AZCardinals.com reports Arizona Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby said during a radio interview that the Arizona Cardinals told him that negotiations on a long-term deal were over. The Cardinals have until Wednesday, July 15, to agree to a long-term deal.
The Huddle Take: From a fantasy standpoint, if a deal doesn't get done, the motivation becomes huge for Dansby as he essentially plays for a contract this year and that usually means career years. On the other hand, it also could make for an unhappy player which tends to go the other way...but we'd be on the former.

The Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals have begun contract talks with impending free-agent LB Karlos Dansby. Kirk Wood, Dansby's agent, said the negotiations are in the preliminary stages. The Cardinals may place the franchise tag on Dansby.
The Huddle Take: Dansby's postseason play garnered plenty of attention and should help add some digits to his new contract—be it in Arizona or elsewhere.
