Darnold, though, and might be a bit of a sleeper heading into Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills.

  • Posted: 10/28/2018 5:25pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse finished with three receptions on a team-high 10 targets for 30 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 8.

Huddle Up: While all the targets didn't result in a productive game, it appears that Kearse is the go-to target for the Jets' banged-up receiving corps. He could be a flex option in PPR formats moving forward.

  • Posted: 10/21/2018 2:57pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse had no catches on two targets in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Huddle Up: Kearse was expected to see a bump in production with Quincy Enunwa out and Terrelle Pryor jettisoned earlier in the week, but he was invisible. Avoid him for fantasy purposes heading into Week 8 against the Bears.

  • Posted: 10/14/2018 6:47pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse caught nine of his 10 targets for 94 yards in a 42-34 win over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.

Huddle Up: Kearse has been an afterthought this season, but once Quincy Enunwa left with an injury, he became a focal point of the passing attack. Sam Darnold seems to love his possession receivers, so Kearse could have some flex potential against Minnesota in Week 7 if Enunwa is sidelined.

  • Posted: 10/7/2018 4:55pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse posted just one catch for 14 yards on four targets in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: Kearse ended the 2017 season as a starter and a bona fide fantasy option, but he entered the regular season banged up and he just hasn't jelled well with rookie Sam Darnold. Treat Kearse as more of a WR5 in most fantasy leagues, as he has upside but just isn't doing much right now. The Colts visit the Jets in Week 6.

  • Posted: 9/30/2018 7:46pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse had just two catches for 23 yards on five targets in Week 4 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huddle Up: Kearse was limited to just the two grabs, as he has really fallen off after emerging as a go-to option down the stretch last season. Rookie Sam Darnold has jelled nicely with Quincy Enunwa, leaving Kearse and Robby Anderson to fight for scraps.

  • Posted: 9/14/2018 1:24pm ET

Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) practiced in full for a third consecutive day Friday, Sept. 14 and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 2 game with the Miami Dolphins.

Huddle Up: Kearse missed the opener in Detroit on Monday due to his abdominal injury, but he appears to be in line to join the mix. He'll have to contend with Quincy Enunwa, who jelled nicely with Sam Darnold in Week 1, as well as Terrelle Pryor for targets. Take a wait-and-see approach with Kearse and make sure he can prove his health in a full game without any setbacks before plugging him into your active fantasy lineup.

  • Posted: 9/14/2018 10:08am ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) is expected to play in the Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 16.

Huddle Up: Kearse is set to make his 2018 debut, but not much can be expected fantasy-wise as WRs Robby Anderson, Quincy Enunwa and Terrelle Pryor are all better options in a low-volume N.Y. passing game with rookie QB Sam Darnold at the helm.

  • Posted: 9/12/2018 3:19pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Huddle Up: It looks like Kearse has a decent chance to play in Week 2 after missing the season opener. It is not known how he will be used in the passing game, so owners may want to see him play in a game before considering him a starting option.

  • Posted: 9/8/2018 2:05pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) was listed as a limited participant in practice Saturday, Sept. 8 and he is considered doubtful for the Week 1 game against the Detroit Lions.

Huddle Up: It appears Kearse will be on the sidelines looking on, so Quincy Enunwa and Terrelle Pryor will be fighting for targets behind starter Robby Anderson. Avoid Kearse for fantasy purposes in Week 1.

  • Posted: 9/7/2018 12:28pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 7.

Huddle Up: It appears Kearse may have a chance to play in Week 1, so owners should monitor the situation. He was a solid player for the Jets in 2017 and was expected to be a starter this season. Owners may want to use a more reliable option this week and see what Kearse does if he plays.

  • Posted: 9/6/2018 1:42pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 6.

Huddle Up: Kearse's status for Week 1 is uncertain at this point, but owners should be known more in a few days. He probably should be avoided in most leagues because he plays on Monday Night Football, and there would be limited options available if he is ruled out.

  • Posted: 8/31/2018 7:23am ET

Updating previous reports, New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) is feared to be out for Week 1 after a medical procedure on his abdominal injury.

Huddle Up: Kearse is a depth grab at receiver, but it looks like he won't be a flex option for the opener.

  • Posted: 8/27/2018 10:01am ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) is not participating in practice Monday, Aug. 27.

Huddle Up: Kearse is expected to be one of the starting receivers for the Jets this season after a solid 2017 season. He can be a late-round pick in some leagues and be a No. 5 receiver on fantasy rosters.

  • Posted: 8/25/2018 10:22am ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) did not play in the preseason game Friday, Aug. 24, because of a sore abdomen, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

Huddle Up: It looks like Kearse is dealing with a minor injury and should be fine for the start of the season. He is coming off a solid 2017 season and likely will be one of the starting receivers this season. He can be a No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy receiver in most leagues.

  • Posted: 7/18/2018 5:06pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse is not on the roster bubble despite speculation that the club may move on from him, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. Costello also believes Kearse can be a 'major player' in offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates' offense.

Huddle Up: The speculation of the Jets possibly dumping Kearse was fueled by their added depth at the wide receiver position, but it doesn't seem like that will happen. Kearse actually registered career highs across the board in receptions (65), targets (103) and yards (810) in his first year with the Jets, while also tying his high for touchdowns (five) in a season. He may have something to offer owners as a WR3.

  • Posted: 12/29/2017 3:15pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (ankle) practiced in full on Friday, Dec. 29, and he is off the injury report for the Week 17 game against the New England Patriots.

Huddle Up: Kearse appears to be fine for the regular season finale, but remember he has Bryce Petty under center and not Josh McCown. The receiver is best used as a WR4 or flex fantasy option heading into the finale.

  • Posted: 12/28/2017 3:52pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (ankle) missed practice for the second consecutive day Thursday, Dec. 28.

Huddle Up: Kearse has been one of the few constants in the Jets offense but it looks like he won't be able to participate in New England on Sunday for the season finale. If he's not active, it'll be another solid reason to deploy his teammate Robby Anderson, who would probably garner a ton of targets as a result.

  • Posted: 12/27/2017 3:45pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Dec. 27.

Huddle Up: Owners should monitor the situation to see if Kearse is in any danger of missing Week 17. He has been targeted at least six times in six of the last seven games but has posted at least 50 yards in only two of those games. Owners probably should look for other option for their lineups.

  • Posted: 12/24/2017 2:56pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse caught five passes for 42 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 16.

Huddle Up: Kearse has been mostly quiet since his back-to-back 100-yard performances a few weeks back. He still has been targeted at least six times in six of the last seven games but probably can be avoided in most leagues next week against the New England Patriots.

  • Posted: 12/17/2017 6:01pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse posted just three grabs for 28 yards on five targets in Week 15 against the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Kearse was unable to generate much offense, as he and Bryce Petty are not nearly on the same page like he and Josh McCown were in recent weeks. Kearse should be downgraded to WR5 status heading into Week 16 against the Chargers in a difficult matchup.

  • Posted: 12/15/2017 1:37pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) was able to practice in full for a third straight day Friday, Dec. 15, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 15 game with the New Orleans Saints.

Huddle Up: Kearse has revived his career in recent weeks with the Jets, putting up solid numbers for a WR3 or flex option. However, he will now be catching passes from the untested Bryce Petty, as Josh McCown (hand) is done, so there might be a learning curve and a decrease in production down the stretch.

  • Posted: 12/14/2017 1:10pm ET

New York Jets WRs Robby Anderson (hamstring) and Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) participated fully in practice Thursday, Dec. 14.

Huddle Up: The loss of Josh McCown is a substantial one for both Anderson and Kearse. It is now up to Bryce Petty to lead the Jets against arguably the most improved defense in the NFL in the New Orleans Saints. Anders is now a low-end WR2 or flex candidate while Kearse is more of a deep flex.

  • Posted: 12/13/2017 2:37pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) was listed as a full participant for practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Huddle Up: Kearse was able to take part in a full practice session, which is a good sign, as he is getting used to a new quarterback under center. Bryce Petty will start for the injured Josh McCown (hand) the rest of the way, so Kearse should now be counted on as nothing more than a low-end WR4 in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/8/2017 3:39pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) practiced in full for a third straight day Friday, Dec. 8, and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 14 game with the Denver Broncos.

Huddle Up: Kearse is a decent low-end WR3 or flex play in most fantasy leagues, as he has emerged as a decent weapon for Josh McCown. He has 16 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown over the past two games.

  • Posted: 12/7/2017 4:04pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) practiced in full for the second consecutive day Thursday, Dec. 7.

Huddle Up: Kearse has been piling up the stats lately, totaling a whopping 16 catches on 21 targets for 262 yards in his last two games alone. With Robby Anderson (hamstring) suddenly questionable to suit up this week, Kearse could be in line for another monstrous showing, and even if Anderson does play, the former Seattle Seahawk is still worth consideration as a WR3 in all leagues.

  • Posted: 12/6/2017 3:45pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) was listed as a full participant in practice Wednesday, Dec. 6.

Huddle Up: Kearse looks like he'll be good to go for Week 14. He has emerged as a decent WR4 or flex fantasy option in many fantasy formats.

  • Posted: 12/3/2017 2:49pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse caught nine passes for 157 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.

Huddle Up: Kearse posted his second straight 100-yard performance and has been targeted 21 times during that two-game span. He will be facing a tough Denver Broncos secondary next week but can be at least a flex option in most fantasy leagues.

  • Posted: 12/1/2017 4:02pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Dec. 1, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

Huddle Up: Kearse is coming off a terrific Week 12 performance where he posted 105 yards and one touchdown. He has received at least five targets in each of the last four games. He is a possible flex option in deeper fantasy leagues but is not a must-start option.

  • Posted: 11/29/2017 2:54pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 29.

Huddle Up: Kearse is easily coming off his best outing of the season, posting seven grabs for 105 yards and a touchdown last week against Carolina. He has scored three times in the past seven outings and has re-emerged as a useful WR4 in fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams.

  • Posted: 11/26/2017 6:51pm ET

New York Jets WR Jermaine Kearse finished with seven grabs for 105 yards and a score on a team-high 11 targets in Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers.

Huddle Up: Kearse has four or more receptions in seven of his 11 games, but this was by far his best performance of the season. Even with the big game he should only be considered as a WR4 or flex fantasy option in deeper PPR formats heading into Week 13 against Kansas City.
