The Seattle Seahawks have released WR Mike Williams.

Huddle Up: That should just about wrap it up for Williams and his disappointing-but-gutsy career. He should have been a Calvin Johnson-type behemoth but it just never worked out for him. Williams logged the best freshman/sophomore numbers of any WR in NCAA history then declared for the draft too early. He showed up for the Combine overweight and never fully adjusted to the demands of professional football. Give Big Mike credit for fighting back and playing some good football in 2010, but at this point it's a stretch to think anyone has a use for him; even at the veteran's minimum salary.
