The New York Post reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) insists his right foot is not an issue. Manning said, "It feels great. It hasn't bothered me all week. I'm not taping it, I'm not doing anything with it any more. That's not the problem."
The Huddle Take: Whatever the reason, it's become obvious Manning is struggling. In his last three games he has three touchdown passes versus six interceptions, hasn't cracked the 250-yard mark, and his team is 0-3. There are too many good Fantasy quarterbacks to rely on Manning; keep him on your bench until he shows you he's snapped out of his funk.

The Associated Press reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning went 20-for-39 for 222 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in Week 8. Manning consistently threw high over his receivers or was the victim of bad route running.
The Huddle Take: The Giants just have not been in sync of late but certainly have the weapons on offense to post solid numbers against any opponent. Fantasy owners should not push the panic button yet but it certainly appears that Eli may be slipping to more of a high-end No. 2 quarterback at this point in the season.

The New York Daily News reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 22. He is expected to play in Week 7.
The Huddle Take: Manning's foot will probably be an issue for the rest of the season, but he'll play as long as he can tolerate the pain. This week he should be good to go against the Cardinals. Look for big numbers as he tries to make everyone forget the stinker he put up in New Orleans.

Giants.com, reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 21. He said his injured foot is not bothering him at all.
The Huddle Take: This is a good sign that the injury to Eli is healing as expected and should not be a major factor going forward. Fantasy owners should continue to view the Giants quarterback as a solid No. 1 option especially with the team having some nice performances out of their young receiving corp.

The New York Daily News reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) is participating in practice Thursday, Oct. 15.
The Huddle Take: There's no chance of Manning not starting a game played in his hometown of New Orleans. Unless you have a fantastic alternative, consider starting him as your Fantasy QB this week in a game that has all the makings of a shootout.

CBSSports.com reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (heel) will practice Wednesday, Oct. 14, but he will be limited, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.
The Huddle Take: Manning came out of last week's game with no aggravation of his foot injury, so look for a limited week of practice and for him to play in this week's game in New Orleans.

The New York Daily News reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) said his foot felt fine Monday, Oct. 12, after the team's Week 5 game. He is still planning to practice Wednesday, Oct. 15, and hopefully all week long. 'I felt good,' Manning said. 'I moved around and didn't have a setback by any means. I feel like it's getting better every day and should feel better this week and keep improving.' Manning said his goal is to have three full practices this week as the team heads into their Week 6 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
The Huddle Take: Manning will likely be fine for what is shaping up as a shootout with the Saints.

Updating a previous report, the New York Daily News reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) is taking some reps with the first-team offense during practice Friday, Oct. 9. He did not show any obvious limp while jogging. It also appeared that Manning did some drop backs and planted his right foot with no signs of obvious discomfort.
The Huddle Take: It's looking more and more like Manning will be able to give it a go Sunday. But if you start him, make sure you have absolutely no other viable option available. First of all, Manning's injury could flare up again at any time. If that happens, the Giants would likely be very cautious and put in David Carr. Secondly, the Raiders are far more vulnerable to the run than the pass, so there will probably be a heavy dose of Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw.

The Associated Press reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 8.
The Huddle Take: If Manning misses practice on Friday, he becomes a huge question mark. The Giants would probably be better served anyway resting Manning and letting David Carr get the start in an extremely winnable game at home against the Raiders. Even if Manning were able to play, the Giants would still likely rely largely on Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw to win the game on the ground.

Updating a previous report, the New York Daily News reports New York Giants QB Eli Manning (foot) has confirmed that he has plantar fasciitis. Manning said a doctor told him it is not as serious he has seen before because it affects only a portion of his foot. Manning has been told he can't make the injury worse. Manning sounds like he wants to try to play in Week 5.
The Huddle Take: It sounds good, at least. Maybe plantar fasciitis injuries aren't debilitating in all cases. Or maybe Manning is trying to make it sound better than it is. Either way, he would probably be better off resting this week, because the Giants have an extremely winnable game at home against the reeling Raiders. Phil Simms could probably suit up and the Giants would still win.
