The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo and WR Roy Williams worked on some things after practice Wednesday, Nov. 4, to try and improve their on-field chemistry. Williams said the two will continue to work after practice until they produce more during games.
The Huddle Take: From what we've seen so far, they're going to need a lot of that work. Don't look for Williams and Romo to magically generate that chemistry after a few days of trying extra hard after practice. Williams needs to stay on your bench until he shows a pulse.

The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys WR Miles Austin has been targeted 23 times by QB Tony Romo in the team's last two games.
The Huddle Take: The emergence of Austin in the passing game has gone a long way to helping Romo break out of his slump the last two games. With Austin and Romo on the same page and developing more chemistry, fantasy owners should expect Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton to both see less action as long as Austin remains on the field.

The Associated Press reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo went 21-for-29 for 331 yards and three touchdowns in Week 7.
The Huddle Take: Romo posted a solid outing against the Falcons and showed why he has been the starting quarterback of the Cowboys for the last few seasons. It is hard to imagine Romo not performing well from time to time but look out if he continues to look like this and developing a nice chemistry with Miles Austin in this offense could pay huge dividends in the future.

DallasCowboys.com reports the Dallas Cowboys offense ranks 21st in touchdown conversion in the red zone this season, but QB Tony Romo does not think anything should be changed because the players just need to execute better. 'I think you just have to stay the course. The reality of it is we had some plays to be made. Myself, different personnel, different people. We just have to make a play, whether we hold up a block a little longer, or I throw it a little bit better. Someone catches it with a couple of people around there. That's part of executing. We've worked at doing that this last week and a half. Hopefully that will show this week,' Romo said.
The Huddle Take: Jason Witten's absence in the red zone has been conspicuous. Don't be surprised if the Cowboys target him much more often going forward. That is, if they don't need him to stay on the line to help block. That's the main reason he hasn't been putting up the numbers many expected.

The Associated Press reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo was 20-for-34 for 351 yards with two touchdown passes Week 5.
The Huddle Take: Romo exploded for a huge game to quiet the "naysayers" that have been speaking out against him the last few weeks. The Dallas quarterback had the best game of the season to this point against Kansas City in Week 5 and could be poised for a nice second half if this performance is any indication. Fantasy owners should not expect this type of game every week but keep in mind that Romo has been underperforming and could be emerging as a solid quarterback option once again.

Tom Orsborn, of the San Antonio Express-News, reports Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said during his weekly radio show that he remains committed to QB Tony Romo despite a poor Week 2 performance. "We have all the confidence in the world in Tony Romo," Jones said. Jones believes Romo has an ability to bounce back from tough games.
The Huddle Take: Dating Jessica Simpson was an appetizer for the spotlight that goes with playing quarterback for America's team. Despite the dreaded vote of confidence, it's unlikely Romo's job is in any jeopardy.

Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 18. He is listed as probable for Week 2 and will play.
The Huddle Take: Romo appears set to go for the divisonal matchup against the New York Giants and remains a solid No. 1 quarterback option for fantasy teams. Keep in mind that he will be playing against a stout Giant defense which could keep his numbers lower than normal for the Dallas quarterback.

The Associated Press reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (ankle) practiced Wednesday, Sept. 16. He does not expect it to be an issue as he prepares for the team's Week 2 game. Romo said, "I'll be fine. There's nothing wrong with it. ... It will be 100 percent."
The Huddle Take: There is definitely a sigh of relief in Dallas and among fantasy owners that are counting on Romo as a No. 1 quarterback this season. It appears that the injury is nothing serious and Romo should once again be ready to play when the Cowboys take the field in Week 2.

The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (ankle) will practice Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The Huddle Take: Romo's ankle shouldn't keep him from starting Sunday night against the Giants.
Posted: 9/14/2009 10:52am et
Tim MacMahon, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo suffered a right ankle injury in Week 1 but did not miss any snaps. "It'll be fine," Romo said of the injury following the game. Romo is scheduled for more tests Monday, Sept. 14.
The Huddle Take: Romo's stat line certainly indicates he wasn't bothered by the injury. Unless the tests reveal a surprising amount of damage, Romo should be good to go for Week 2.
