The Palm Beach Post reports the Miami Dolphins have traded CB Travis Daniels to the Cleveland Browns for an undisclosed draft pick.
The Huddle Take: Travis Daniels, the third year veteran from LSU, will join the Browns due to obvious problems in their defensive secondary. As was clearly evident in Cleveland's last preseason game against the N.Y. Giants, the secondary was clearly the achilles heel of this team as they had trouble stopping Eli Manning and the starting offense of the world champions the entire time. If the Browns are going to compete this year they needed to upgrade their defense. This is a step in the right direction in acquiring Daniels but he will need some help from others in hopes of developing a cohesive unit capable of making the playoffs in 2008.
