CBSSports.com reports Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 11.
The Huddle Take: White continues to be hampered by a knee injury but is expected to be ready to go when the Falcons take the field this weekend. Check back on his status toward the end of the week to make sure he is practicing and has not had any other setbacks.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 6. Head coach Mike Smith said he expects White to play in Week 9.
The Huddle Take: No worries here. It sounds like White will be good to go against the Redskins. Washington has had a pretty effective pass defense most of the season, so it should be difficult for White to post really big numbers.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 5. He likely will play in Week 9.
The Huddle Take: He may be likely to play as of now, but it's always a concern when someone doesn't practice this late in the week. Don't assume White is going to play just yet. Make sure he practices Friday. Even then, keep an eye on the inactives list Sunday morning to be certain. A lot of Calvin Johnson owners assumed Megatron would play against the Rams in Week 8 and were burned because of it.

AtlantaFalcons.com reports Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White (knee) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Nov. 4.
The Huddle Take: Atlanta would sorely miss White if he is unable to play due to his knee injury, but at the present time it appears that he is still in line to play as a potential game time decision. Fantasy owners should check back later in the week to see if White is practicing and what his updated status might be for the weekend tilt.

The Associated Press reports Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White had eight receptions for a career-high 210 yards with two touchdowns Week 5.
The Huddle Take: The top wideout for Atlanta Roddy White, continues to have a big season and develop nice chemistry with quarterback Matt Ryan. This is a combo that could pay huge dividends over the rest of the season and into future years. Fantasy owners utilizing White in their lineup should be smiling for sometime with performances like this likely to happen more often.

ESPN, reports the Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms on a six-year contract worth $50 million with WR Roddy White, according to a team source. The deal includes $18.6 million in guaranteed money. He will report to training camp Sunday, Aug. 8.
The Huddle Take: That sound you heard is a sigh of relief by fantasy owners and the Falcons as White and the team have come to an agreement which will bring the talented receiver back to training camp to prepare for the season. White has shown a strong presence on the field the last few seasons and adds tremendous value to a Falcon offense that is on the rise with quarterback Matt Ryan developing at a faster rate than most rookie quarterbacks. Expect White to post solid numbers in 2009.

D. Orlando Ledbetter, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said the season-ending injury to WR Harry Douglas will not force the team to push negotiations with WR Roddy White, who is in a holdout. Dimitroff said, "We will not approach it that way. In our minds, that's not how it works."
The Huddle Take: Lack of depth at wide receiver isn't likely to loosen Arthur Blank's wallet. So we'll let this dance continue; meanwhile, Matt Ryan and Tony Gonzalez will have ample time to get on the same page.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports contract negotiations between the Atlanta Falcons and WR Roddy White have taken a turn for the worse. General manager Thomas Dimitroff said, "I'm a little bit disappointed with the direction that the negotiations are going at this point. It's one of those situations where both parties are digging in and feel strongly about their case." The team is considering withdrawing their offer to White.
The Huddle Take: The potential absence of White in the Falcon offense for whatever reason could certainly be a major setback for a team like Atlanta that is on the rise. If White holds out for any length of time then you should consider moving QB Matt Ryan down slightly on your draft lists since Atlanta will be hard pressed to find a replacement of the same caliber for him to throw the ball to.

NFL.com reports the Atlanta Falcons are trying to sign holdout WR Roddy White to a contract extension, however the amount of money discussed has been an issue. White is seeking more than the $9 million average and $16 million guaranteed Green Bay Packers WR Greg Jennings received in a three-year extension. The Falcons had hoped to reach a deal well before now, but they don't want the dollars to venture into Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald territory. Fitzgerald signed a four-year, $40 million deal last summer.
The Huddle Take: White and then-rookie Matt Ryan clicked immediately last season, but you can't just flip a switch and hope to instantly re-create that chemistry. It takes reps in training camp, and that's what White is missing. The longer he holds out, the more he gets downgraded. Granted, it's a slight downgrade, but it's a downgrade nonetheless.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White skipped the team's first workout of training camp in an apparent contract holdout.
The Huddle Take: This wouldn't be a good thing for the Falcons or fantasy owners in keeper leagues or that have drafted already. White is expected to be one of the top receivers in the game this year, and a hold out could make him slip some.
