The Providence Journal reports the New England Patriots have signed free-agent QB Andrew Walter (Raiders). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Huddle Take: Confirming that it is now a done deal. Walter has every chance of claiming the number two spot in New England.

ESPN reports the New England Patriots are likely to sign free-agent QB Andrew Walter (Raiders).
The Huddle Take: Walter could be an upgrade over anyone they've got behind Brady, and as was seen last year, that is a very important spot to have some relative talent. While he likely wont affect any drafts, it's good to know the names behind the most well known QB in the league.
