With the departure of WR Jerricho Cotchery to the Carolina Panthers, the Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to add a big-bodied receiver in the upcoming NFL Draft. Texas A&M WR Mike Evans has been mentioned as a possible pickup if available.

Huddle Up: Unlikely that Evans is still on the board when the Steelers' selection rolls around at 15, but it's a deep receiver class so don't rule anything out. A bigger target would definitely compliment what Pittsburgh currently has on its receiver depth chart.

The Carolina Panthers agreed to terms with WR Jerricho Cotchery (Steelers) Thursday, March 20. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Huddle Up: Cotchery hauled in 46 passes for 602 yards and a career-high 10 TDs as the No. 3 wideout for the Steelers but now figures to be a starter for the Panthers, who have lost WRs Steve Smith, Brandon LaFell and Ted Ginn this offseason.

Free-agent WR Jerricho Cotchery (Steelers) left his visit with the Carolina Panthers without a contract Tuesday, March 18, and it's believed he will choose between the Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a source. A decision could come as soon as Wednesday, March 19.

Huddle Up: Cotchery, one of 10 WRs to finish with double-digit TD catches this past season, has some decent leverage as both teams are in need of WR help with Steve Smith, Brandon LaFell, Ted Ginn and Emmanuel Sanders all having moved on this offseason.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have had preliminary talks with free-agent WR Jerricho Cotchery (Steelers), but no deal is imminent at this point.

Huddle Up: Cotchery, who had a career-high 10 TDs among his 46 catches this past season, also reportedly will meet with the Carolina Panthers, but he's moved up higher on the Steelers' priority list following Emmanuel Sanders' signing with the Denver Broncos.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to re-sign impending free-agent WR Jerricho Cotchery this offseason.

Huddle Up: Cotchery was a fantasy surprise this season, hauling in a career-high 10 TD passes and finishing with his most receptions (46) since 2009.

Posted: 12/10/2013 1:52pm et

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said WR Jerricho Cotchery (shoulder) may be limited early in the week of practice with a shoulder injury.

Huddle Up: Keep an eye on this as Cotchery has somehow flown under the fantasy radar in many leagues despite his 9 TD catches this season. Now true, his 41 catches aren't so impressive, but at some point, his nose for the end zone has to be respected.

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Jerricho Cotchery caught his career-high seventh touchdown pass of the year in the team's Week 11 win over the Detroit Lions, and he remains one of QB Ben Roethlisberger's most consistent targets. 'Jerricho is a conversion van. He's always going to be there. He's going to tote the family well. He's going to be safe. He makes every catch he's supposed to and makes all the plays he should make. He's an awesome player. He's underrated in this league but he's eating people up in the slot,' FS Ryan Clark said.

Huddle Up: Seven of Cotchery's 34 receptions have been TDs, and he nearly has as many scoring grabs as starters Antonio Brown (5), Emmanuel Sanders (2) and TE Heath Miller (1) combined this season. Keep riding him while he's hot.
