Jamison Hensley, of The Baltimore Sun, reports the Baltimore Ravens worked out unrestricted free-agent WR David Tyree (Giants) Tuesday, Sept. 8. Tyree also underwent a physical during his visit.
The Huddle Take: If Tyree signs with Baltimore his value shoots up. Not into the stratosphere mind you, but high enough. He could easily challenge Mark Clayton as the second best receiver on the team, though some might argue that point. With the Ravens planning to air things out a bit more this year, this could be a great fit for him.

Bill Williamson, of ESPN.com, reports it would not be a surprise if the Kansas City Chiefs show interest in free-agent WR David Tyree. However, because he is a vested veteran, Tyree likely won't be signed until after Week 1. If he were to be signed before the first game and cut during the season, his entire season salary would be guaranteed.
The Huddle Take: So Tyree may not be on a roster by opening day, but he will be on the short list when a team starts looking for receiver help.

NFL.com reports the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens have shown interest in unrestricted free-agent WR David Tyree (Giants).
The Huddle Take: Tyree made some headlines after his Super Bowl performance a couple seasons ago, but with all the receivers in the fold for the Giants he ended up being the guy left out. The Ravens would be an ideal fit as the future is wide open in the receiver category, so it will be intriguing to see where he ends up.

The Star-Ledger reports the New York Giants have released WR David Tyree, according to his agent, Michael Clouser. 'I talked to (assistant GM) Kevin Abrams this morning and he said it was a very tough decision for the team,' Clouser said. 'Like anyone else, it was a tough thing for David to hear. He's actually saying his goodbyes to his teammates right now.'
The Huddle Take: From hero of Super Bowl XLII to being cut with just a single season of play in between. Not a surprise here as this had been rumored for a while. The fact that the Giants are fairly thin at receiver doesn't bode well for Tyree's hopes of landing on another NFL roster soon.

Giants.com reports New York Giants WR David Tyree (hamstring) will not play in the team's final preseason game.
The Huddle Take: The ax has been dangling above Tyree's head for weeks now. This will probably cause it to fall on the Super Bowl XLII hero.
