Jets Confidential, reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 30. He said he will play in Week 8.

The Huddle Take: The Jets have a tough divisional game against Miami this week and would like nothing better than to have Cotchery back on the field to battle a depleted Miami secondary. Cotchery is a huge weapon and with the emergence of Braylon Edwards in the offense, he could post some nice numbers barring any setback to his hamstring injury.

The Associated Press reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 8 but is expected to play in the game.

The Huddle Take: Cotchery is a risky Fantasy start, even if the Dolphin secondary is banged up. A wide receiver with a bad hamstring is never a good combination.

Jets Confidential, reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 29, and he is probably questionable for Week 8. He was seen running straight in practice, but he did not do any cutting. He will be a game-time decision.

The Huddle Take: It certainly does not sound like Cotchery will play in Week 8 since he is not cutting and is catering to his hamstring injury. Fantasy owners should expect David Clowney to likely get the starting nod in his place if he cannot play this week.

Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery was pleased with his results after practice Wednesday, Oct. 28, and declared himself ready for Week 8.

The Huddle Take: Cotchery has been dealing with a hamstring issue, but it sounds as if he'll be good to go for this week's rematch with the Dolphins.

ProFootballTalk.com reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) looked sharp during drills in practice Wednesday, Oct. 28. Head coach Rex Ryan previously expressed confidence that Cotchery would play in Week 8.

The Huddle Take: A good sign that Cotchery could return to the Jets starting lineup this weekend, which would be a definite boost to the passing game.

The Star Ledger, reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) agreed with the team's decision to keep him out of their Week 7 game. Cotchery said, "I don't want to be out there for five games just half speed. I just want to be out there ready to go full speed and be able to help the offense and not hinder the offense. That's the focus to get back to full speed so I can get out there and be who I want to be."

The Huddle Take: With Cotchery expected to be out for Week 7 this should once again open the door for David Clowney to get the start in his place. The Jets have a nice matchup against the Oakland Raiders which could mean that Clowney could have some nice numbers and provide fantasy owners with a decent replacement for bye weeks or injury replacements.

The New York Daily News reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) did very little during the media-access portion of practice Thursday, Oct. 22.

The Huddle Take: Cotchery's availability for this week's game against the Raiders is way up in the air. With the poor performances turned in recently by QB Mark Sanchez, however, even if Cotchery plays he wouldn't be worth recommending as a starter.

Jets Confidential, reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) missed the team's practice Friday, Oct. 16. He is listed as doubtful for Week 6 and has not been ruled out, but he appears to be a long shot to play.

The Huddle Take: With the Jets looking at not having wideout Jerricho Cotchery for Week 6 since he is nursing a hamstring injury, fantasy owners should expect receiver David Clowney to once again get the start. The Jets played well in a loss to Miami on Monday night with Braylon Edwards establishing himself as the No. 1 go to guy in New York. Expect more of the same this week with Clowney providing some decent numbers with the defense likely focusing more on Edwards.

Dan Leberfeld, of Jets Confidential, reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery missed the team's practice Thursday, Oct. 15, and is highly unlikely to play Week 6.

The Huddle Take: Cotchery was limited Monday night by a hamstring injury, and that issue continues to plague him. Braylon Edwards appeared pretty comfortable in the Jets' offense last week and would be in line to take Cotchery's looks once again.

Newsday reports New York Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery (hamstring) said he might have re-injured his hamstring Week 5. He was not sure about his status for Week 6.

The Huddle Take: Possible injuries to Cotchery and David Clowney should open the door for Braylon Edwards to get a lot more opportunities.
