The Philadelphia Eagles released DE Jason Babin on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Huddle Up: The fallout continues in the Eagles' lost season, and surprisingly, the latest casualty is Babin, who in 2011 ranked third in the league with 18 sacks. He had 6 in 11 games this season for a defense which has become a sieve, surrendering 26 or more points in each of the past 6 games.

Updating a previous report, Philadelphia Eagles DL Jason Babin
(calf) estimates he is '98.9 percent' recovered from a calf injury
suffered July 28. He is confident he'll be ready to play in Week 1
against the Cleveland Browns.
Huddle Up: After finishing third in the league with 18 sacks a year ago, Babin
is the most fearsome Eagle when it comes to pressuring the QB. The
Philly defense already ranks a good fantasy start this Sunday
against the youthful Browns, and Babin's presence only boosts that
stock.

Philadelphia Eagles DE Jason Babin (calf) is not expected to return until the final preseason game at the earliest; however, he should be ready for Week 1.
Huddle Up: This would be absolutely huge for the Eagles and their NFC East title aspirations. Babin was nothing short of explosive in his debut season in Philly a year ago, finishing third in the league with 18 sacks and forcing 3 fumbles. Paired with fellow DE Trent Cole (11 sacks in '11), Babin helped th Eagles finished among the top-10 highest-scoring fantasy defenses last year, and there's no reason it can't happen again if the DE duo is healthy and bringing the heat up front.
