Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks DE Chris Clemons suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as a torn meniscus in Sunday's Wild Card playoff win over the Washington Redskins and will miss the rest of the season.
Huddle Up: The task against Matt Ryan and the top-seeded Falcons just got that much tougher for the Seahawks, who will be without their sack leader. Seattle might have to gamble with some more blitzes Sunday and approach the defensive game plan with more of a boom-or-bust mentality.

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks DL Chris Clemons will have an MRI on his knee Monday, Jan. 7. He left the NFC Wild Card game against the Washington Redskins, and a league source said there is a fear Clemons might have an ACL injury. Clemons posted a team-leading 11.5 sacks and he started all 16 games this season.
Huddle Up: Losing your team leader in sacks is not how you want to start your week prepping for a divisional-playoff road game against Matt Ryan and the top-seeded Falcons. And that even goes for a team as hot as the Seahawks, who have won 8 of their past 9 games. If Clemons is out, Seattle will have to lean on rookie Bruce Irvin and maybe work a few more blitzes into the mix against the high-powered Falcons.

Seattle Seahawks DL Chris Clemons matched a franchise record for the most sacks in a game, posting four first-half sacks in Week 3 against the Green Bay Packers Monday, Sept. 24. Clemons shares the franchise record with four others.
Huddle Up: Clemons spearheaded a swarming Seahawk defense which recorded eight sacks while pitching a first-half shutout against reigning league MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense. Rodgers fought back with some quick, short passes in the second half as Green Bay scored 12 straight points, but as was in ample evidence on MNF, the Seattle defense is a fantasy force, particularly playing at home.
