The Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos RB J.J. Arrington (knee) was released from the team Wednesday, May 27, after failing his physical. Arrington underwent knee surgery this offseason and had been unable to participate in the team's OTAs.
The Huddle Take: Arrington, who had played for many seasons in Arizona, was in line to compete for a starting job in Denver prior to his release for failing a physical. The Broncos will have a variety of running backs vying for playing time this year. As for Arrington, it appears that he will have some rehab to do before he will be playing for another NFL team.

Updating a previous report, the Denver Broncos have announced they have signed unrestricted free-agent RB J.J. Arrington. Terms of the contract were not disclosed but an earlier report stated it is a four-year deal worth $10 million.
The Huddle Take: There was some gray area earlier as to whether or not Arrington's deal was official, but now everything is signed, sealed and delivered. And the Broncos are back to having a stable full of running backs; it's like Mike Shanahan never left.

The Denver Post reports the Broncos' contract agreement with RB J.J. Arrington may fall through because there are some issues with the language in the contract. J.R. Rickett, Arrington's agent, said the deal with the Broncos is not dead yet.
The Huddle Take: Maybe the Broncos realized it was J.J. Arrington they were signing. We'll let the two sides sort out the paperwork before we slot Arrington into the Broncos backfield alongside Correll Buckhalter.

ESPN.com, reports the Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent RB J.J. Arrington on a four-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Huddle Take: Arrington was largely disappointing during his tenure as a Cardinal. In Denver, he'll most likely handle third-down duties and return kicks.

NFL.com reports Arizona Cardinals RB J.J. Arrington (knee) was limited during practice Friday, Jan. 30. He is listed as questionable for Super Bowl XLIII.
The Huddle Take: J.J. isn't exactly near the top of the Cardinals' list of key offensive weapons; in fact, he barely cracks the top 10. But you'd have to think that the number of opportunities Arrington may have to play in a Super Bowl might suggest to him that he find a way to be on the field for this one.
