The Cincinnati Bengals placed WR Chris Henry (forearm) on the Injured Reserve List Monday, Nov. 9. He underwent surgery Monday.
The Huddle Take: Andre Caldwell's role will likely increase in Henry's absence.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced WR Chris Henry (forearm) actually suffered a fractured forearm. His season may be over.
The Huddle Take: His loss helped boost Laveraneous Coles' output, and should put him as a slightly better option than he has been so far, but it also will likely keep Andre Caldwell as a solid option going forward. Henry has been a good receiver when healthy, but that is the key phrase - when healthy. He looks to lose another big chunk of a season.

Bengals.com reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry said his quadriceps is feeling better and expects to practice Thursday, Sept. 24.
The Huddle Take: It's not unusual for players to work an extra off day into the weekly in-season schedule. Henry doesn't appear in danger of missing this weekend's game.

Bengals.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry got in on 18 of the team's 63 snaps Week 1. Offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski said after practice Wednesday, Sept. 16, "obviously we need to have him in there more." Part of the reason Henry didn't get more work Week 1 was because he missed a day of practice with a quadriceps injury, and there was some concern about making his packages too extensive.
The Huddle Take: Henry has always been loaded with talent and when he stays on the field he can be one of the best targets in the Bengals arsenal. Fantasy owners will likely see a gradual increase in his opportunities over the next few weeks as he attempts to get more involved in the offense and look to pick up some of the slack from the loss of T.J. Houshmandzadeh in the offseason. Henry is a solid sleeper pick this year with tremendous upside.

The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry caught a seven-yard touchdown pass during the team's preseason game Thursday, Sept. 3. Henry caught a touchdown pass in each of the team's preseason games.
The Huddle Take: Henry is rekindling memories of his 2006 campaign, when he scored nine touchdowns as Cincy's third receiver. The possibility of another helpful fantasy campaign is making Henry a trendy sleeper wideout.

ESPN.com reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry said he has learned his lesson through the NFL's discipline against him. Henry has been suspended a total of 14 games in the last three seasons for violating league policy. "Yeah, it helped me," Henry said, according to USA Today. "It helped me focus up, and it made me realize that if I continually wanted to play, I had to do right and be a professional." QB Carson Palmer said he's convinced Henry has reflected on his ways and made changes. "I'm very close with him. We spend a lot of time together," Palmer said. "I've seen it firsthand. He's a different person."
The Huddle Take: Henry has had a strong exhibition slate, and most importantly he hasn't run afoul of any of the league's policies. If he and Palmer are on the same page off the field, that could go a long way towards Henry carrying his preseason showing into the regular season and repeating the success he had in 2006

The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry caught two passes for 62 yards with a touchdown reception during the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 27. Henry has all three of the team's touchdown receptions in the preseason.
The Huddle Take: Henry's preseason is rekindling memories of the nine-touchdown season he had in 2006 prior to a series of off-the-field missteps. If Carson Palmer stays healthy, the Bengals might once again offer enough in the passing game to produce three decent fantasy wideouts.

CBSSports.com reports Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said he wants more consistency from WR Chris Henry, particularly better concentration, despite Henry's seven-catch performance in the preseason opener. 'I let him play a little bit longer tonight just to get (the drops) out of him. He's had some drops in practice. If he's going to help us at all, he needs to be more consistent so we can count on him all the time,' Lewis said.
The Huddle Take: Henry made a good case (7-100, 1TD) for getting into the regular season WR rotation for the Bengals, but it appears HC Lewis is looking for even more. Keep an eye in this one as #2 WR Coles has a history of injuries and was banged up last night.

Chick Ludwig, of the Dayton Daily News, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry is in the final year of a two-year contract and believes he is going to have a breakout campaign "It's going to be a big year for me," Henry said. "I've been working hard. I feel like I'm at my best right now, and I'm going to do everything I can to help the team get to where we're trying to get."
The Huddle Take: There is certainly opportunity here, with the departure of T.J. Houshmandzadeh and the return to health of Carson Palmer. But the question has never been about Henry's on-field talents; it's his amazing ability to find trouble off the field that has hampered his NFL career.
Posted: 6/22/2009 2:47pm et
James Walker, of ESPN.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry had added roughly five pounds of muscle in the offseason, bulking up to 205 pounds. Henry will try to put on a few more pounds before the start of the regular season, if possible.
The Huddle Take: Adding weight is fine, so long as it doesn't negatively impact Henry's speed. And so long as it doesn't come from getting three square meals a day behind bars.
