The Associated Press reports Jacksonville Jaguars WR Troy Williamson caught four passes for 84 receiving yards with a touchdown Thursday, Aug. 28.
The Huddle Take: What the AP didn't say is that they threw 72 passes to Williamson so he could make the four catches. We jest, but don't let these stats deceive you: despite David Garrard playing three series in this game, all of Williamson's catches came from the backup quarterbacks. He's still buried on the depth chart, and the most he'll bring to the fantasy table is the potential for a few deep balls—followed by several seconds of profuse swearing after he drops the ball despite no one being within 10 yards of him. But maybe that's worth something in your league's scoring system.

The Pioneer Press reports word out of Jacksonville indicates that Jacksonville Jaguars WR Troy Williamson enjoyed the best minicamp workouts of any player on the team.
The Huddle Take: Williamson is projected to be the starting receiver opposite veteran Jerry Porter in the Jaguars offense this season but will be pushed in training camp by Matt Jones, Dennis Northcutt and John Brussard. If Williamson continues to star for the Jags in training camp he could be a nice No. 3 or No. 4 fantasy sleeper at the wideout position this year.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Troy Williamson caught almost everything thrown his way during the team's two-day minicamp over the weekend. Williamson had a problem dropping passes last season with the Vikings but has made good progress during the offseason.
The Huddle Take: Williamson will be looking to land a starting receiver position in training camp and joins Jerry Porter, Matt Jones, Dennis Northcutt and Reggie Williams on the Jaguars roster. Fantasy owners should wait and see how things are shaping up when training camps officially open in July before taking a chance on any Jacksonville receivers this season.
