Aaron Wilson, of the National Football Post, reports Baltimore Ravens WR Mark Clayton is confident he will be ready for the team's Week 1 game. Clayton said, "I'm excited about it, I feel good. I feel ready to go. I'm ready to have a good week of practice and get out on the field on Sunday (Sept. 13). I'm ready to play a whole game, but we'll do as the coaches see fit. I feel great. I haven't had to hold back at all."

The Huddle Take: Clayton has been battling a hamstring injury this preseason, while Kelley Washington performed well enough to threaten his starting job. No wonder Clayton is letting people know he's ready to go; he's worried the Ravens might forget about him.

The Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens WR Mark Clayton (hamstring) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 9. He worked with the first-team offense during practice.

The Huddle Take: As with most players with hamstring injuries, these tend to linger and limit production for some time. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Clayton to see how he looks if indeed he plays in Week 1 but temper your expectations until he proves he is fully recovered from this injury.

The Baltimore Sun reports Baltimore Ravens WR Mark Clayton (hamstring) said his hamstring is not torn but he could miss a few weeks of practice because of the injury.

The Huddle Take: Since we're only five-plus weeks from the start of the regular season, "a few weeks" gets Clayton dangerously close to missing a game or two. The un-retirement of Derrick Mason is looking like a very fortuitous thing for the Ravens.

The Baltimore Sun reports Baltimore Ravens WR Demetrius Williams made several good catches during practice Friday, July 31. WR Mark Clayton also caught a few passes, but was flagged for offensive pass interference on one play.

The Huddle Take: Williams is going to be relied upon heavily this year with Mason having retired. He should see one on one coverage most of the time and if he can actually hold on to the ball should have more than a few long plays. The downside is, he's had this opportunity with the Ravens before and couldn't capitalize, so there is a lot to prove.
