Bob McManaman and Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, report Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald said he is upset that he has not been able to play at the level he was at last season so far this year. "I don't think I'm playing on the same level I was last year. There's definitely a lot of things I need to improve on to get back to playing at that clip. But rest assured, I'll continue to bust my hump to get myself back there," Fitzgerald said.
The Huddle Take: Fitzgerald's record-smashing postseason run set the bar pretty high, but no one works harder to prepare than he does. There is absolutely no reason to hit the panic button on Fitz just yet—and if the Fitz owner in your league is at all concerned, go ahead and take those worries right off his roster.

The Arizona Republic reports the brother of Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald, Marcus Fitzgerald, said via his Twitter account that Fitzgerald was not happy about his role in the offense during Week 2. Fitzgerald caught just four passes in the game. 'Just got off the phone with my brother. He's happy about the win. But PISSED he didn't get the ball thrown to him much!' Marcus Fitzgerald said.
The Huddle Take: Fitzgerald's not the only one who's chapped. Owners who spent a first round pick on the phenom are livid. He's averaged about 50 yards and a TD his first two games, but that's not the kind of production Fantasy owners expect. Maybe there is something after all to the argument that the Cardinal offense will suffer without Todd Haley. But there's obviously no need to panic. Yet. Fitzgerald should get his numbers soon enough.

AZCardinals.com reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has restructured his contract to help the team create some extra salary cap space. Fitzgerald said he felt it was something he should do. The new contract has to do with incentives Fitzgerald might earn this season, which under his old contract would have immediately taken up cap space if reached.
The Huddle Take: This is more than likely designed to create room so the Cardinals can sign fellow WR Anquan Boldin to a long-term deal. Don't be surprised if that occurs rather quickly.
Posted: 7/29/2009 4:18pm et
Jim Corbett, of USAToday.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald played with a broken left thumb and torn ligaments in two other fingers during the team's postseason run last season.
The Huddle Take: Really slowed him down, too, didn't it? If that's what Fitz can do with one good hand, imagine how good he'll be now that he's healthy.
Posted: 7/26/2009 11:34pm et
Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald said on his Twitter page that this is the best he has ever felt entering a season. He said he has some new tricks up his sleeve for the upcoming season.
The Huddle Take: Sounds like a big season in the making for the top projected wideout in the game.
Posted: 4/24/2009 4:00pm et
Confirming a previous report, the Arizona Republic, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald will appear on the cover of the Madden NFL 10 video game along with Pittsburgh Steelers SS Troy Polamalu.
The Huddle Take: Uh-oh. Is Fitzy immune to the Madden cover jinx? Did the curse retire when John Madden himself walked away from the booth? Does a cover-by-committee approach lessen the impact of the jinx? Stay tuned...
Posted: 2/8/2009 10:58pm et
The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught five passes for 81 yards with two receiving touchdowns during the Pro Bowl Sunday, Feb. 8.
The Huddle Take: Fitz has been on quite a roll in 2009, and he's sure to be sitting atop the wide receiver section of most fantasy cheat sheets this August.
Posted: 2/3/2009 12:22am et
The Arizona Republic reports Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald set postseason records for receiving yardage (546), receptions (30) and touchdowns (seven).
The Huddle Take: Just in case you've been under a rock for the past month, let this serve as a reminder that Fitz is the best wideout in football and if Kurt Warner returns to the Cardinals next year should be the first wide receiver off the board in fantasy drafts across the nation.
Posted: 1/19/2009 2:11am et
The Associated Press reports Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had nine receptions for 153 yards with three touchdowns during the team's NFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 18. Fitzgerald has set a single-postseason record with 419 receiving yards.
The Huddle Take: And Fitzy has another game to add on to his record-breaking total as the Cardinals will make their first appearance in the Super Bowl by virtue of their win over Philadelphia.
